Beloader is a useless device. How long do you think we should wait for ps5 full support?
-
Until something is reverse engineered, then you might as well get an Xbox Series X for shooters lol.

We aren't hackers, so, a solution will never come from us. The Beloader group are, and, they are working on it. You should forward that question to them.
-
I wouldn't say the device is NOT useless, it does have teething problems yes I admit that. But the latest firmware 20211220.1513 using Xim set to 250hz has been working fine for me now. Played about 4 hours last night no disconnects and no Xim flashing purple.
I am using Razer Keyboard and G502 mouse all wired.
I am happy with the product now.

U can change it to 1000hz in xim.
I played all day yesterday with 1000hz xim and wired devices
Mouse 1000hz
1 disconnect in 3 hours i guess was, but i replug deloader and continue gaming in same lobby of Vanguard.

Yeah I am happy with the device now, it's working great for me. I sort have got used to the 250hz but may try 1000 again.

Beloader works perfect now for me with the latest firmware together woth APEX and PS5 controller. I have external powee supply on the XIM USB Hub and set polling rate for APEX to 1000 Hz. Everything fine, no purple lights and no disconnects.

Mine it was working perfecet once i try to update it , it stucked on upgrade mode i cant do nothing unstuck it i plug the beloader to my pc its direct opens the upgrade mode i m plugging it to my ps5 same story im try to update it to any firmware seems that is taken the firmware im unplug it im pluging back same firmware plus it has stuck on upgrade menu is like im holding the button always to open the upgrade mode, i try to contact them to ask them why my beloader it has been stuck no answear i try to join the forum there im waiting from yesterday an authorized email from them but still nothing . Yup, that's why I won't going to get one... out of principle.
I mean this is my own words, but if you etics are skewed from the get go... I don't know if I can trust you because, every one can develop a new product but SUPPORT is a BIG factor, and I doubt it they are going to pull that off.
I know having a laptop or PC next to your console is not quite convenient but... man wired Remote Play works flawlessly, I had zero - zero issues with it, and this forum looks more like a Beloader support/complain box >:(
I had a spare Raspberry Pi 4, which I think could be a more reliable, hassle free solution than beloader, going to look into make it a PS5 Remote Play endpoint, setting up a quick guide to give you an option.
It sucks for us PS players but, well that's on Sony.
-
There is a community project going on that enables the use of a RPi to be a Remote Play client (including wired). The community member that is working on it is very good so I expect the solution to be excellent. It sounds like he is getting close to general release -- but, I'm sure he would let you test it out.
-
Yeah the raspberry pi solution looks really good , much better than beloader in my opinion. Firstly it's wired and that eliminates a huge number of issues , secondly just look how many people are having issues with beloader. Fake reviews on the website and phoney sales numbers are enough to make me stay well clear.
-
No problems here with the beloader. 1000hz with the ps5 controller. Solid gaming session of 10 hours without diconnect. Will there also be a time that we can get ps5 st profiles?
-
Yea at this point i think xim devs needs to bring ps5 st profiles we have so many dif ways to use xim on ps5 and ps5 games remote play beloader etc we need support also
-
ok i haven't updated bealoder yet, i would like to know usb power supply is basically for beloader working?
-
ok i haven't updated bealoder yet, i would like to know usb power supply is basically for beloader working?
usb power aupply is not for beloder to work is for mk beloder is getting power from ps5 usb port which more than enough

Until we get a legitimate solution, I’m not going to want a subpar ST. The team above all else is about quality. As a PS5 owner would love support too but not at the cost of compromised solutions from the Xim Team. Considering the amount of issues beloader has with multiple users, would just be a big hassle for a small team.
-

There is exactly one way to play DualSense-locked games on PS5 - Sony’s Remote Play protocol. The issue preventing support is performance as only wired Ethernet offers predictable results.
Not everyone has a PC, Mac or PS4 for the PS Remote Play app, nor a wireless network good enough for solid Beloader performance, nor a Raspberry Pi for Chiaki Remote Play, which has problems too. Remote Play app performance on mobile devices is also sub-par with frequent lag spikes over 2000ms.
The best Remote Play solution appears to be apex_vip’s Pi app which will have Ethernet support, but it’s still a third-party community project, which XIM can’t rely upon for official PS5 ST support.
We’ll likely need to wait for the DualSense to be cracked before XIM supports PS5 because it’s the only method with predictable performance and ongoing support. If you’re not happy with that, there’s always Xbox.
-
ok i haven't updated bealoder yet, i would like to know usb power supply is basically for beloader working?
Connection what i have is power supply then beloader in de power supply. Xim in the beloader. Duel sence in the xim hub with the 3 Dots and then 3.5 Jack to USB from the xim hub to the pa5

Most people are using remote play OR beloader. There is no delay at all with remote play and beloader. You Just need to set IT up right. Sobi would love to see some ps5 support. Because now some games you Just cant play like hell let loose.....

Im see that any post u make u keep bring up that xbox is the solution . Are u selling xboxs or what, trust me on my 40 years old i know already that xbox works flawless with xim. Tbh i dont care who has laptop or not idc if people have bad internet and remote play or beloader is not working for them for me not even with wire connected ps remote play is working great no lag or any disconnecting or any problem the same for the beloader sooo from my point of view im Gucci rn with the current solutions . Offcourse if the ds5 will be crack it will be even better for all but now im happy with out buy a [email protected]€box . So official st for ps5 will be great

Xbox has no issues with XIM devices. PS5 does. Want hassle-free next-gen gaming with a XIM? Xbox is the simplest solution. My recommendation is based on over a decade of experience using XIM devices on both Xbox and PS consoles. The choice is really easy once you take the emotion out of the decision.
Remote Play for PS5 works well over ethernet, but too few people set it up correctly, or have the requisite equipment for it to be a viable solution for XIM support. Wireless is laggy, Beloader is buggy and XIM won't offer a solution for PS5 that isn't bulletproof for everyone.
I'm a long-time PS user and have no problem admitting that Series X kills PS5, it's not even close. I swapped from PS to Xbox this generation for cross-platform gaming for better console performance, e.g Destiny 2 is 1440p 120FPS on XSX for both PvE & PvP, but only 1080p 60FPS on PS5 for PvE and 1080p 120Hz for PvP...the difference is jarring.
Furthermore, XIM STs are 16-bit (65000 data points) on Xbox versus 8-bit (256 data points) on PS to map the look mechanics, meaning more accurate & responsive mouse performance on Series X than PS5.
Take the fanboy out the equation ("[email protected]€box" is based on nothing more than brand tribalism) and objectively, Series X is the far better choice for XIM gaming. I have a PS5, but only for the exclusives and my back-catalogue of PS4 games (which have additional input lag on PS5). Every cross-platform game from the last decade plays better and feels better with a XIM on Series X.
I won't buy any PS5 games until 1440p is supported, which the console can do natively as most 4K upscaling on PS is 1440p chequerboarding. But Sony is intentionally blocking 1440p on PS5 to attempt to force customers to buy 4K HDMI 2.1 HDTVs that they don't need, which is anti-consumer. 1080p looks crap on a 27" screen or larger, and 4K 60FPS performance is abysmal compared to 1440p 120Hz. Even a modest indie game like Outer Wilds can only squeeze 30FPS out of 4K on PS5!
And no, I don't sell consoles for any manufacturer. The margin for all consoles is almost zero (profit margins are a few bucks, which the payment gateway will take processing the transaction) so it is not worth the hassle to ship or deal with console warranty issues.
-
Im not gonna lie that post is long and most of it we know already that is true but im a casual gamer numbers for me is just numbers for my eyes looks the same yes destiny is way better on xbox as u saying but im not playing desting tbh lol plus when it cames about friendships that i have done the last 18 years beeing on ps then going on xbox os not an option . Also i can say that im using wirelless ps remote control and i have no lag what so ever at least what my eye can feel its smooth amd no disconnection what so ever i just wanted for those few guys including my self that we can use with no issue ps remote play and beloader without any problem to have ps5 sts i think even for one customer it worth to have ps5 sts
-
The objective is to support Remote Play that doesn't rely on one specific third-party device or another. Ethernet Remote Play via PC, Mac or PS4 is excellent, but it's not foolproof.
It looks like Beloader is adding support for wired LAN adapters, as is the Raspberry Pi solution being developed by apex_vip. If that happens and they resolve some bugs with their setup and PSN token authentication, we may see XIM support for PS5 games in the near future for wired Remote Play.
It won't happen if we need to use wireless Remote Play - ethernet is much more stable and predictable. You could still use wireless Remote Play, but it's unlikely to be officially supported by XIM.

Lmfao, if you were serious about the game you'd play it on PC. Get the F outta here with that Destiny Console b.s. That is seriously peasant style.
I have a PS5 and an Xbox|X and I play the Xbox .... for one single game, Forza Horizon 5. And that's only because my wheel is connected to my Xbox usually since i have more racing games on there than PC. Otherwise, I'd use PC for that too.
Simple fact is that PC can do every single thing the Xbox can, but better, and there is no such thing as a game that exists on the Xbox that you can't play on PC. But meanwhile... PS5 has over 30 games I can name *off the top of my head* that you can't play on PC.
The choice is a no-brainer for serious gamers. Casuals, dunno, go play whatever I guess.
-
Nobody here cares about the "PC MASTER RACE" argument.
-
I do think Microsoft is doing a good job bluring the line between console and PC. They are focused on Xbox and gaming everywhere which is a really good customer focused strategy -- the platform is just a means to play the game you want to play. But there is just something so nice about consoles and their living room experience and convenience which is why I only use them. My son however likes his PC and it's great that we can game together even though we are on different platforms.

By the same logic, why do you drive a car when you can fly to all the same places on a plane? Driving is seriously peasant style. The choice is a no-brainer for serious travellers. Douchey attitude much?

I’ve been a PC gamer since the days of MS-DOS and Windows 3.1. I have an RTX 3080 Ti rig and an enormous library of PC games accumulated over decades. I am far more experienced as a PC gamer than a console gamer. I come from the era of huge LAN parties predating the internet, which is the last time I genuinely had fun on PC.
Fact is I don’t like PC gaming as much as console gaming. PC comes with all sorts of baggage, like the upgrade circlejerk, hardware compatibility, driver conflicts, hackers, cheats, pirates, viruses and the operating system itself. The infamous blue screen of death still happens to this day.
The final straw for me was spending $3K on a quad-GPU rig in 2007 that couldn’t run Oblivion at 1080p. I dropped PC for macOS and bought a PS3 for gaming. The only reason I have a PC now is for OBS and NVENC encoding. I don’t play games on it at all despite it being the most capable gaming system in the house.
The last thing I am is a console peasant, it’s just easier to play on console to avoid all of the hassle. The controls are simpler. I can buy multiple consoles and one game to share & play with my kids. I know that as soon as I start a game that it’ll work exactly as designed. And I can easily transfer 4 decades of m/kb experience to console gaming via XIM, which works better on Xbox and is reason enough on its own to buy one.
PS5 hardware is lacking compared to Series X. Most games are cross-platform and perform better on Series X. The only reason I have a PS5 at all is for their shrinking library of exclusives, almost all of which are heading to PC too. Go ahead and name those 30 PS5 exclusives, you’ll find that more challenging than you think.
There are exactly 3 current PS5 games I would buy (Ratchet & Clank, Deathloop (also on PC) and Returnal), but not at the ridiculous asking price of next-gen games. Nor while Sony refuses to enable 1440p, which they can do in a simple patch as it’s the native resolution used for 4K upscaling on PS5.
Not to mention the incredible value of Game Pass Ultimate, which I can use on Xbox and PC. I haven’t bought a single game on either platform for years but have a constant stream of new titles to play. PS+ is paltry by comparison.
I play against and consistently beat PC players in Destiny 2 via crossplay at a buttery smooth 1440p 120Hz, which is as good as I can expect from my 3080 Ti on PC. D2 on PS5 plays like diarrhoea by comparison at a pathetic 1080p for Crucible. I also play D2 with my son, which is much cheaper and easier to do on my Series X and his Series S. I have 4 kids, I’m not buying a gaming PC for all of them.
Long story short - why buy an Xbox? Because it offers a similar gaming experience to PC at a fraction of the cost and with greater ease of use. Just because PC has the most capable hardware (if you’re willing to pay up to $5000 for a high-end rig) doesn’t mean it offers the best value for my family of six, nor the best user experience, which is all I care about. Consoles provide that, Xbox does it better this generation and Series X performance at 1440p is only marginally lower than my 3080 Ti.
So take your teaspoon-deep gaming horizons and snobby attitude and exit stage left - accept that there are people who play Xbox for the exact opposite reason you play on PC and it has nothing to do with being a “console peasant”. I come from the dawn of the PC master race, I own a high-end PC and play on console by choice #dealwithit

I am on PS5. The two reasons I did not opt for Xbox were low XBOX player count in my region (PS dominates here) and the forced crossplay with PC in some games.
I really wish this was not the case since I feel XBOX is a much superior experience compared to PS5.
-
Thanks for showing the setup antithesis, you can dismantle it now and send it to me as we agreed on :P ;) ;)

PS dominates here too, but things will swing around this gen back towards Microsoft.
Cross-play is enabled by default, but can be disabled and matchmaking is much slower as a result. I don’t care if I’m in lobbies with controller or m/kb players, so I leave it enabled for the lower wait times between games.

It’s almost at the end-game. I slotted the Nvidia Shield in next to the Mac Mini for 4K Netflix and need to hook up a 3.5mm audio switch from the 43” to the GoXLR. I also need to swap the PS5 face plates and hang it from the end of the shelving unit, then the dishes are done :)

1440p on PS5 is big news, thanks for the link. Let’s hope it materialises.
VRR may be more important on PS5 than XSX based on current cross-platform performance, so again, that’s big news.
I may finally have a reason to turn the PS5 on.

Tru dat homedog.
I made one for the boy from discarded parts from my PC upgrade. He prefers console, but it’s a decent 1080p rig. My oldest daughter inherited my 2014 iMac which runs The Sims 4 in Parallels better than console. The other two girls are more into Switch and iPad, so I dodged a couple of bullets.
I like to compartmentalise gaming and productivity so there’s less temptation to procrastinate. Console and mobile gaming is much cheaper & easier, while the computers will mostly be used for schoolwork. That keeps the overall hardware costs well down.

Wow, you weren't kidding. That is a crazy difference.
I just really don't want to buy all the DLC again since it's all on my PS account lol

What monitor are you using for the Xbox?

Dell S2721DGF 27”. There are probably better options now, but it’s crispy for console gaming and supports VRR. The one thing it doesn’t have that I would like is a crosshair.

That one is on my list to consider.. Another is the MSI MAG274QRF-QD. Being a Gsync monitor, it has a console mode. I haven't been able to confirm whether or not vrr will work with the XSX.

According to rtings.com the MAG274QRF-QD supports FreeSync over HDMI so it should work on Xbox. But it has HDMI 2.0 ports so VRR probably won't work on PlayStation 5 though due to HDMI Forum VRR requiring HDMI 2.1 ports.
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/msi/optix-mag274qrf-qd
-
HDMI 2.0 isn't necessarily needed for VRR considering the HDMI protocol/group whatever they called themselves basically messed with the requirements/naming scheme.
https://www.pcgamer.com/hdmi-20-cables-can-be-labelled-as-hdmi-21-with-no-enhancements/
Who knows when/if PS5 will support VRR and if it will work with other monitors/tv's. The current "rumor" is that obviously Sony wants to market VRR with their TV's so could be detrimental to other units.
-
HDMI Forum VRR requires HDMI 2.1 ports. FreeSync VRR and Gsync VRR 'can sometimes' work over HDMI 2.0 ports.
The Dell S2721DGF and MSI MAG274QRF-QD support FreeSync VRR over HDMI and Display ports. Gsync VRR only works over the Display port with these monitors, and neither monitor supports HDMI Forum VRR which requires HDMI 2.1 ports.
So far Sony has only announced support for HDMI Forum VRR on the PlayStation 5. They've made no mention of supporting FreeSync VRR.
I made a post here explaining the 3 different types of VRR.
https://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=98641.msg865550#msg865550
You're right about some HDMI 2.1 monitors and TVs not supporting HDMI 2.1 features, despite having a HDMI 2.1 sticker on the box. Which is why review sites like rtings.com are invaluable. Although I noticed they only list HDMI Forum VRR support for TVs, but not for monitors. But if a monitor doesn't have HDMI 2.1 ports then it's guaranteed not to support HDMI Forum VRR anyway.
-
Given PS5 uses AMD chips, I’d expect FreeSync VRR to be the simplest solution. But Sony wants to flog Bravia TVs, so they’ll likely push for the path of most resistance.

I'll be incredibly pissed if VRR doesn't work on my LG CX and only works on Sony products, which their verbiage every time they mention VRR seems to be slightly implying.
-
Sony's official statement on VRR:
"Does PS5 support VRR?
PS5 hardware supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) through HDMI 2.1. After a future system software update, PS5 owners will be able to use the VRR feature of compatible TVs when playing games that support VRR."
https://blog.playstation.com/2020/11/09/ps5-the-ultimate-faq/#addtlinfo
You're golden, the LG CX has HDMI 2.1 ports and supports HDMI Forum VRR.
Nice TV! You can't beat OLED sub 1ms pixel response times for blur free gaming. I'm jelly.

Thanks for sharing the source regarding VRR. Jesus, that was back in November 2020 and I was actually thinking this was a recent thing. Crossing my fingers but the realist in me just sees Sony messing this up somehow lol

Finally, Hori has gotten the license for a PS5 3rd party controller:

Thanks. It'll likely be using the same security method as DS5 or may be locked to fighting games, but we will check it out when it's released.

The authorization that HORI has obtained must have a decryption chip. Unless XIM APEX also installs a decryption chip, it is impossible.

Maybe Sony will only whitelist it for fighting games. It has a switch on back labeled PS5, PS4, and PC. Plus it has no right analog stick making it not very useful outside of fighting games.
It also has a padlock switch. I wonder what that is for.

Oh nice there is already some discussion going on in regard to the new Hori controller. The back switches are indeed interesting.
Looking forward to the results when Obsiv tested the controller. Though id be surprised if it works in all PS5 games or uses a solution other than the speciality controller approach.
Does anyone know when the controller will be out?

So what is the meta right now?
Apex legends PS5 port is coming out very soon so I'm worried.

you can order the beloader and then get a ethernet hub and put the lan firmwaren om the beloader.
this combination works solid no disconnects. only think you can only put the xim on max 500 hz but your mouse can be 1000hz.
played the compleet week with this setup without any disconnects or lagg.
I will use this solution until there is a bether one.

That just seems like it's getting into the stupid amount of wires at that point adding yet another hub.

Beloader + Ethernet adapter is the meta right now, best and most reponsive mouse movements you can get with any Remote Play solution at the moment.
-
With the beloader in lan firmware the lag is gone and the disconnects of the remote play too. Only thing from time to time i get purple flashing of my xim and i can control nothing. That was with a polling rare of 250 in xim and 500 in my mice. Than i have to restart everything.

Hey Obsiv, could this new HORI controller provide a viable solution?

We are watching out for it, but realistically it's unlikely to help. We will check it out though.

Yes you can continue to play the PS4 version on the PS5 too.

the amount of wires is realy nothing. the hub is not that big with not that big wire on it

More the fact for me I play from a couch and not a desk so it's another wire that will be coming from the TV.

Yea at this point i think xim devs needs to bring ps5 st profiles we have so many dif ways to use xim on ps5 and ps5 games remote play beloader etc we need support also
There is exactly one way to play DualSense-locked games on PS5 - Sony’s Remote Play protocol.
I don't agree with that and find it unacceptable.. People bought the Apex, they deserve support. Not some excuse that "we cannot guarantee predictable results so we won't bother"..
So do PS5 STs based on "wired connections via gigabit router and ethernet connections and remote play". No "guarantee" needed.
That would work the same for the 3rd party Pi ethernet solution as well. It's basically the same thing..
The code will never be cracked for the PS5. But remote play solution appears to WORK perfectly fine...
In fact it's not much different than to think of it as an "added step".
I find it wholly unreasonable to just dump the support like that. A solution exist and it's NOT based on "Beloader". It's based on common routers with gigabit ethernet connections and Sony's own remote play app.
All the XIM team has to do is explain that THAT is the one way it works, but not guaranteed, but here is the PS5 ST set up.
Are you saying that games going forward with ONLY PS5 dualsense there will be no profiles at all. Can't rely on some PS4 ST profile can you.. The SOLUTION IS THERE..
Also the comment on "there is always Xbox".. O really. Do they have Sony exclusive games?
I don't even have a PS5 at the moment. But if this remote play actually works. But XIM company will not bring out any PS5 STs in the future and hence make that solution NOT work either, because no ST to load at all. Well let's just say that would be bad, real bad.
No one is expecting flawless performance in the ST because of the workarounds. But one could except to be able to load an ST at all on the PS5 with Xim. It works via remote play..
So no STs for Forbidden West or God of War 2 or any future Sony exclusives.. Is that what XIM customers can expect even though they COULD play it via remote play solution.

This is extremely frustrating to read..
Since when can you play Sony Exclusives on Xbox. The only thing you refer to here is 3rd party online MP games.
XIM is used for single player exclusive games as well. In fact Both my Xim4 and Xim Apex purchases was for PS exclusives. NOT online MP games..
So don't give me that BS about "Just buy and Xbox"..
Also Xbox is not "killing PS" this time. In what way? Sales? Games?
Clearly it has been established that playing PS5 games works using remote play. if that is "complicated" for some people to set up. Well so is turning on a computer for some..
A rather stupid excuse for not to support a product people PAID for. I know it's not a direct solution. But seriously it's proven to work.
Only a disclaimer is needed that given the PS5 situation Xim only works via remote play solution and here's how to get best use out of it.
Make PS5 STs and people would KNOW that it won't be as good or perfect as the XIM for Xbox. But at least people can actually LOAD AN ST and play the game..
In 1-2 years there will be no PS4 versions at all. Just straight up PS5 versions requiring Dual-sense.
But if that works via Remote play. Then people on PS5 playing single player exclusives and yes even 3rd party online MP.
The person making the ST can just have a standard set via the remote play and wired connections for minimal input lag.
You clearly don't care because you're sold on Xbox and hence don't care about all the other people on PS5..
See I could understand if there was NO way at all to even play. But there is one, remote play.. But an ST would be needed to be loaded on the XIM..
I think users would understand that because of the situation they cannot possibly expect perfect STs as good as for Xbox because of said extra step. Heck Sony might even make it so it doesn't work via Remote play in the future as well.
But the point here is as long as there is a way. Support should be shown by XIM company..
It's seemingly just an extra added layer between the XIM and the console via Remote play and wired connection.
Also. Good luck having a XIM company at all relying on Xbox when it has less sales and all games come to PC ANYWAY...
I literally only use the Series X right now because I couldn't find a high end GPU on PC, heck a person could get away with just a 3060 level and play fine as on Series X..
All Xbox games come out to PC and the reason XIM existed in the first place was the exclusives on Xbox and PS consoles.
That is going away and even gone on Xbox. So no need for XIM at all for Xbox games or 3rd party..
I guess the only thing in argument would be "Xbox is cheaper".
That's my counter argument.
-
I agree, Remote Play should and likely will form the basis of PS5 support from XIM. However, not everyone has a PC or Mac and Beloader or Chiaki ARE complicated to setup and use. XIM wants a universal solution that makes PS5 support easy for everyone.
XIM won’t support PS5 if that solution requires a third-party device. It’ll be interesting to see what happens this year with Titan Two’s solution, Hori third-party controller, a cashed-up Beloader cracking group working on DualSense encryption etc.
Until then, most of us use XIM to play platform-agnostic games. For everything except PS5 exclusives, Xbox is the simplest solution. And for PS5 exclusives, almost all of them are single-player games with no time constraints on the playerbase. If we’re prepared to wait, support will come…there’s not much else we can do other than advocate for Remote Play as the basis for XIM support on PS5.
Also, those same PS5 exclusives are going be on PC too a year or two after release, so the whole PC Master Race argument against buying an Xbox also applies to PS5. Assuming everyone wants or owns a PC for gaming is folly - we know hundreds of millions buy gaming consoles, so your argument holds no water.
Sony’s global value dropped $20 billion on the announcement that MS bought Activision and that wouldn’t happen if MS wasn’t committed to Xbox…it’s not going anywhere just because CoD can also be played on PC.
XIM wasn’t created to support PS games, the X in XIM stands for Xbox. I’ve been around long enough to remember using XIM 3 with a 360 controller adapter and Xbox STs to play PS3 games. That said, XIM has no intention of abandoning PlayStation and are continuing to work on a solution for PS5.
-
When or if a viable solution to PS5 matches the quality the Xim Team strives for then it’ll likely happen. Xim Apex etc. aren’t marketed for PS5 . That being said, have been using remote/beloader for official non-st games just fine =P
-
For everyone complaining about xim and Ps5, Xim Apex was produced to work on previous-gen consoles and was never advertised as working with the next-gen consoles. We have always heard that there is no guarantee that it will work even when the Dualshock was a thing. That being said, Xim works flawlessly on Xbox and a remote solution for PS5 has 1ms latency if set up correctly. Bear in mind that the Dualsense encryption is out of everyone's hands in the industry and not just the Xim team.
-
Beloader lan firmware + remote play are solid solutions for xim and ps5. at this point they can look for ps5 st because at this moment it is realy easy to play with xim on ps5 without any lagg
-
XIM won’t rely on third-party hardware for PS5 ST support. Remote Play is solid, but XIM doesn’t want you to have to buy a Beloader to use it, nor do they want to offer STs that rely on a Beloader to work.
What happens if Beloader stops working after a XIM or PS5 update? XIM then has a legal problem on their hands from customers who bought a XIM just to play PS5 games.
Patience grasshopper. If PS5 STs come, it won’t be due to Beloader. It’s more likely to be due to the official PS Remote Play app on PC, Mac & PS4. We know it’s stable and fast, so let’s see what 2022 brings. Also, Hori is releasing the first third-party controller, which might provide the backdoor to PS5 we’ve been waiting for.

Remote play isn't third party hardware. It can be used on Android and PC and Mac.
The funny part is that XIM was made as a translator to use Mouse as input for gamers that are NOT console gamers, but PC gamers used to using a Mouse.
So "having a PC" as third party. It doesn't require a powerful PC.
Besides, once again the XIM team can just say that it's not officially supported yet, but it's a workaround that does work.
The point here is that you can't PLAY any PS5 games at all without an ST. So in a year when PS4 "version" of games are not supported by Sony. There will only be PS5 games, 3rd party games, exclusives, all of the games will be PS5 only.
This is why a PS5 ST for these games needs to be made. It can be done with a disclaimer that you need a PC or Android or Mac and how it works. But it's not fully supported and it's offered just as a means that there is something that can be used..
Do you understand what I am saying here? It's better to offer an ST that isn't perfect but would WORK with remote play so a PS5 user can play at all. Than to have nothing..
Everyone would and will know that PS5 isn't fully supported and that you'd have to use the remote play app..
This has nothing to do with "Beloader" either or Titan etc..
A PC isn't a "3rd party" hardware in that regard or Android phone. If a person plays with a XIM, they are PC gamers to begin with.
The whole point is that PS5 ST exist so people on PS5 can play at ALL...
I doubt the Dualsense encryption will ever be hacked.. Try hacking my AES-256 blowfish password with 500,000 hashes etc etc.. Would take you Billions of years with best Super computer farm..
So even if they use much less advanced encryption for "speed". I doubt it can be hacked.
Also if XIM uses that it could be a legal issue.
The fact that remote play is LITERALLY Sony's own and the solution has 1-10ms input lag and 100% viable is ZERO hinderance of the XIM team to make PS5 STs.. There is no legality issue there. Just abandoning the PS5 crowd when in a year when PS4 no longer exist as an option..
Just have a disclaimer about it.. Just like "Beta firmware" isn't guaranteed to work either, or it wouldn't be BETA. Yet here we are all of us running "Beta" to get it to work even on Xbox..
A PC or Laptop and Router isn't really "3rd party" hardware. "Beloader" is however.
To even further my point. XIM is already reliant on "3rd party hardware" in the regard you need an Android or Apple phone to run the Manager and need otherwise a PC at least for first setup with XIM, or it used to be the case to load new firmware..
So if you need those two things and Remote play LITERALLY work through those two things. It's not "relying on 3rd party hardware".. As you say...
Again I can see what you mean with Beloader. But PC/ Android is not the same thing.
-
Beloader is third-party hardware. So is a Mac, PC or PS4, which not everyone has unlimited access to, especially if one is required while gaming with a XIM.
Android and iOS have been investigated but wireless is too laggy to be reliable. Android can be connected via an Ethernet adapter, but iOS can’t, so that rules out mobile devices. Raspberry Pi is looking promising, but again, it’s third-party hardware.
XIM doesn’t want us to be forced to buy additional third-party equipment to use a XIM on PS5, it really is that simple. Many of us don’t own a PC, Android phone, Pi, PS4 or Beloader. That creates inequity and complexity…that’s not the way XIM wants to support PS5.
PS5 will be supported, it just takes time for an appropriate solution to emerge. Don't expect XIM to jump into bed and bundle its products with the first thing to come along that remotely resembles a viable, affordable solution. That's what Beloader is and what they wanted, but XIM doesn't believe their product is up to XIM's standards.
Watch this space - XIM will almost certainly have PS5 support in 2022. We've gutted it out for 15 months, a few more months won't hurt.

I sure hope you are right. But how can you be so certain? There aren't even real 3rd party controllers right? It's as if Sony has really locked down the source code for the new controller
-
I wouldn't say the device is NOT useless, it does have teething problems yes I admit that. But the latest firmware 20211220.1513 using Xim set to 250hz has been working fine for me now. Played about 4 hours last night no disconnects and no Xim flashing purple.
I am using Razer Keyboard and G502 mouse all wired.
I am happy with the product now.
On the xim app 250hz but what about your mouse ? 250 / 500hz ?
-
Beloader works perfect now for me with the latest firmware together woth APEX and PS5 controller. I have external powee supply on the XIM USB Hub and set polling rate for APEX to 1000 Hz. Everything fine, no purple lights and no disconnects.
1000hz? Max is 250 with Beloader no?
-
Could be 250Hz for Beloader, but it also works with 1000Hz on the Apex.
-
I don't dare ask, but is there any news about native support yet? :(
-
It's ok to ask. :) No, no news to report on that front.

I have seen reports from users of GIMX that apparently the combination of DriveHub and Hori Mini Wired Controller allows them to use whatever steering wheel they want on PS5 games (PS5 version).
Anyone owning a DriveHub and Hori Mini Wired Controller that can test?

Most PS5 racing games support speciality controllers, it seems like the people in this topic use a Hori Mini (= a speciality controller) together with this drivehub to make their otherwise not-compatible racing controllers compatible.
The XIM also has this speciality controller support, but from the currently popular shooter only D2 still supports those. Unless i am wrong and they use a different solution then this sadly wouldnt help :(.
-
Thanks Od1n, if I understood your reply correctly, this "solution" would be limited to racing games then?

I assume so, at least thats what i read out of the last two pages of that topic :/.

I am using Remote play with lan with Ps5 games. I was thinking of buying beloader , but will i see the difference ? . Doest it worth it ? They dont have software for mac ?

The official PS Remote Play app operates at 20 to 80Hz. Beloader runs at 250Hz wireless and 1000Hz wired. If you want the fastest response time, Beloader is the best option, but you may lose some DualSense controller functionality like touchpad actions. They can be restored by using a controller connected to Titan Two.

I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.
Could you link the network adapter I'm going to need to wire my Beloader? Or give the name I can look at to find it to get it in the US

I use this one - https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B00M7MYFAU/. It's available on Amazon US.

PROBLEME DE DECONNEXION XIM APEX + BELOADER PRO SUR PS5
Bonjour,
Cordialement
