If I play apex legends on pc can I tap strafe if I use XIM apex ?

The controller version lacks the "lurch" mechanic, without that you cannot tab strafe to my understanding.
Since you will run the controller version of the game when playing with a XIM on PC i suspect a tab stafe to not work. But i could be wrong there, maybe wait for someone to respond who has already tried it.

any news on this? is it possible to use XIM on pc and still tap strafe?
