BFV ST with the same deadzone setting works perfect in beta, but it's a different story in official release. HIP is still good, but ADS feels off. The acceleration seems can not be turned off. Really wired, may be some bugs with the in game setting.

For me works:

BFV ST
Sync Off

In Game:

Central Deadzone 13
Axial Deadzone 0

Left/Right Target Acceleration 0
Vertical Aim Ratio 100
Vertical Zoom Ratio 100

Most improtant AIM Assist both sliders 0.
Something is wrong with the aa behavior.

Hi mate, any special options in the Manger itself? or just in Game change as you write

3200 DPI Off
1000hz
SAB Off
Smoothing 1
X/Y rate 1.20

SAB off because AA off.I would definitely set the first slider for aa to zero. You can try the second, for me it is nothing in this state

I was hoping that itll be better since u can turn off aiming acceleration on the main game now.
Well i guess we have to wait until a official ST comes out.
Havent tried it yet, couldnt change my region for some reason to new zealand.

If someone has a decent ST which works at least a bit let us know.
Because no ST worked good on the beta

When Shooting in ADS you have to massively pull down the mouse, its nearly impossible to kill someone at long range anyone noticed same problem? Also the hip turn speed is slow... I'm using the settings from dodge

I have a hard time getting this game to play well on the BF5 ST. Not only is the aim weird, but theres something funky with the shooting mechanics. A quick tap of LMB fires 5-6 round bursts instead of just one bullet with the M5A3. I've tried fiddling with the trigger deadzones and it helps but its not perfect.

Maybe things will feel better today on the american servers. Playing on NZ was a bad experience.

Yes all the STs does not really work well.
I spend over 12 hours trying to find decent settings, I gave up at the end.

I quitted the game and wanted to wait 1 week for the proper Game release and another 2 weeks for a ST. The STs I have used are not to bad, the velocity and strange accelerations made it unplayable.

I turned on the Game one more time and experimented and found a super simple Ballistic Curve which totally eliminates the velocity jumps and strange accelerations.

Now this made the game really playable and feels very very good.
Precise aiming, no jumps, no acceleration.

I'm going to test these settings now for the next few hours, if they are good I can post the ST and Ingame settings here.

Have a good day.

BFV seup works pretty nice.

Having reallly bad time with vehicles though. Anything apart from Jeep, hover and AA truck feels really bad.

Tank driving is super wierd on KB and all the aerial vehicles are basically uncontrollable.

Anyone got any tips/in game settings how to fix that?

Thanks!

Sorry for my late response, I had the chance to test the ballistic curve more in detail. I came to the conclusion that it is good but had a very big downside. The turn speed was capped really much, which is a big no go.

Currently, I am using the settings below, and I am very happy so far.

Hardware settings

Mouse: 250HZ, 3200DPI
XIM: 250HZ

Im pretty sure any Polling Rate would work.

XIM Apex settings

ST: Battlefield 1

HIP:
Sens: 22
Sync: OFF
Smooth: 3
SAB: 75
remaining: default

ADS:
Sens: 14
Sync: OFF
Delay: 300ms
Smooth: 3
X/Y: 1.65 (user preference, only for recoil control)
remaining: default

Auxiliary:
For the assignment of weapon attachments, I have created an auxiliary.
I use my mouse forward key (hold) to access the menu, which is (LB/L1).

Weapon Attachments (Auxiliary):
Activation Key: Mouse Forward Key
Delay: 50ms
Sens: 0
Disable all key assignments also movement keys (WASD)

assign these keyboard buttons to those controller buttons:
A/Cross Button = S
B/Circle Button = D
X/Square Button = A
Y/Triangle Button = W

Now I can hold the "Mouse Forward Key" and use WASD buttons for the attachments.
Example, I can press W for the sights, S for the grips, D for the magazines and A for the muzzles/barrels.

Battlefield 2042 in-game settings

Soldier Sens: 100
FoV: I use personally 65 (User preference)
Aim Assist: 50 (I would leave this as 50, dont go above!)
Aim Assist Zoom: 5
Soldier Zoom Sens: 100
Acceleration: 0
Vertical and Vertical Zoom: 100 and 100
Uniform Aiming: on (important)
Coeff: 133
1,00 - 10,00x: 100

Right Stick:
Central: 22
Axial: 15
Maximum: 100

Own feedback
I can get easy kills with any passenger minigun on a vehicle, I can stay on target easy as well with any gun.
Long-range kills are harder, because we are missing just a tiny bit of precision (the real Battlefield 2042 ST will eliminate this problem) and the lack of damage at the ranges after 50m (TTK is way too low on longer ranges on any gun beside snipers).

Have fun playing and have a good day :)

I don't like to run while doing this, what you can do is. Set the sens as your hip sens and set the button you are holding as your moving forward key :)

its weird, my weapon pulls up very strong and I have to pull down very strong to get the AIM straight with my mouse, its nearly impossible to shoot someone. When I use the Controller its much more easier to control the AIM. Anyone noticed the same problem? I tried BFV and the BF1 ST. The movement without shooting is OK, but while shooting in ADS is horrible and not playable.

The battlefront 2 ST is the best I've tried so far.
But it is still not worth it and it is better to wait for the official ST. Server performance, bloom, sound, spawn, balance .... so many things still go wrong in the game, even with a decent ST I wouldn't have any fun.

If the sight when not aiming is working properly, you may want to disable the Xim's ADS screen and adjust the aiming sensitivity from the in-game settings.
I'm not playing BF but it might work

Is it just me or is the attack heli literally uncontrollable? Its as if the yaw function doesnt work at all, or is extremmely slow, to turn you need to roll onto the side and pitch up, its just terrible. Not sure what they are thinking...

Mouse: 250HZ, 3200DPI
XIM: 250HZ

Im pretty sure any Polling Rate would work.

XIM Apex settings

ST: Battlefield 1

HIP:
Sens: 22
Sync: OFF
Smooth: 3
SAB: 75
remaining: default

ADS:
Sens: 14
Sync: OFF
Delay: 300ms
Smooth: 3
X/Y: 1.65 (user preference, only for recoil control)
remaining: default

Auxiliary:
For the assignment of weapon attachments, I have created an auxiliary.
I use my mouse forward key (hold) to access the menu, which is (LB/L1).

Weapon Attachments (Auxiliary):
Activation Key: Mouse Forward Key
Delay: 50ms
Sens: 0
Disable all key assignments also movement keys (WASD)

assign these keyboard buttons to those controller buttons:
A/Cross Button = S
B/Circle Button = D
X/Square Button = A
Y/Triangle Button = W

Now I can hold the "Mouse Forward Key" and use WASD buttons for the attachments.
Example, I can press W for the sights, S for the grips, D for the magazines and A for the muzzles/barrels.

Battlefield 2042 in-game settings

Soldier Sens: 100
FoV: I use personally 65 (User preference)
Aim Assist: 50 (I would leave this as 50, dont go above!)
Aim Assist Zoom: 5
Soldier Zoom Sens: 100
Acceleration: 0
Vertical and Vertical Zoom: 100 and 100
Uniform Aiming: on (important)
Coeff: 133
1,00 - 10,00x: 100

Right Stick:
Central: 22
Axial: 15
Maximum: 100

Own feedback
I can get easy kills with any passenger minigun on a vehicle, I can stay on target easy as well with any gun.
Long-range kills are harder, because we are missing just a tiny bit of precision (the real Battlefield 2042 ST will eliminate this problem) and the lack of damage at the ranges after 50m (TTK is way too low on longer ranges on any gun beside snipers).

Have fun playing and have a good day :)

definititly not working for me, same problem like the other settings or ST, its nearly impossible to kill when your aim pulls up very strong and you have to pull down like crazy to be stable.

This worked great. Thanks!

Sorry for my late response, I had the chance to test the ballistic curve more in detail. I came to the conclusion that it is good but had a very big downside. The turn speed was capped really much, which is a big no go.

The battlefront 2 ST is the best I've tried so far.
But it is still not worth it and it is better to wait for the official ST. Server performance, bloom, sound, spawn, balance .... so many things still go wrong in the game, even with a decent ST I wouldn't have any fun.

This... With the horrid performance of the game (on PC) and all the weird bugs/glitches I'm having a hard time even enjoying playing this game in it's current state... I play for about 20 minutes and I'm ready to put my fist through my monitor which I don't want to do because I don't want to buy another monitor... so I quit the game.

Also sick of losing every gunfight closer than medium range to controller players with aim assist.  With the weird input lag in this game I cannot stay on target for my life.

Ummmmm....so what kind of drugs are you on? Firstly, there is no AA at all for console - it's completely broken,  and secondly, xbox is being forced into cross play against PC with no AA, and no in-game option to turn it off, and every game is 95% made up of pc players that you can't compete against on console. Switching cross-play off on the console settings results in getting zero games in matchmaking, after an hour sitting there.

I don't know what drugs you're on, but I turned off cross play on the xbox and I have no problem joining a game in seconds.

but definitely does not use fully automatic assault rifles. Bloom in this game is abnormal for this weapon class and nothing but luck if you win the gunfight or not. Since yesterday this gadget was taken out of the game, the performance is not that bad anymore, but still far from good. I can play pretty well with my config, but my k / d is shice compared to other bf titles.

Where did I say anything about console?  Maybe you should put down the pipe yourself and actually read a comment before you make ignorant responses.

1. I said controller players, didn't mention anything about a console...  Most of my games have been PC only anyway because of we on PC have the opposite problem where it won't let you join a game 70% of the time unless you turn OFF crossplay in regular game modes...

2. For PC I know 100% aim assist DOES work because I tested it with my XIM.  However I'm trying to play the game native for now.  Also, console version does have AA, it just isn't soft aimbot like console players have been used to with Warzone the past 2 years so they all currently have their knickers in a bunch about it (including you obviously).  Either way I know they are working on tweaking it so settle down you'll have your easy aim sticks back in short time I'm sure.

3. I stated the main reason I'm missing shots is due to the horrible latency and performance of how the game plays

4. The main point of my comment was to point out the ridiculous overall shape the game is in right now which is why I am not enjoying playing it.

I'm on PC using a mouse and had to turn aim assist off because it was causing more vertical recoil for some reason. So it was doing the opposite of what aim assist is supposed to do. =\

Well lucky for you,  you probably don't live in Australia... where there's zero games available on xbox with cross play turned off... the lack of a server select also prevents anyone from here to join an overseas server!

Hello Guys,

as the game is playable already today by changing ur region to new zealand i would like to know if ppl tried out different STs yet ? i tried BF4 BF1 BF5 Star wars bf 2 and 1 and everyone was not really good.

cheers
For PS4:

Set the in-game Aiming Acceleration setting to 100, Axial Deadzones to 0, Center Deadzone to 13 (default), enable Uniform Soldier Aiming (coef. 178) and try this with the Generic Alpha ST:

That should give you approximate 1:1 behaviour.

You can adjust sensitivities or DPI to your liking, but do not modify the ballistic curves. If it feels unresponsive/jittery, you can try increasing/decreasing the very first point of the ballistic curves.

You can adjust your sensitivities and DPI to your preference as they're just constant multipliers to the movement speed and won't influence the linearity.

Measured and tested on PS4.

Are you on Xbox? It won't work if the response curve is different than on PS4.

@Dodge : Just create new profile. Search for "generic" a set of generic profiles should appear, alpha, beta etc. It's blank profiles for games not supported.

I am on Xbox. One thing I did incorporate from your setup to mine is 100 aim acceleration. For some strange reason this feels better than 0.

I hope the official ST can sort out this mess of a game.

I'm using BFV ST, yes is not the best a mess, but on this phase knowing the game... memorizing spawns and battleflow is more important IMO. Because you can / and you will develop a depency of a bad ST tracking. Every time when mist4fun delivers bunch of XIMers complaining that official is not as good as temp un supported ST's

Yea I've def done that in the past with other titles.

I'm using the BFV st and I didn't adjust anything settings wise on the xim side. I changed some of the in game menu settings and that's about it. It seems to play pretty good for me, I'm enjoying myself. But I'm sure it's going to be a million times better once the actual BF2042 St releases.

But as you already said, I may get extremely used to my setup now and think the official st isn't as good lol.

Hello Guys,

as the game is playable already today by changing ur region to new zealand i would like to know if ppl tried out different STs yet ? i tried BF4 BF1 BF5 Star wars bf 2 and 1 and everyone was not really good.

cheers
For PS4:

Set the in-game Aiming Acceleration setting to 100, Axial Deadzones to 0, enable Uniform Soldier Aiming (coef. 178) and try this with the Generic Alpha ST:
Code: [Select]
>>> XIM APEX [Battlefield 2042 (temp ~1:1)] START COPY >>>

<<< XIM APEX END COPY <<<
That should give you approximate 1:1 behaviour.

You can adjust sensitivities or DPI to your liking, but do not modify the ballistic curves. If it feels unresponsive/jittery, you can try increasing/decreasing the very first point of the ballistic curves.

perfect best ST I've had for the game so far.
I set the acceleration setting to 0
center deadzone 15
Axial Deadzones to 10

Theres no point in making an ST when  Dice is going to change the look mechanics and
/or aim assist in the next two updates tomorrow or December 7th.

Well I guess by that logic there is no point making any ST for any game ever, as devs are always making changes..

Thanks for the reply but my query is still very much unanswered.

Aim Assist or aim Assist updates from the devs won't change the St behavior. STs are trained with Aim Assist off.

My only real problem is how to fly the choppers.
I can't use the mouse to get the chopper to pitch up and down. Super slow.
I know you can flip controller layout etc, but that's not natural. Want to freelook and aim with mouse (so to speak) with the pitch and roll or yaw.

bind a key to pitch up and down. You can use turn assist or bind a key to the right stick. Its what the PC guys do.

Man I really loving it how smooth Titan Two and XIM Apex run via Remote Play.

I'm using:
ST: Battlefield V - PS4
XIM Apex Settings: Sync Default/500Hz rr - 13 HIP - 5.5 ADS
Mouse: 4000 DPI, 500Hz pr.

Titan Two is set to PS4 protocol - default polling rate.

Setup:
Titan Two Input A is connected XIM Set (DS4 V2, Mouse, Keyboard on Hub)
Titan Two Input B: Numeric keypad to enable mods.
Titan Two to PC.
PC uses Official Remote Play App.

Audio:
Mayflower ARC to PS5.
Change Mic from Remote Play device to Mayflower ARC Mic.

About Titan Two, I'm currently using a script I wrote that offers very effective antirecoil removal, using my code for XIM, also has easy slide, auto spot enemies while shooting at them and sniper hold breath.

Battlefront 2 ST gave me some random drifiting issues.

No disconnections, everything works fine.

I guess I am  8) Its not really free software though, its a service partnered with the hardware you "buy". I just felt like the ST would have came faster and I'm keen to play on a usable ST. Please dont say use BFV, I have been, the ADS is garbage and the vehicles are uncontrollable  :(

All that, unproductive... and just keep in mind you are using a mouse and keyboard on a game that doesn't supports it... if I was small minded and judgy I will say: that's very hypocrite.

But I'm not, I acknowledge XIM gives the option to play a game with our favorite input device in some extent, is convienant, quality of life.

What I did on that script is a step further, more comfortable gaming experience... with the slider is more effective, on PC we have a keybind for each, things you can recreate with scripts, also on Anti-recoil it helps to compensate a caveat with XIM Translation that it is recoil control which analog sticks are easier to handle. Same token I just wrote a one button 180į turn to help compensate turn limit. In the works, writing a code to make flying like on Foot controllers, auto yaw for turning, etc to be able to use keyboard and mouse, instead of the controller which I use for flying do very well but, is a hindrance to pick it up and put it down every time.

Is not cheating, not writing an aimbot, wallhack on which you need zero skill.

Just making the game more comfortable to play for me, who I can't spent hours to master due my two jobs.

My headphones and my experience have more impact on the way I play than the things that I use.

BTW forgot to share my ingame settings:
Soilder Aim Sensitivity: 100
Zoom Aim Sensitivity: 200
left and right acceleration: 0
Deadzone sticks all default.
Triggers deadzone sensitivity: 5
Uniform Soldier Aim: Enabled.
Zoom all on default (100)
Title: Re: Battlefield 2042 ST
Post by: AMG on 03:29 PM - 11/29/21
BTW game has pretty good countermeasures against input exploiters, meaning rapidfire scripts won't make it shoot faster than the game can, aim assist can't be turn into an aimbot, (like Fortnite back in the day) ... all that is great, not like on CoD where those unfair advantages does work.

And if you see a video "selling that" for Titan or Chronus is a scam 100%.

Oh but it's not . Sorry , was going to ignore this but it seems that people have a very wrong ideea about what's actually cheating and what not. Yes, using Xim to allow you to play with a mouse and keyboard is a quality of life, and to an extend cheating towards the other players that play on controller. However, giving the fact that this game is crossplay i would say its somewhat more justified than other games but make no mistake there are ALOT of people playing on PC with the controller and beasting (see Maxiq on youtube), so in the end its just a matter of preferece.
Pressing a button and having a device do a series of commands for you its well outside the rules, its called automation and its labeled as cheating and bannable. Most games have this rule, a script is a script , its not human control so i would say you're pointing the (hypocritic) finger at the wrong persons.
The is a reason Obsiv didn't allow scripting on XIM in the first place, he said it numerous times.

Sorry for the rant, i myself am well aware of the fact that using the xim is somewhat cheating but getting an advantage over other players by simply pressing one button to do a series of commands for you, that's a no no for me.
 Each to his own tho.

Just thinking of how XIM works: pressing a button on my keyboard which makes my console think I am pressing a button on my controller, without using my controller physically -> automation -> cheat? We can get pretty philosophic about that, but that is not the purpose of this forum.

Lets accept that everybody can use devices or scripts as they desire. T2 and XIM are making gaming easier but not perfect, since you still need some skills/knowledge about the game. If we would think of Hacks/Cheats - these are mainly manipulation the games data in order to get you some advantages (aimhack, wallhack etc). I wanna say, that a recoil control script doesnt make anybody a cheater. And you can't tell me that a bunny hop script will make anybody a cheater too.

Also, AMG's sentence is very clear: He is not saying that its hyprocrite, because he is not small minded and judgy :)

Somehow yes, also XIM somehow because normally you cant have inGame aim-assist when you playing with native M&K or on PC...  via XIM you also can join to "only Gamepad lobbies" that means with XIM you have both, thats why Im saying somehow ;)

EA community manager quotes on Battlefield games:

"Please keep in mind that you should not use any kind of macro which alters your gameplay which includes any programmed macro which automatically uses shortcut after a certain time or action. We don't recommend it as the use is at your own risk."

"Every macro which is scripting any kind of movement or other action can be considered as cheating and we do not recommend to use it."

Recoil control scripts and rapid fire on weapons that its not humanly possible to achieve, is cheating. Stop being ignorant, seriously.

It seems we have a different definition about automation in games. Automation = scripting / macros  and its bannable for obvious reasons.  Again, thats the reason Obsiv didnt allow scripting/macros as an option on Xim.

With the Aim Assist and the Xim, that's such a thing. More like a double-edged sword. Maybe it has advantages, but actually more disadvantages. Unfortunately, many just don't understand. I turn off the AA in BF, not because I want to make it harder for myself, but rather because it bothers me and some would be amazed how well they could play with an Xim without AA. But to turn a weapon with recoil into a laser cannon, to swap skill for a script, what do you want to discuss? As I said above, do it and use scripts, but then be quiet and don't tell any stories

You don't have picked up my second "somehow" the one with gamepad lobbies. If you play with K&M in a "only Gamepad" Lobby, then its the same thing like laser your weapon with a script. Its just how you look at this, scripting with TT2 is the same in my opinon like playing with K&M in a "only Gamepad" lobby, thats how I see this.

I don't think you can compare that. Against controller players who really benefit 100% from aim assist behavior, I either play without AA or live with the disadvantages that it brings for me as a Xim mouse / keyboard player. That brings again a certain balance.

And believe me i follow this forum for a long time. Many have tried to influence the AA behavior somehow in their favor. In the end you only learn to deal with it or to switch it off.

Somehow yes, also XIM somehow because normally you cant have inGame aim-assist when you playing with native M&K or on PC...  via XIM you also can join to "only Gamepad lobbies" that means with XIM you have both, thats why Im saying somehow ;)
If you blame TT2 for this, you have to blame XIM also, because of "somehow" ;)

With the Aim Assist and the Xim, that's such a thing. More like a double-edged sword. Maybe it has advantages, but actually more disadvantages. Unfortunately, many just don't understand. I turn off the AA in BF, not because I want to make it harder for myself, but rather because it bothers me and some would be amazed how well they could play with an Xim without AA. But to turn a weapon with recoil into a laser cannon, to swap skill for a script, what do you want to discuss? As I said above, it only spares others but with the talk that is just not the case.Because that's all it is.

In the end you only learn to deal with it or to switch it off.

you evade my questions ;) I dont talk about AA, I dont know why you always stuck at this point, I'm telling you that you can play with K&M in a only Gamepad lobby, this is in my opinion the same way of "external help" like TT2 with scripting.
Both ways or hardware are helping hands that are not intended or desired by the Game Producers. Please dont answer me with your AA things :)

The explanation why I do not consider this to be an absolute advantage I explained to you and that has to do with the AA. In addition, there are many younger generations of players who can play better with a controller than I can with a mouse and keyboard. So it is a decision which input device I can handle better. Would never complain about being swept away by a better xim player. Likewise, I didn't complain in open lobbies about being powned by PC gamers in Modern Warfare. So what exactly do you want to hear now?

Recoil control and rapid fire easily possible to control also without scripts, which makes your argument invalid.

The quotes above are recommendations but they dont say its forbidden.

http://tos.ea.com/legalapp/webterms/us/en/pc#section6
You are directly violating the terms and its easy bannable

There are bigger games out there that ban people at the first sign of a macro (Fornite, Apex), lots of known streamers had their account banned that way, what makes you think it's permitted in Battlefield .

Recoil control and rapid fire are just a few of the possible scripts you can program  and while recoil control can be achieved ("easily") even tho you use a device that does it for you, rapid fire is not .  Some actions in numerous games are not humanly possible to do as fast, and all that while trying to move and aim.

You want absolution. A justification for using scripts. Do not try to put me in your cheater entourage with the talk that something like this is actually not intended by game developers. I don't need Anti Recoil, Rapidfire Scripts and at the age of 50 I am still able to push more than one button. Now understood. Jesus Christ!

Well. If the game developers says it's cheating. It is. You can think the earth is flat if you want. It's still not a matter of opinion. Fact is fact. Flat earthers is free to believe the earth is flat as much as scripters think they are not cheaters.

Hehehe yes.
ppl have to learn again to agree to disagree ;)
Exactly, that's a 5th dimension, big minded, not judgy thinking.

Wow... what a controversy fired up here, hehehe.

Want to know one of the advantages of speaking more than one language?
- every time you have to speak/read on other language, you have to "switch on" mentally to speak it.

This extra step is very helpful to ignore some comments, specially from people who are speaking on their native language and have very poor writing skills, worse than mine.

My perspective: "everyone can use what ever you want"

On XIM I'm one of the strongers advocate/believer that you reach your full aiming pontential by dropping the clutch of AA, without it, you can snap switch back and forth between targets (have videos demostrating this), people still use it, waste many hours "tweaking it" thats great if it works for them, go ahead.

Now, on the scripting... as you know like controller players thinks wrongly(way wrong) our XIM gives exactly PC aim, you guys have those ideas on scripting.

Because, two routes: a) you are not informed, b) you are an idiot. I assume is a).

First, scripting is not changing game code, is not software , yes the code is the recipe to program a device to sent inputs to other device, but via HARDWARE and all this on the constraint of the game mechanics, we are not doing wall hacks, invencible players, or damage modifiers.

As I said it before, BF2042 has burst fire cap, meaning you can't shoot a weapon faster than a human can do... that's great!, games should be programmed this way, games that doesn't do it... things like rapid fire, jitter or mouse macros are overkill that is a flaw on the game design.

Recoil, as XIM users we don't have the analog input to control recoil, we are loosing it due XIM Mouse translation, we can tweak Y/X to compensate (that's input modifier BTW just like TT2), and anti-recoil script it wont work like a in-game perk, or laser beam, you can feel how can get's in your way by pulling down your aim while shooting, instead of removing magically and transparently recoil,

Again... you don't know, you are not informed, but if without testing and having the facts, and you still think this is cheating, then... you are an option B) strong B).

Pro Gamers don't cheat?.

I wrote a very popular script back in the Fortnite era, I came up with some tweaks like Turbo-Building before Epic added to the game, like placing a piece immediately after another, all things that Epic then adopted, and I actually sent a request to added to the game.

Quality of life, for sure. I was drag to the scripting by a friend who lost 2 fingers on his right hand (veteran) and he want to play with his son and not being a dead weight... I did it, wrote many scripts for him to compensate its limitations, then I publish it, I got many input from players, from the old grandpa happy because now he can play fortnite, to a sweaty competitive pro gamer who asked me add things in secret for tournaments. Sorry for bust your bubble but most of competitive gamers were using a script.

That's why I think competiteve gaming has to be on LAN live event to be valid, of course we can't do it due pandemic, but... yeah, it will be fair if everyone use the same gear, and let the player skill do the work.

So, let's have fun!.

Hey PC gamers said that controller players are op due Aim Assist, Controller players said that XIM users are op due M/KB, XIM Users said that XIM+T2 users are op due improve input modifiers, XIM+T2 said PC players are op due superior hardware and pontentially true hacks and cheating software, and we can chase that tail over and over and over...

They say using mouse and keyboard on unsupported game is cheating, so you are a cheater, because they said.

I'm fine they call me "cheater" I have called worse WAY worse on my PS account, I actually find it funny how someone, stop playing, search for your PS ID an go and write a hateful message with all the clumsy system of console messaging. XD

Funny how you make the Flat earthers reference when your mindset is so two dimensional too.

game developers should focus on gave us official mouse and keyboard support on consoles on their games just like we have it on PC where you can use M/KB or a controller, match-skill lobbies, effective anti-cheat, they should give us the option of crossplay... now we have it after many years fighting for it, but not to please players, is because is PROFITABLE .

Why they are reluctant to give us M/KB support on consoles?, you... you XIM user if you have 2-3 years, let me ask you this... how many controllers have you bought since you got XIM?, one maybe?. gamepads bussines is so profitable guys... wake up, you can see how are getting worse and worse with drift problems. Do you know that a gamepad real cost is about $10?

So, if you anti TT2 bothers don't having this extra help... just get one.

BTW you should be THANK FUL from T2 because its creator was key to help XIM to work with PS5 with the 3rd party controller, and he is working right now on a hardware base device to bring back PS5 support to T2 and XIM, so once ready and you get it... for those option B) guys you will be supporting the evil cheating empire XD. -LOL roll my eyes to the back of my neck  ::)

Im starting to get worried about the delayed release of the ST, thinking there might be some problems with training it or it takes a bit longer to get it perfect , wishing for the latter.

On the side note of the whole scripting/automation discussion. Each to his own i think, but i voiced my opinion based on personal experience. Had the Titan two on release, used it in games like BF1 and CoD but in the end i sold it because it felt like an unfair advantage in many 1vs1 where i should of obviously lost. I remember there was this gun in CoD where you could rapid fire it with almost no speed cap and god, that thing was dirty.
Maybe i sound a bit hypocrite for playing with an Xim in the first place , even tho i have friends that play on controllers (scuffs etc) that beast me. They tried Xim and cant see themselfs getting better than on controller so in the end its just a matter pf preference. I mean we're getting more and more games that are cross platform and matched against PC players. You could argue that AA is an advantage on Xim but i would argue otherwise, most of the time it gets in the way of building muscle memory.
There are games on console that have native M&K support (I think Fortnite is one of them) havent tried it, dunno how it works. Sure anything is possible to do without the aid of a script because it doesnt brake the game mechanics and thats what separate the Pro players from the others and using devices like TT2 or cronus just cut that like shorter.
Imagine rapid firing a weapon set on burst or one bullet mode, at the highest speed possible, while maintaning recoil on a high recoil gun, on a target at high distance , while moving and keeping your aim on the target. Not that easy to do , scripting comes in handy here and thats the reason i sold my TT2, felt too much of an advantage and while fun at first, it does not help you becoming a better player, i would argue its quite the opposite.

It's so strange to me that so many people experience different outcomes with the same setup.

I run remote play from my laptop next to my PS5. Both are hard wired with cat5e ethernet cables to my modem/router directly (it has two extra ethernet cable ports on it already). I use the Sony DS4 V2 as the controller. I am using the BFV ST.

The game plays flawless. Maybe there are steps along the way during setup that people are missing?

Yeah im in the same boat. I've been playing on PC until the ST is made. Just do what i do...SOLO CO-OP mode against BOTs / Breakthrough game mode, you can drop 200 kills per match easy. Generally you can unlock every single attachment for w/e gun you using in 1/2 matches. I have all weapons Mastery 12 and fully upgraded just from doing this lol.

I'm kind of worry now, because when it takes this long, maybe there is a caveat or issue with aim mechanics, like a lopsided deadzone.

i highly doubt that considering how decent the BFV st works. it's not as refined as I would expect and official ST to be, but it's better than battlefront 2 ST.. I think, I'm not sure. please give feedback: but the battlefield V ST is working good for people on Xbox and the Battlefront ST is working good for people on Playstation right? I'm on Xbox. I think BFV st works decent.

Alpha ST with a curve works best, but not perfectly as usual with an official ST.
Or maybe it's just the game, I wouldn't be surprised in the current state.

I agree BFV - ST is the one that works best.

Are you using these from the BFV recommended settings?
Controller Tuning (Left and Right stick)
Center Deadzone: 13%
Axial Deadzone: 0%
Max Input Threshold: 100%

I originally tried the Battlefield V ST, but something was REALLY weird with the aim assist. Shut off AIM assist and Aim snap and every single time i would get close to an enemy my cursor was almost Aim assist locked in. was such a pain in the @#$% to move. So I changed from Default to OFF sync, had the same exact issue. Even if an enemy was behind a wall and i couldnt see em it's almost like my cursor knew and couldnt barely move it. Moved over to Battlefront 2 and went on an absolute TEAR. All aim assist issues were gone.

Thats what I think too. PS5 is just causing too much trouble. The Xbox makes happier day for day now. I would not cry a tear about not having a PS5 right now.

However playing with the BFV xbox one ST didnt make me need another ST at all...

I am on the beta. I just didnít try yet. Is this true of all Xbox games? I went to the beta for series support. If so I would just rename it Xbox. Also I run my games in 120hz when possible. Does this affect the ST from a tech perspective? Just curious. Every thing feels great to me even when using the wrong games st lots of times.

Leave USA switched off and set Aim assist lower or better to off. If you use Universal soldier aim then use the HIP translator in ADS settings. It's not as smooth as BFV and that's not because of the ST. It's because of the game and they still have a lot to do.

A Value between 20 and a maximum of 40 should give enough aa but reduce the bubble significantly.

BF2042 ST feels great in close range. It feels like it struggles alot past 50 meters to break into the AA bubble (This wasn't the case with the BFV ST). Its definitely better than the BFV ST but needs tuning for longer range shots.

Thank you, so much mist4fun, really appreciate your work :D

Played little bit last night. I prefer when HIP and ADS aim sensitivity matches due muscle memory consistency but, in order to work with the go-to instructions, setting up Zoom values is a must.

So I went for the USA ON route, using the same setup from USA ON on BFV, with different zoom sensitivity values and the HIP translator on ADS config; it worked better for me, pretty smooth.
Title: Re: Battlefield 2042 ST
Post by: AMG on 06:25 PM - 12/04/21
I have some spare time to look-into BF2042, aim mechanics con the official ST.

I use my camera auto slider to test mouse 360į's, test aim assist bubbles and all that crazy stuff.

Finally came up with a nice set of settings where aim tracking is spot-on, uniform for HIP and ADS, and Aim Assist has a nice magnetic feeling and easy to let you go for the next target, on PS5.

On XB Series X ST tracking feels better over all.
Title: Re: Battlefield 2042 ST
Post by: Loki76 on 07:17 PM - 12/04/21
I tried the 2042 ST and I don't know what it is, but it's not working at all for me. I can't use "USA" everything gets floaty and "disconnected" in aiming, using Hip translator doesn't help. So using USA is a no go. So using it normal. Well I quickly found out that the aiming for higher zoom scopes and I am talking just 3x like I would use on SVK all of a sudden is extremely low sensitivity.. So every single sight has a different aim sensitivity. That is VERY bad for getting muscle memory and it feels I have to fight hard to get the scope to move yet a normal red dot feels fine..

I've been using BFV ST and tweaked it and it actually feels good, I can use USA (universal soldier aiming) and aiming with any scope feels fine. Much easier to get a universal muscle memory to aiming.

So I don't know what's going on with the game or the 2042 ST, but it feels like using it, I am playing with someone else's settings, if you know what I mean. We all have our preferences. I just can't find a good spot/tweak using it..

So ironically I am sticking to ST of another game. I do so much better with BFV ST. Also the BFV and 2042 ST have the same "requirements" down to even deadzone stick settings. So what is really different?

I am not complaining, it's just this game is really bad on all platforms with aiming. The Aim Assist is totally messed up as well, don't know what they are doing.

I am just happy the BFV ST is viable.

Use what ever works for you.

USA is tricky you have to change settings from XIM in a weird way and from the game, is not just enable an option. Once do it right, is pretty consistent, regardless Zoom type.

No, only Soldier Aim Assist.
High or max zoom snap values have a negative impact on micromovement and long distance shots.
Would set it to 40-50, but AA doesn't work properly anyway, so everything is not very consistent.

Quote
Soldier Aim Assist refers to the slow down when the crosshair moves into an enemy. Increasing this makes your reticle stick to the enemy more, and lowering it makes it weaker. You can choose to adjust this if you want to improve the speed of your aim, or have more flexibility when adjusting your crosshairs to the enemy.

Quote
Soldier Aim Assist Zoom Snap refers to the speed in which your aim moves into an enemy target while using a scope. Adjusting this allows you to move into targets at the right pace, helping you hit mid to long-range shots better.

I would now play with Soldier Aim Assist 0 and zoom snap 40-50

I haven't tested sab settings yet. Of course, this would be an option.
I prefer to turn it off, but you could just test it

The ST works great. I have no issues on XBSX. The game itself sucks though. No cover, non-stop deaths from snipers and helicopters, specialists are poorly voiced and acted. I can't take watching their request revive animations anymore. Feels like clone wars. It is corny.  I am having way more fun in Insurgency Sandstorm. I will return to BF 2042 in a few months time when it's fixed. Firestorm was my favorite battle royale and it does not seem it will ever come back.

Because you have to set the value of every single Zoom, doing 360į drills; I always do it using a robotic slider to be consistent, done it on BFV, I did it for 2042 too.

I won't to share it this time tho.

But I already told you how to do it, so jump into a empty server and start to figure it out. ;)

Yep, that's it. Just remind, try to do the mouse swipes on a steady constant speed for better measurement.

doing the 360į drills, you match the Hip 360 distance by adjusting each individual zoom levels with USA off right?

Thanks for the 2020 st, shooting in tanks in 3rd person mode the cross-hair jumps all over the place.
Does aim assist need to be turned off?
Is there any ingame guide settings that work with this new ST?

- this happens every single release, those who can't wait for the ST gets used to a temporal unoptimized ST then when the optimized goes out, "is not as good"  ::)

I'm glad this is brought up, it's hard to compete with a couple of weeks of muscle memory but I promise the STs are 1:1 with the mechanics.

Thanks for reminding everyone of BF's USA feature and sharing how that works too.

-

About the aim assist comments, using another game's ST changes how acceleration feels so this may help or hurt with AA. If you feel AA is better with another ST you may like adjusting the STs acceleration curve.

every micromovement on any scope feels bad on every st I tried
Ok so the problem with the ST on PS5  is that the mouse doesnt register moves at very slow speeds , try it out. I tested at the same time with the BFV st and the BFV st doesnt have this problem.

Try loading the Xbox ST if you are playing on PS5 and its feels better, doesnt seem to have the problems mentioned above.

Why is the ST so bad on PS ? feels rushed.
Tried the ST on PS5. Feels great. But I cant help but feel the longer distance shots feel as though I'm fighting against the Aim Assist. Weird because the sticky aim assist is very weak in short range.

The STs are built for Xbox and PS4. Performance may not be optimal for players using a PS5 to play either the PS4 or PS5 version of the game. Look mechanics are expected to be unique to individual platforms, it why there's a need for separate support. However the PS4 game look mechanic can be different when played on a PS5. Players using a PS5 to play this game may have a better experience using another ST or using other in-game settings. Testing other right stick deadzone values is a good place to start.

The game is garbage so I barely play. But when I do the BFV ST is decent but micro adjustments are bad. The official 2042 ST is great in close and medium range. But past medium range if the enemy is moving right or left rather than towards you, the aim assist becomes very strong and the ST cant break into the bubble. I tried playing with 0 AA, 50 AA, and 100 AA. At 0 it's really hard to play if you're not used to no AA. At 100 AA its very frustrating to shoot moving enemies at long range. At 50 it's better but not ideal.

Hip is perfect.
ADS close range is perfect.
ADS medium-long is perfect if enemy is stationary or moving towards you.
ADS medium-long is bad if enemy is moving right or left.

Your Sync?

but you've probably tried them all. At the moment I would take sync off with some smoothing, regardless of the dpi. Also play with the poling rate of the apex. Maybe 500 or 250 hz will help you.
This is my first time using SAB in a Battlefield. have the feeling it also improves a bit.
Definitely aim assist to 0 with the apex. Zoom snap has to be tested. With a controller it's exactly the other way around. Most of them then play with aim assist 90-100 and snap 0.

It's just bad and unsatisfactory when compared to other BF titles.
i leave it now until the next patch. Rush mode has bright moments, but even there the design mistakes make you crazy at some point.

Yes this.. literally nothing in this game feels good from the movement to the gunplay.. it's a shameful outrage that Dice released this garbage product.  I can't think of a bigger disappointment I have had in a game I was looking forward to in recent memory than this game.

I have tried to like this game but after about 15 - 20 minutes of play I'm done and ready to play something else, it's just not fun.

Gun play was the one thing I liked on BF1.

It seems they tweak recoil on the last update, my anti-recoil script stop working entirely, went back to the drawing board, came up with a new one...

Is way too OP, I'm not entirely convince of releasing it, neither using it for myself, takes out all the fun of weapon handling.

I'm not trying to make a laser gun, my goal is to replicate what we can do on PC handling recoil using native mouse.

IMO that's the main reason why most XIMers find it gun handling wacky on XIM, because it is... why? is exacerbated due stick translation, unfriendly; take a controller and check how ease is to stay on target with it.

UPDATE
OK spent hours writing that code... so I had to try it: it was n a s t y poor souls, they didn't have a remote chance... yeah, might put into lock box and drop it in the bottom of a lake..

Fellas try and play one round of BFV and see how the overall response to input feels. I'm suspecting there's an issue with 2042 itself (on PS4 and PS5) that is causing very micro almost unnoticeable lag to input that is causing all of us to not be able to develop muscle memory.

It's hard to describe so all I can say is jump into BFV for a minute and see what I mean. It honestly feels like I'm playing on PC on BFV, super smooth. It's like I'm in control of a character in 2042 but I'm the character in BFV because it's so responsive, I know that doesn't make sense lol.

Feels like I have to put effort into aiming in 2042 while in BFV its second nature, so smooth.

I don't get why USA (universal soldier aiming) Is not supported. It's literally designed to help muscle memory whether hip or ADS. To make them more consistent with each other.

This is why for me Using USA in the BFV ST in 2042 I can get a pretty good feel. But I cannot use USA in 2042 ST, it creates huge sensitivity increase in ADS and you can clearly tell it cannot really be tweaked.

I know I have developed some muscle memory to the BFV ST. But that said, it shouldn't be hard to feel the proper 2042 ST being "correct" and easily adjust to it. But I can't I cannot use the USA and not using it. Every single zoom on scope is a different sensitivity so very inconsistent. Trying to sit and adjust each value of zoom 1x,2x,3x--10x and find exact consistent travel would be a pain. I might try it.

I want to use the proper 2042 ST for logical reasons. But the fact I can use USA and have consistent feel and frankly it feels smooth. It has all the same underlying deadzone settings and in game settings as the 2042. Just the USA use is actually "useable" on the BFV.

I guess I will try again..

Use the HIP translator in the ADS settings. Which, by the way, I would also do in BFV.
Title: Re: Battlefield 2042 ST
Post by: Loki76 on 06:47 AM - 12/09/21
I did play around with the settings. Using Hip translator and changed sens to match the hip and the soldier zoom aim to 100 instead of 200..
Set USA coefficient to 178

Works pretty good actually, a little bit getting used to the new settings, but feels pretty fluid. Strangely easier to aim at distance and more overshoot up close because of the higher sens. But that is just a learning curve for muscle memory. So I am sticking to what I set up and I know I will get better as time goes by.

Not sure what is best for Aim assist and snap. I keep snap at pretty low between 5-15 and aim Assist at 40-45.
I find that aim assist help at range, but if set too high causes aim bubble to "break into" at closer range..
I wonder if aim snap can help at closer range with bubble? At 45 or less it's not that hard.
But I definitely find Aim assist seems to be geared towards range in this game.

Anyway. I am on the 2042 ST and with help here find a good setting for me. So that's great.

would now tell you aim assist off and zoom snap to a maximum of 50. What works for me doesn't have to work for you. So it's best to start with the aim assist slider and reduce it in steps of ten until it fits. So long zoom snap to 0. If you have a good value for the first slider then leave it and reduce zoom snap from max in steps of ten until it fits.

do you have time to check the aim mechanics again?
The patch notes say:

Improvements to the consistency of projectile hit registration.

Balancing changes to projectile scatter and recoil

does this affect the ST?

Yes I am getting this as well. Like it will fire the weapon and then stutter and fire again really quick. And sometimes it wont let you tap fire the g57 either. It will completely stop for a second even though I am clicking the mouse quickly.

IF you looked on my previous post you will see I posted an share extensive my settings and even write an entire topic on how to setup USA to work properly with XIM, course you didn't.

I keep wondering why bothering to share it if  some of you guys had that aptitude.

My rules, if you trying to shoot me down from my back, you get a t-bag,
If you don't play the objective and trying to spawn camp, you get a t-bag.

I think you got offended by it, so let me en-light:
a) First kill I did 3 micro corrections and be able to stay on target even though that guy has bunny hopping.
b) my second kill was hip fire, I turn easily still aiming stay on target.
c) I pretty much snipe down a guy far away with the basic assault rifle handle recoil easily and got in and out of the hitbox.

There you go sweet cheeks.

You guys waste too much time on settings like searching for a magic ones...

Just set your game as XIM Team specifies, make sure it you have the 1:1 tracking and practice, memory muscle needs time and embrace the fact that the game has poor aim mechanic for XIM translation.

This craptastic game on PC doesn't even recognize my XB1 controller, so I don't even have the option to use my XIM Apex if I wanted to... I was able to fix this originally by unplugging my Razer Orbweaver after reading about this fix on the EA support forum, but that doesn't even work anymore.  Now the game won't recognize any controller inputs for me at all no matter what I do.  When I did try out the Apex it actually was doing relatively OK with the Battlefront 2 (Xbox) ST, but I found the AA to be so sticky it was hard to track moving targets, so I ended up dialing it down to like 35% in-game just to make it usable.  I think I prefer native anyway, with the exception of the other problem I have which is the game won't allow me to rebind certain mouse buttons and keys.

I read an article this morning about how the player base for BF5 on Steam is about to overtake the player base for this game.  Can't say I'm surprised, but wow that is pathetic.  To say they struck out on this game is the biggest understatement of 2021..

So... the micromovement issue (small mouse movements doesn't register) is an ST issue?

Just tried lowering the deadzone for the right stick (in game) to 0, got a little better but not perfect.

@mist4fun - Is this something that can be fixed retraining the ST?

Which console is being used to play the game? If PS4, is it a PS5 playing the PS4 version?

Is it happening with Hip or ADS. If ADS, please check if it's happening while using iron sights.

Hi mist , I think i know the problem , iv been doing some tests using BF2042 on ps5 using Ps4 version of the game as well as using PS5 with PS5 version of the game.

PS5 > PS4 version of the game the ST feels off on micro movements like the deadzones are out and even if I change deadzones in the game it doesnít help, this was happening for me in HIP and ADS

PS5 > PS5 version of the game ( using Beloader / remote play ) the ST feels amazing , and works very well. Still a little bit of stutter but no where near Ps4 version.

I think the STs from now are are gonna need PS4 Version STs and PS5 version STs.

Also I was using the DS4 controller plugged into the Xim for both these tests. No DS5 controller was connected

Yes that's why. APEX currently supports the PS4 version using a PS4 console.

It is happening on both HIP and ADS - remote play.

If you are having issues with ADS and trigger lag, the fix is simple.

The official BF2042 ST settings for trigger deadzones are:

LT / L2 Deadzone: 0
LT / L2 Max Input Threshold: 100
RT / R2 Deadzone: 0
RT / R2 Max Input Threshold: 100

For me these do not work well and cause a delay in ADS and also delay firing weapons.

Simply use these settings and all is well in the world  ;D

LT / L2 Deadzone: 0
LT / L2 Max Input Threshold: 5
RT / R2 Deadzone: 0
RT / R2 Max Input Threshold: 5

With these deadzone settings the lag/delay is completely gone  8)

I've had a problem since launch with tap firing guns on full auto. It would consistently fire 2-4 bullets instead of one.

It even does it with the controller I have connected to the xim. I'll try this and hopefully it fixes the issue.

Yes that's why. APEX currently supports the PS4 version using a PS4 console.

I see, thanks for the clarification, will there be PS5 support in the future? Considering there is such a difference in PS4 to PS5 STs.

It is happening on both HIP and ADS - remote play.

The PS4 version on a PS5 may still use a separate unsupported look mechanic. This is true for Siege-P4 on a PS5. For optimal support you will need the PS4 version on a PS4. Otherwise you can adjust game settings on a PS5 or use other game configs that may be a better fit than the PS4 config.

Dedicated PS5 support is something that we would really like to do but not supported now because of DS5 encryption. Obsiv is the person to talk with about future support.

Anyone else experiencing a noticeable delay with ADS and also firing weapons?

Yeah I can't tap fire anymore. It's like the gun hesitates or jams when trying to tap fire fast.

Yes I am getting this as well. Like it will fire the weapon and then stutter and fire again really quick. And sometimes it wont let you tap fire the g57 either. It will completely stop for a second even though I am clicking the mouse quickly.

^^^^ this is exactly what I'm experiencing as of late when playing.

hello, does anyone have a problem with image tearing when another key is pressed while playing eg running (shift), aiming (right mouse), etc.? it looks like when the next key is pressed the image goes to 30 fps, if I don't press anything and I just look around, then everything is smooth and fine, like 60fps

Xbox Series X, XIM Apex & Mouse 1000Hz

SOLVED: its caused by turned on second controller

It has a speed cap, well done actually, it's to counter rapid-fire modded controllers/scripts.

It's actually NOT well done at all. It happens on controller too. If it WAS well done it would let you tap as fast as you want but still keep a constant fire rate that they have capped it to. But instead it jitters and jams. Sometimes even fires 2 bullets at once.

I have not noticed anything like that consistently at all. Occasionally things bug out like that a bit but it's like very random lag that happens here or there.

Is there something impacting recoil in the xim's config ?

I mean, sometime, my vector is like a laser and the next fight, even if i tap, i'm shooting bird.

I don't know if it's something about the ST or the game itself ?

Since on ps4 we still have hitreg problem .. saw it ingame and on reddit ..

It sounds like an issue with the button. Try lifting the button gently without breaking it and blow air under the button. If this doesn't help try assigning fire, ads, and ADS page activation to keyboard keys to see if the same thing happens when not using the mouse.

It sounds like you may be playing using a PS5? If so this may be the problem. The PS4 version of the game is supported while using a PS4 console. The game uses a different (unsupported) look mechanic for the PS5 version and for the PS4 version played on PS5. It may help to make adjustments to the config settings, boost is a good place to start. Adjusting the game deadzone setting is where I would look to next. Otherwise using another game's config that is a better fit may be the next step.

FWIW:

The PS4 ST on PS5 (remote play) does not allow for micromovements.
Xbox Series ST on PS5 (remote play) does allow for micromovements, but suffer from "staircase" diagonal movements.

You can get rid of the stairs if you use the Xbox ST in the PS5 version (I do that too) by reducing the dead zone below, currently have 8 in it. Unfortunately, it then becomes a bit spongy.
I slightly adjusted the ballistic curve to counteract the spongy.
With the reduction, I also have the feeling that I can deal better with the target bubble.

Thank god for your post, Xbox ST works way better. How has the PS ST not been fixed??

The PS4 ST supports the PS4 version of the game played on a PS4 and doesn't have these issues. Unfortunately PS5 is not a supported platform at this point so there is nothing to fix. We hope to support the PS5 platform in the future, if or when that happens there will be a PS5 ST.

Looking at recent posts, if micro movement feels better with the Xbox ST then a generic alpha may feel better after being tuned correctly. Generic alpha with a boost of 4200 may be a good start, raising boost if there's still a deadzone. Once that's finished then adjusting YX ratio then the ballistics curve in that order may provide a better experience on PS5.
