I asked about aim assist on youtube but ya answered there. SW BF2 aim assist is horrible so id be interested in seeing gameplay for that if possible.

Product looks great, but I hope someday they add the same feature to a standard PS4 controller to give it similar functionality.

Iím still going to get one tho, since gyro with controller is my preferred way to play.

Iím very excited for a gyro solution that will work on PC and consoles out of the box. I use steam input with DS4 and I think itís great, but I havenít been able to get that on a console until now.

Glad we can finally talk about this. NEXUS has been in development for 3 or 4 years. With next-gen consoles supporting more AAA titles natively, OBsIV felt it was time to offer something for controller users.

I am a die-hard m/kb user and was very sceptical about motion aim as it sucks hard on PS Vita, Wii, Wii U, Switch, Steam controller, DualShock & DualSense etc. NEXUS however is very, very slick by comparison.

I've gone from completely useless with a controller to competent thanks to NEXUS' motion aim. NEXUS works beautifully with Aim Assist, and recoil is dead easy to control by simply tilting the controller forward.

Bad controller users like me are finally going to feel comfortable gaming from the couch. Good controller users are going next-level with this thing in their hands!

All XIM 4 and APEX STs work with NEXUS. The PC STs you've seen pop up lately are designed for NEXUS but also work with APEX and XIM 4.

NEXUS won't completely replace APEX yet for me in online multiplayer games as I'm far more experienced with m/kb, but I can at least compete with controller users with a NEXUS. I've dropped APEX for all single-player gaming as NEXUS is so much easier to setup on the desk or couch and is an absolute blast to use :)

Any possibility to support games like super mega baseball 3 now?

So is PS5 support never going to be an option with the nexus? Or is there a chance it could be added down the line through updates?

Wow CONGRATULATIONS!! OBsIV and all XIM Staff.

It looks pretty slick, can't wait to get my hands on it.  :D

I always want a next level motion controller.

So stoked!

NEXUS is in the same boat as APEX. Obviously XIM Tech wants to support PS5 as soon as possible, but it's contingent on finding a solid & reliable workaround for DualSense-locked games.

I haven't tested NEXUS over Remote Play myself, but I believe OBsIV has and it works.

This controller is truly next level, im confident that the accuracy boost this controller provides can change the whole controller vs mouse debate in the long run. Its just mindblowing how accurate you can be with it and it literally doesnt take any big transition time to get good with it (unlike with controller sticks).

First of all congratulations on the announcement super excited for you guys I can't believe I didn't guess this seeing a old vid of you trying motion stuff years ago.. Looking forward to seeing how the final product preforms. The way the 4 back buttons are positioned how does it feel in terms of pressing as a good click feeling is a must for me. Also might be a dumb thing to ask or add now but ima say it anyway is it possible to add mouse clicks on the L1 R1 instead of conventional methods for faster actuation?

Post by: bigmasta on 01:18 AM - 09/17/21
My Son has a Switch, he plays splatoon 2 nearly every day. I tried the game with Joy-Con and motion control several times, maybe 50 times, yes its a bit easier to play when you compare it with standard gamepads without motion control but its still not the same like K&M... but this was my experience, many others will get used to it faster maybe but its not an option for me right now.
I'll buy it definitly but I am still skeptical. Anyway, thanks to all who was invited in this project...

OBsIV added a configurable hair trigger feature that works at any trigger depth.

Yes, rear buttons are clicky and well-positioned.

A couple of peeps guessed correctly, but we could neither confirm nor deny ;)

BTW, Lithe has been using NEXUS in native m/kb PC games using reWASD. Obviously no aim assist in games without controller support, but PC opens a whole new realm for XIM gaming.

Good to see hair triggers at multiple depths my only input I have on this though is I've used hair triggers before but comfortability was a huge factor and truly disliked and couldn't use the bottom buttons to shoot not because hair triggers were bad but the way I've played for years and I can speak for alot of my friends its simply uncomfortable playing on L2 R2 10+ years haveing played certain ways and I do think this is a factor to consider. That's why if possible even if its a add on for extra at checkout I think being able to provide something extra for controller vets that use the top buttons would be a god send this is just something I've always thought about and not sure if its practical but would be a nice addition having that mouse click feedback and speed on L1 R1 would be amazing again just a discussion on what I think could be a added bonus not needed but to be the ultimate controller it would be a wcomed addition

You're not been forced to do anything lol

Nexus isn't a KB/M adapter, you would still use Apex for that :)

If you prefer using KB/M then just stick with using XIM Apex, it's going to continue to be supported.

Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: antithesis on 02:15 AM - 09/17/21
All controller buttons can be remapped. If swapping R2 and R1, youíll lose a feature or two related to trigger depth and multifunctions, but it is possible.

Keep in mind, NEXUS is a XIM and has all the bells and whistles lacking on a regular controller, so youíll likely find a way to use L2 and R2 to your liking :)

NEXUS can appear as a native Xbox controller on PC. Or you can use the dongle and make it appear as an Xbox One, Series X or DualShock 4 controller, depending on the auth controller connected to it.

No authentication controller needed with Nexus on PC, It shows up as a standard X-Input device (Xbox 360 controller)

Really pleased for the XIM team. Looks like a quality product.

Although it's not for me, as an old school mouse and keyboard player, I can see it selling really well among controller players who want better accuracy, and there's a lot of those!

I'll probably buy one anyway though, 'cos it's XIM, right?  :)

Awesome, team xim! There is no controller I have ever looked at and thought.. wow !

Initial thoughts are always with fatigue and how long one can keep tilting a controller for, but definitely no criticism of any kind of negatives as this obviously opens up alot for people who are unable to use sticks or even a mouse.

My second thoughts are on how good it will be transitioning from infantry, to turrets and then flying those sweet jets in BF 2042  :D Seamless ! Air combat has never sounded so good.

Congrats.

Woke up this morning for work and saw the reveal. I was never originally a m&kb person but I learned years ago just from xim products. I haven't used a controller / couch combo in years for shooters. As a happy, loyal xim customer I'll def buy the nexus. But I suspect I'll still be a primarily apex guy, but I'll def mess around with the nexus.

Very smart of OBsIV to expand his portfolio and tap into a slightly different, younger audience. There's an entire gen of controller only players. Congrats on the reveal.

Now just waiting for info on ordering one.

Once this PS5 issue is resolved I'll use apex & nexus all the time I'm sure. I know it's going to get cracked soon enough.

The funny thing is thatís how kids try to aim when learning to use a controller. I have 4 young kids and all of them had to be taught to hold the controller in their laps instead of waving it in the direction they want to turn.

Motion aim is a very natural way to play. I was not a fan of gyro aim from other devices, but was pleasantly surprised how quickly my aim improved by tilting the NEXUS into the hitbox instead of my typical overshooting the target by a country mile with a thumbstick.

The way the 4 back buttons are positioned how does it feel in terms of pressing as a good click feeling is a must for me.

The back buttons are far better than any other controller out there in my opinion. The placement is way more ergonomic and the click is perfect.

Congratulations ... must have been a lot of hard work getting there.

So we will still have to use ST's for console games ? I'm wondering how the Nexus will be for those games that can't get ST's, (like Saints Row, GTA etc.)
Will the motion sensor work or will we have to use it like an ordinary controller ... ( apart from being able to use curves)
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: SIXRIP7ER on 06:57 AM - 09/17/21
Is there any chance this could perform better then xim apex (m&k), I always struggled with apex when spinning because I always hit turn caps and also had to keep repositioning my mouse to the centre of my mousepad, which distracted me from focusing on targets as I wasted precious time fighting the controls.

I feel like these issues are resolved with the nexus as when you use any controller you can never hit the turn caps and you will never run out of mouse pad space when using the joystick for larger movements and spinning. And you get the benefit of micro aim that m&k has while using the motion tech.

This will be great for open world/sandbox games like GTA/Far Cry/Battlefield, where there's a lot of switching between different vehicles. The thing I'm salivating to test the most, though, is how this would work with racing games.

I'm probably in the same boat here.  I think this is great for controller users, but I'm not one of those, nor will I ever be.  I hate sitting with my hands in close proximity like that on a controller in general as it's super uncomfortable.  Thus I will remain M&K.  Which is somewhat disappointing as this is probably the first XIM product I won't buy.

With that said, I thought one of the main selling points of the XIM (and often used as an argument in the "is it a cheat device") was that it is really for people who want to use "any" input method of their choice, which is quite necessary for disabled folk, which means this device won't be for them, at all.  Of course this won't be an issue as long as APEX continues to be in production and support.

With that said, it's great to see a motion controller that will probably never be topped, so good job OBsIV.  It's definitely a needed device in general.  I would def use it if I used a controller.  The only time I use a controller right now is when I'm using Xbox streaming on my phone (rare), which I doubt this device will work with.

Anyway, I just hope it does not stifle continued improvements on the XIM APEX, specifically on the software front, as I believe there is still room for improvement there.  A lot of features/requests that have been made over time that have gone to the wayside for more important things.

This right here is very unfortunate.  I understand why, but this is a major drawback for something like this, especially a "controller" device.

I'm a very avid gyro gamer, and i play competitive splatoon. This product looks like a dream for me, and ill probably try and get it day 1.

I have a few questions.

What is the polling rate for the Gyro?

Is it possible to use with nintendo switch? (i want to try using this on splatoon 2 without the game's built in gyro to see if the smoothing can be lessened)

Can I disable y axis aiming on the right stick?

Is there a way to implement Jibb Smart's flick stick?

Are there any smoothing/acceleration settings for the gyro?

Is there a way to map a button to turn OFF gyro when held, or INVERT gyro when held?

I am ecstatic. Put me first in line for pre-orders :)

I happily tested beta firmware to allow for Switch Pro gyro on the Apex. I've been a customer of Xim4 and Xim Apex and happily so for years. I would love to get my hands on this as gyro is a more comfortable solution for me for couch gaming than keyboard and mouse!

I would also like to voice my desire for PS5 support. While not many shooters are PS5 locked, down the line I'd like to get one to play the old Uncharted's or TLOU games and have Gyro support there.

Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: chinanago on 11:44 AM - 09/17/21
I'm not good at English, so let me ask you a question for confirmation.
XIM's analog stick emulation technology enables this competitive motion controller to aim with incredible precision, and the manager app can be used to provide personalized stick emulation like a ballistic curve. Is it a feature?

In the case of Xbox: Do I have to use other Apex-like products to circumvent authentication?
Is this controller the same size as the xbox controller?
(I'm Japanese, but I'll check because the Xbox controller can be too big)

It will be longer from here
I have a very weak semicircular canal, and although I like FPS, I play while fighting nausea.
I have no good memories of the motion controller aim
When playing Splatoon 2 or Apex Legends on switch
The motion controller Aim gave me terrible nausea because of the 180 degree turn.
For these motion controller aim, stick is used because the operating range is narrow only by motion.
It is necessary to separate the screen and motion once, position the arm and move it again. I struggled with it.
If turning 180 degrees is an important setting in FPS operation and this cannot be done well
My body rejects and becomes nauseous and attacks me
The trouble here is that if you make the 180 degree turn comfortable, the sensitivity will be high and it will be difficult to aim at the target.
As a countermeasure, I chose mouse input by XIMApex.
Still, during the initial setup of XIM, I continued to fight nausea.
After three days of fighting, I realized for myself how good this XIM emulates an analog stick
(I shouldn't have chosen Apex Legends first,  BFV's operability is very close to that of a PC, so it was easy to set up. :'( )
And I want to see if this product will be my first motion controller that doesn't hit me with nausea.
I have a question there
The mouse can freely control the aim speed to some extent depending on the physical speed and moving distance.
Can this controller do the same?
(Of course, I understand that this is a big factor for individual differences, so I have to test it myself in the end.)

I  haven't used my XIM Apex in a long time nor have I visited the forums in a long time.  But for those that have been around for a while, I've been involved on/off again for several years.

I can't tell you how excited I was to wake up to an email saying there was a new post on the Blog topic.

And when I saw this... I was grinning ear to ear.  This is absolutely brilliant.

Super interested and I'll definitely pick one up.  I wish this worked on PS5 (as most XBox exclusives also work on PC which has M&KB).  But whatevs... i'm a fan of the man and the company.  I'll support it!

Been with Obsiv & Xim pretty since much the beginning. Always wanted to use a controller but can never feel as comfortable as I do with m&k but this looks like the missing link. Iíll be ordering one as soon as possible.

I PC game mostly these days so the ability to use direct without an auth controller is brilliant. 👍🏻

Just a little sneak peak on Aim Lab on how great XIM NEXUS is if you are a complete controller noob like me. I was luckily enough to test the controller out for a month or two. The learning curve is super easy. This will be the next big thing for controller users.

We just need an availability date! I'm buying one asap.

Gonna be great for all Rockstar games (GTAV, RDR2, etc), The Division 2.

Hey glenn, it's mentioned on the blog post, but, it's around 10 hours. This was measured under full load so I'd expect it to be more than that in typical usage cases.

Well strangely enough I was just contacted by someone who is developing an adapter that will allow XIM products to work on PS5 and says it verifies works in all games. We want to, of course, validate these claims. It sounds like they'll have something soon.

Looks awesome. How much is it going to cost? There is any assumption?
It looks like OBsIV is letting the hype build a bit more before he drops that one on us, but I'm betting that we won't see much change out of $130. The Nexus needs to be competetive against other high end controllers whilst having a price point that is still attractive for a new gaming peripheral. I think positive reviews are going to help justify the price and get the gaming community (not the XIM one) talking about the device early doors. I wouldn't be surprised if we see the likes of Linus, Hardware Canucks and Random Frank P demonstrating the XIM Nexus and justifying its price over the next few weeks.

This is amazing! Love to see the xim technology advancements. Great work everyone that was a part of it.  My only concern is that of Stick drift and controller issues. If any problems occur I donít trust persons where I live to open up my xim controller to TRY and fix it. Would you all be supporting controller maintenance? Iím so excited for this product! Everyone at xim out did themselves!

Iíve been toying around with gyro aim on Titan 2 to try and emulate a precursory experience in regard to what Nexus will be like. I was super accurate even with the unrefined coefficients and deadzones (script was good donít get me wrong but needs port & polish). This leaves me with a sense of excitement because I know that Nexus will be a more refined version of that experience and to be quite honest I was accurate as hell with those BAD settings. The customization options will be amazing im sure and seeing how OBsIV and the gang implement the ballistic curve tech will be CRAZYYY! Based on my aim assist experience with an unpolished T2 script (aim assist was very snappy and natural, @#$% near felt like I was hacking) Nexus will be the real deal guys, I know some people are skeptical. I will still have an affinity for my Apex and will be using it often, however this device will be excellent for when we want to kick back on the couch, but still have that complete control over our aiming experience. An experience that only XIM can offer tbh & I think for me personally itíll be a call to action to refine my controller skills that were top notch back in the day. Itís like theyíre encouraging a return to roots lol.

I saw a question about fatigue when using the controller. Its a legitimate concern because you constantly are moving your wrists around to aim. Personally I have experience no fatigue at all. I do occasionally experience fatigue when using KB/M but never on NEXUS. I have had insanely long gaming sessions, even had a few all day followed by all nighter type sessions and never had an issue! Its an extremely comfortable gaming experience.

To add to this - Iíve had two frozen shoulders in the past few years, as well as C4 spinal cord impingement that have almost entirely prevented me from gaming. Mouse & keyboard aggravates my shoulders and neck, but NEXUS causes no pain at all.

I can only manage 2 or 3 hours at best using an APEX before my body gives out. Iíve had no problems banging out 10 hour testing sessions with a NEXUS. The only reason I need to stop is to recharge the controller (it also works fine over USB, just use a quality, lightweight cable like UGREEN).

I will repeat that I absolutely suck with a controller, but I am good with a NEXUS. Not top of the leaderboard battle royale good, but thatís a factor of age, time and experience rather than a limitation of the device.

I have spent 40 years on mouse & keyboard, almost no time playing shooters with a console controller (I canít hit the side of a bus) and only months on a NEXUS, but I am already good enough to at least compete with controller users.

For me, NEXUS has been transformative and has come at exactly the right time. I can spend much more time doing what I love than my ageing joints will otherwise allow. And I can play with my kids on the couch without totally embarrassing myself :)

Hey antithesis, I'm 43 year old man coming from PC in the past and i totally suck with controllers so XIM has been always my perfect solution for years. Actually i play NAV with mouse and XIM APEX. I'm really interested in your opinion comparing the two experiences as im worried about losing efficiency if i change to Nexus compared to mouse and keyboard/NAV.

Do you think we can be as good and precise using Nexus in FPS games?

Can you tell us the pros and cons between the two Worlds from the perspective of a mkb user not experienced with controller?

I know Nexus will be amazing for those users that are already experienced and are good with controllers but im worried in our case. I ask this because i like the concept and ergonomics of the Nexus but i have doubts coming from mkb for so many years.

Thanks for your answers and congratulations to the whole XIM team for the NEXUS, it seems an amazing and innovative product.

Short answer - NEXUS allows even veteran m/kb users to play console shooters with a controller. Whether or not you can slay the lobby depends on time and dedication, but you will be competitive very quickly.

I've been an m/kb gamer since the Commodore 64 and I hate using a controller for shooters. The only shooters I've ever beaten with sticks are Horizon Zero Dawn and the Ratchet & Clank games. Every other console shooter from the last decade I've beaten with a XIM m/kb adapter from one generation or another.

Motion aim makes a huge difference to my controller aim, which is typically nothing short of awful. I am not kidding, I am trash with a controller. The whole reason I landed on XIM in the first place is I kept running out of bullets in Uncharted on PS3.

For single-player games, it'll be quick and easy to adapt to NEXUS from m/kb without the pressure of other players gunning for you. Precision is surprisingly good and motion aim is really stable, depending on your NEXUS settings (calibrate it first). The learning curve is pretty shallow - I recommend disabling Motion Aim for HIP and enabling it for ADS only (the default setting) to get used to it. The most obvious benefit of Motion Aim is recoil control, which is dead easy to do by simply tilting the controller forward. Aim assist is very sticky and smooth - it's in a whole other league than APEX because NEXUS is designed to use it.

For multiplayer online shooters, it's going to take me more time. I'm very hesitant to give up my APEX for MP gaming (really...why would I?), but when I have used NEXUS in MP, I've had roughly the same KDR. I feel less comfortable and confident with a controller given my decades on m/kb, but that's just a matter of putting in the time. Guys like d1sable and MrBrutalFrosty are going to stomp heads with a NEXUS.

NEXUS games require Smart Translators for Motion Aim. As we know, some STs are better than others, so results will vary. Overall, I've really enjoyed that I can finally play a console shooter with a controller. Being pain-free to boot is a massive plus.

I'll be able to demo the difference NEXUS makes to my controller aim by simply toggling motion aim on and off real-time on Twitch. All we need is the green light from OBsIV and a few of the testers will start showcasing NEXUS on Twitch & YouTube.

Good to know, guys. I feel fatigue with MnK..occasionally, not often and it would have to be a marathon gaming session,  so if you guys do and not with this, then it wraps that up. But hey, give it another 40 years, maybe  ;D Watching Od1n's vid with the target practice and was thinking - this thing looks responsive, but his wrists must be working overtime lol.

Just recently switched from the ps5 to the xbox, and though I have had most of my time using a ps controller ( with what time that was using xim ) the xbox controller was an instant upgrade in comfort, night and day.. so it's nice to see Nexus also based around that design.

What binds did you guys go for with the 4 buttons on the back of the controller out of interest? and what was the experience like with that, regarding ease of use? was you able to have the middle and ring fingers on them at all times, or? How did that go?

And just a couple of quick-fires - weight in comparison to xbox controller?
2 buttons, 1 either side of logo.. config swap? change of logo colour?

By default, those buttons are mapped, from left to right: X, Y, B, A (matches the same relative positions of those buttons on front). You don't have your fingers on them at all times. You use your middle finger to press them when needed and then return back to your normal grip. The design is for best motion stability.

Awesome, thanks. I never used controllers with buttons on the back in general, so always wondered if it was a constant position or change of grip.

Worth noting that I donít use the rear buttons at all. Not because theyíre inconvenient, but because I tend to lift my right thumb from the stick while aiming with Motion Aim, which frees it up for face buttons.

If I was a more experience padder, Iíd definitely find a use for the rear buttons. Iíll get there eventually :)

Ok, so for people like me who have never used motion aim. You said you take your thumb of the stick while motion aiming. Does that mean while in motion aim ( ads held ) that the aim stick is disabled? or does the aiming stick and motion work simultaneously.. so you can flick aim with an ads held stick and minor adjust with motion?

Both work on top of each other, complete beginners to motion aiming may feel overwhelmed by using both at the same time though so you will probably find yourself using motion first and then incorporate it into your existing stick aiming.
Some of the alpha testers are still switching between the two, or are using both at the same time. It all comes down to what you prefer, there are restrictions in that regard :).

Button binding is easy my changes from default are:

Left stick click for jump
LB to sprint
LP (first bottom left button) to crouch/prone
RP (first bottom right button) tactical grenade/equipment
LQ (second bottom left button) switch weapon
RQ (second bottom right bottom) reload

ABXY is not binded to remove the habit of taking my right thumb off the stick.

Weight is very similar to an Xbox One controller, very premium feeling.

What is the size of this controller ? Is it the standard Xbox One Size OR the new XSX size ?

In a way it feels slightly wider and a little flatter than an Xbox one controller. This is definitely my favorite shaped controller, previously it was Xbox One.

I lift my thumb more by bad habit than intent, but both sticks and motion work together. Iíll use sticks to get close to the target then slide into the hitbox using motion aim. Flicking and sliding works really well to swap targets.

More experienced users will do both at all times, but I need to consciously force myself to keep my right thumb on the stick.

This right here is very unfortunate.  I understand why, but this is a major drawback for something like this, especially a "controller" device.

The NEXUS controller however is completely wireless (USB is optional).

Don't get me wrong, I know it's *currently* unavoidable.  It's still disappointing.  Hopefully at some point XIM (at least this motion controller) can get Xbox/PS approved to no longer require that.  That's all I meant.

Glad you guys have a new product you worked so hard on but I have absolutely no interest in ever using a controller. I play PC and console with a mouse and keyboard and that's all I ever my want input to be, except if I'm playing a racing game or flight simulator I'll use a wheel. But that is the only exception.

Release date? Pre-Order date? Price?

I wouldn't be surprised if this is $250+ given it's got features of Scuf/Xbox Elite plus XIM PLUS motion control.

I doubt that.

I'm betting the nexus doesn't go over 130 tops ($129.99?)

Can the right stick be set as a flick stick for quick turns or 180s while motion being used for more precision aiming?
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: antithesis on 12:34 AM - 09/21/21
Analog stick sensitivity is set separately from Motion Aim sensitivity.

The right stick can be set to very high sens for flicks while guiding your aim onto your target with lower sens gyro.

Look mechanics are still constrained by the maximum turn speed set by the developers. Whether or not you can do a quick flick 180 is determined by that turn speed limit.

In a game that has aim assist yes, i could see myself becoming better than with a mouse. Right now its a close tie already and in certain scenarios such as target tracking im already better with Nexus.
For games without aim assist (RB6, PUBG, ...) im not so sure since i havent played those a lot yet.

Overall im convinced that Nexus can change the debate of controllers vs mice on consoles, and im already looking forward to lobby voicechat lines such as "Oh this guy must be on a Nexus" as opposed to "MnK player!" :).

Not sure to be honest. I've been testing different versions for a few years now. But my skill level has gone up dramatically within the last few months because of the quality of the production versions. Right now I'm almost equivalent to where I'm at with a mouse, but both have their strengths and weaknesses for me. For example micro precision and dialing a snipe I'm better with NEXUS. Tracking targets at medium to long range I'm also better on NEXUS. But quick flick shots I'm better with a mouse. If you have years of experience on a mouse of course you'll be better than on a new type of device like this, you still need some time learning it. But because OBsIV is constantly working on new features with us, I do see the potential of getting better than I ever was with a mouse in the near future. My skill level definitely hasn't plateaued yet.

This video is titled DualSense Drift, but the reality is it basically applies to every modern controller with potentiometer thumbsticks.

What has XIM done to make the, likely very expensive Nexus, easily repairable when, not if, the thumbsticks start to drift?
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: OBsIV on 01:07 PM - 09/21/21
Expensive is a relative thing. A new DS5 retails for $70 and a XIM NEXUS will never be able to hit that price point. That said, XIM NEXUS does provide full access to the controller's calibration. If your stick isn't centering how you'd like, you can recalibrate the sensors (which is a 3 second process).

I've always hated controllers cause they break.
And I loved xim4 and Apex cause mouses and keyboards last year's

What's the options for buttons not working and stuff like that??

I love the idea of this motion controller and I'll definitely buy one but if it breaks or isn't working as intended say after 11 months.  I honestly would just go back to m&k

One of the most simple features of the NEXUS but also one of my favorite. I never understood why consoles, or even game developers don't offer this. It makes such a drastic difference to your gameplay!

Calibration is normally stored in the controller itself and it set in the factory. Same is true for XIM NEXUS, but, you'll be able to update it yourself (automatically, or manually).

For me, the biggest difference is aim assist. NEXUS feels perfectly attuned to it, whereas we have to fight it on APEX.

Close quarter engagements are also easier on NEXUS. Likewise for mechanics that donít work well on APEX like wheel menus.

APEX will always have a place in my arsenal as I simply prefer m/kb for online multiplayer. But in reality I spend 95% of my limited gaming time in single-player or PvE and have already replaced APEX with NEXUS for those games.

Two questions:
Have you considered selling an addon for existing controllers? I like my Xbox Elite. If I could have something similar to the Brook Adapter for it but with Xim configs I'd be stoked.

On a similar line, what analog sticks does the Nexus have? I know Xbox has much higher resolution than Playstation, but I also prefer the lighter tension of my elite with the lightest tension setting. I also use the "classic" thumbsticks as the larger top surface I feel gives me more control. I wouldn't mind the Nexus being a whole new controller altogether if it had loose thumbsticks with large surface areas.

PS anyone who says they prefer tighter thumbstick tension is just objectively wrong. It's like preferring heavy mice. It's scientifically worse.
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: OBsIV on 05:18 PM - 09/21/21
XIM NEXUS uses ALPS sticks with a tension close (although maybe a little lighter) than an Xbox One controller. It's really close though. If you were to test by pushing the thumbsticks from both devices next to each other. Sometimes XIM NEXUS "wins" and sometimes Xbox One controller "wins".

What do you mean about an add on?

What do you mean about an add on?
I mean this: https://www.brookaccessory.com/detail/43268489/

This device contains a gyroscope and, when the Xbox controller is plugged into it, takes the analog stick and button inputs of the Xbox controller and outputs those directly, along with the motion control from the device, as one Switch or PS4 controller. It would be amazing if there was a XIM Nexus version of this where we could use it with any existing Xbox controller. I use this with my Elite Series 2 on PC to emulate Switch with Gyro.

To give more context to what I was talking about with the thumbstick shape, funny enough there are two images right in the blog to show what I mean.

The high quality render shows what looks similar to "stock" Xbox One/Series sticks with a smaller concave top
(https://community.xim.tech/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=3819.0;attach=9828;image)

while the lower quality render on the XIM Manager at the bottom shows the good kind of sticks more like the 360 with a wider, shallower concave top.

If we could get sticks that match the latter I would be very pleased!

In games without AA, the only players who can beat me are the following:

"Pro" controller players who regularly play esports comp for the game
Controller players running heavy ridiculous scripts via Titan 2
Other XIM users who are just better than me

I go native when I play on PC, and I used to compete in esports comp for the battlefield games CAL-I  back in the day (@#$% I'm feeling old) and there is just no way a controller player that isn't in the top 1% is going to beat me in a game without AA, whether it supports MnK or I have to use XIM, which each require completely different techniques.

With XIM I run extremely high sense and really only wrist aim, making very steady direct movement, "flicking" by moving slow and not exceeding the turn cap. On PC I run 1600dpi with some modifications on windows and both arm/wrist aim depending on the situation.
I hope this doesn't seem like a brag because I really am not anything special, but no kind of controller is going to outplay me with MnK without AA abuse, unless the player themselves are something special. If this is meant to just be a casual device then awesome it's a sweet idea. But if it's supposed to compete with MnK, players on my skill and above are still going to completely dominate, without AA help.

You sound like a top tier player in general, so yeah probably most people using any device would have a challenge going up against you. But I play without aim assist on NEXUS. I've never been a competitive gamer nor will I ever be, however I'm usually top of the leaderboards in CoD lobbies covered with mouse and keyboard players.

To be clear, the controller and reticle overlays are for streaming or recording in OBS to show what the NEXUS is doing in real-time. Blue indicates analog stick movement, red indicates controller tilt movement.

Will NEXUS work in wired mode?  10 hour battery life would never work for me.  Would this also potentially work with Android/IPHONE for game streaming?
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: antithesis on 03:11 PM - 09/22/21
Yes it works wired. I use mine wired most of the time. Just be sure to use a fairly lightweight, shorter USB cable as a heavy one will cause drag and make gyro aim more difficult.

I use a 3 ft UGREEN USB-C cables without any problems. I have experimented with both normal USB connectors and right-angles. Stick to the normal ones.

Similarly, Iíve tested 1 ft, 3 ft, 6 ft and 10 ft USB cables. 1 ft is way too short (but fine for the auth controller), 6 ft is ok, 10 ft is too heavy. 3 ft is optimal, but depends on close proximity to the PC or console.

You mean connect NEXUS to an Android or iOS phone for gaming? Yes, you can do that since NEXUS presents itself standard USB Bluetooth controller (everything runs on it and not on a dongle). We don't, however, have STs built for mobile games -- yet.

New question:

Since the motion aim of the Nexus will clearly be output as native analog stick movement, this seems similar to the Steam gyro setting of "gyro as analog stick." Do you have any recommended settings for motion control in steam to use this setting so I can practice with it in a way that would be similar to how the Nexus functions?
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?

NEXUS runs motion through a Smart Translator on consoles, not just map it directly to a stick position. So, there won't be an equivalent way to simulate it.

I donít think Aux configs are supported, but you can specify which button to bind to a wheel menu, which is what most Aux configs are for. There are also functions for button remapping and multi-action buttons (eg activated by trigger depth).

Most other functions typically used for Aux configs like skydiving, driving etc that can cause problems when using m/kb on APEX are handled via the gameís controller actions and arenít really needed on NEXUS.

Welcome to the community. DPad is silicon dome like ABXY. Yes, it has rumbles, but, is used to notify you when motion is enabled/disabled (you can turn this off). XIM NEXUS presents itself as an XInput device when both wired and wirelessly connected to a PC. XIM NEXUS' translation tech will map the onboard motion sensor. All you do is choose to use a controller on the game you are playing and it just works as is. Nintendo Switch support is possible, but, not yet a priority.

No delay. The aim overlaps. You can use motion and stick at the same time and the control is additive. Some players look in a general area with the stick and use motion for all precision, I personally use both at the same time.

How does the D-Pad/Directional Pad feel?
Is there rumble or vibration?
Does the PC connection only allow XInput and XIM Nexus Manager remapping, or can it be a DirectInput device to make full use of the buttons and gyro?
Is Nintendo Switch support planned?

Welcome to the community.
XIM NEXUS presents itself as an XInput device when both wired and wirelessly connected to a PC. XIM NEXUS' translation tech will map the onboard motion sensor. All you do is choose to use a controller on the game you are playing and it just works as is.
Thanks!
I was thinking about more along the lines of using Steam Input, DS4Windows, or a similar program to maximize usage of the back buttons, since the Steam Controller seems to be the only gamepad right now to allow gyro and paddles at the same time, even if it's only through Steam Input.

That is because the steam controller is fairly dumb, all of the work is done via the the controller software. On the controllers with back buttons they are generally simply replicas of the face buttons, with their own software to assign them.
Do you have a controller with back buttons that are seen by Steam software ? I have a Razer wolverine that has back buttons, I wonder if I can make Steam see it for what it is.

The steam controller and PS4 controller through steam are very effective, PS4 controller wins for console games but has a not so good gyro. Steam controller wins on PC games and as it is so versatile is can be configured to give keyboard inputs. This is how I use both Steam controller and PS4 controller to play xbox games and have motion aim.

Edit,
My wolverine is only seen as a standard controller,   Xbox Elite controllers do show up with back paddles and they are configurable.

Hey
Been using xim products since xim3. I have never been able to use the console controller for shooters games. So do not know what to think about nexus, looks incredible, and if it was developed by the xim group you know it is first quality. Something I notice, for me at least, is that it looks more natural to aim using motion than using sticks. Just like using a real weapon you aim by moving your hands, not with a stick. We'll see wen I get one, cause of course I will be getting one.

Would you say it's viable to not touch the stick at all while aiming and snap and track purely using the gyro? My mind could change but I feel like just generally looking around and general centering and then use the gyro alone to do all the right-stick work once I spot an enemy.

Ditto.

I am terrible at using sticks alone for aim, so motion aim is used for microing into the hitbox. Combining stick with gyro is very intuitive.

Most people play like that. Being a very experienced thumbstick players I use both at the some time, but generally more precision aim I use mostly motion.

Is there a way to get notified or a mailing list to register for availability info?

Can you switch which thumbstick the gyroscope applies to on the fly? For example, a lot of games these days have menu navigation cursors that work like a windows cursor but is applied to the left thumb stick. Diablo 2 R's inventory would be a lot easier to navigate if you could use the gyroscope on the left thumb.

Are the back buttons tied to the face buttons on a hardware level? Can you assign the back buttons individually? For example, if you could switch the application of the gyroscope between thumb sticks using one of the back buttons would be convenient.

Yes, in your Config you can choose which stick is driven by motion. The back buttons can be assigned to anything you want. Right now, you can only assign an action to select next or previous configs. There isn't yet a way to assign an action that will load a specific config (which I believe is that you'd want?).

Ok, I answered my own question after watching a few videos.  I think I'll be right at home, I see tilting back makes you look up.  For some reason, I thought you have to lift up the controller up change the look mechanic.  Will be buying for sure!

Question. So do you have to play without moving the controller at all otherwise the gyros will move your aim?

I have a tendency of moving the controller around while i play, will that make me do unwanted movement when doing so or is there a button to press when you want to use gyro in conjunction with thumbstick?

Yes you can activate motion via button presses or trigger percentages. So for as long as motion is not active you can move around the controller as much as you want to. You can toggle, hold or permanently have motion active.
I usually have motion active when i start to hold the right trigger, and then when i continue to press it a bit more the weapon will start to shoot too.

You have full control over when motion should activate! :)

Without wanting to sound entitled, I think it'd be most fair if the regulars of this forum i.e. the people that help others with their queries and problems with the XIM and help to shape features and updates, got first dibs on the Nexus in order to ensure that it continues for this new product.

OBsIV, I work in e-commerce. You should be able to accomplish this with ďcustomer groupsĒ. Looks like you use 3dcart (shift4shop) on your store. Hereís their article on setting up customer groups (in this case, folks who did and folks who did not purchase XIM Apex) so only the one group can see the Purchase button during the exclusive pre-order period: https://www.shift4shop.com/lp/features/3dcarts-customer-groups-feature/

Of course account sharing could still happen but that could be mitigated by restricting purchases to 1 per account during the preorder period.

The only problem I see with this logic is that what if a newcomer shares the same excitement that you do, but never knew about XIMs legacy. Motion controls are very popular among most switch owners. I think having the ability to add motion to every game on different platforms is a game changer. So people are going to flock. Iíve had every XIM product since XIM 3, but business is business. Later in the article I linked above, they talk about ways to let people opt into a Customer Group.  You could set up that option for people where they enter their Apex serial number and it's then compared to a list of valid serials.  They would then be added to the "purchased XIM Apex" Customer group.  Feel free to PM me if you decide to go this route and have any questions.

Tbh, I'm just worried about bots ruining the launch.  I STILL haven't been able to buy an RTX 3070 for a fair price after a year of trying and I've seen even small launches for niche items like Artisan keycaps ruined all year.  The bot guys are absolutely ruthless now.  They scrape google trends and use their bot armies to buy up trending new products without even knowing what they are. Like I said, I work in e-commerce and it's the hottest topic in our industry. Big, old-fashioned companies still aren't willing to pay for the software to properly implement mitigation measures but smaller nimble companies are doing great work on this front.

Super excited to purchase one!

Seems like stick drift wonít be a big issue though my main concern is the left thumb stick ďclickĒ for running and maybe the front buttons/sticking. Every controller Iíve had including Nav will result in the left thumb click dying.

Will it be easy to replace the left thumb stick component?

Can you use the Nexus in tandem with another usb or Bluetooth device?
Example
My current Apex setup is mouse, nav, and old foot stinky board. Since the Nav runs wireless it allows another device to be used.  Essentially mapped the board for run and reloads or R&R as I like to call it. (https://c1.neweggimages.com/ProductImage/26-880-001-02.jpg)

One thing we suggested during testing is auto-sprint based on pegged stick position, so the LS / L3 click isnít required for Sprint. This is a common quality of life mod in Titan scripts and will extend the life of the LS button.

Iím not sure when OBsIV is looking at it, but I believe itís on the to do list to at least test the functionality.
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: OBsIV on 02:33 PM - 09/29/21
I've been on the fence about that one (auto-sprint) due to the concern about it engaging when you don't want it to (such as when you are confronting an enemy).
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?

HIP only, or when L2 &/or R2 are inactive could solve that.
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: AgentSmith on 02:53 AM - 09/30/21

most games don't allow sprint while in ADS mode,  for the games that do, adding an adjustable delay for it to activate would also solve.
In fact, it does solve, it's something I do in Steam software.
it also has the added bonus of allowing the left stick click to be utilised for something else, in my case that is often reload or crouch/prone

The worst side effect of the feature is, without a delay it can stand you up accidently while you are in prone crawling moving forward and accidently hit the edge of the movement. But, as I said ( and what I do to solve ) is add a delay in the activation time, so if hit accidently and briefly it doesn't activate.

But then some games quite often stand you up for no apparent reason any way ( I am talking to you Battlefield )

If it was added as a function people could use or not, their choice, then you are not forcing anything onto people that they may not like. I am fairly everyone would feel about it like I do, once used there is no going back.

This should've been standard on consoles since last gen, really.
Good that you're doing this, maybe it'll move the industry forward.

Not really interested personally, I'll never enjoy playing FPS games with a joypad, gyro aim or no.
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?

Destiny 2 is a game thatíll knock the player out of ADS if Sprint is initiated. Other games will use LS / L3 as Hold Breath while ADS.

Applying autosprint to HIP only solves both problems. It would still be an issue while prone, so itíd have to be optional.

Thanks for the info, I haven't played much of Destiny 2  as its sprint turn speed was..  Let's just say not very good so we don't offend people.
I understand there has been or is going to be an update to address the turn speed so it might we worth a look again if that has been done.

How about the delay method I use, It could be set for maybe 500ms delay, giving the user the time to accidently touch it and not do any harm.
But.. As i did, most people will quickly learn ( muscle memory ) not to hit the edge of travel. I have the delay as a fail safe for panic situations.

I am a bit disappointed on this new release... :'(

Coming from XIM2, XIM3 (my favorite of all), EDGE, XIM4 and finally XIM Apex...I feel like the Mouse keyboard project is dead. I get it, things change, we need to move on to better things.

I went with XIM to move away from a controller, it seems like we are back were we started.

Device looks good, a lot of good features, etc...I am sure it will be a hit with the new gen of players. Not sure it will be my cup of tea :)

I don't think it's fair to say that just because a separate product is being released for a different group of players. The devs have said the support for the Apex will continue as normal, and a new XIM MKB adapter would likely be released in the future if the Apex were to become obsolete somehow.

Will it be possible to setup the back buttons to act as gyro on/off buttons separately from the other buttons? I know that since it's Xinput only so many buttons can be used for gameplay, but if its possible to have one or two back buttons act only as modifiers for the gyro/motion to turn it on and off without taking up one of the buttons that would be used in actual gameplay, that would be a really nice feature.

Welcome to the community. XIM NEXUS has 24 mappable buttons (and also 4 separate customizable trigger positions per trigger). You can map any one of these to engage or toggle motion. Also, I think you are asking if you can have multiple "actions" per button (such as "Press A" and "Engage Motion"), which you can.

There are multiple ways to activate/ deactivate motion aim. One of them is a dedicated button on the front of the controller to swap between regular controller mode and the selected Smart Translator.

Personally, I prefer motion aim on ADS only (not active on HIP aim), but it could be activated by say pressing ADS beyond 50% trigger depth.

Ah ok, that's pretty much what I was looking for, a dedicated button to turn motion aim on/off without using up one of the limited number of buttons that I can map for gameplay. I personally like playing with motion aim always on and then having a button to temporarily turn it off, so that should work perfectly for me.

Yes, we have a mode called "Navigation Mode". It's design, when enabled with a button combo, so that the controller goes into a mode where it acts just like a standard controller (no motion, no mappings). The idea is when you are navigating system menus you drop into that mode.

I'm on it. I'll be streaming soon and will toggle between Motion Aim and regular controller gameplay to demo how much better I am with the NEXUS.

Really happy this is a motion controller. Really gave the Steam C. A good go and i still use it.  This will be a great upgrade from the regular console once.
However i dont agree with the design decision to make it a single unit, altough i understand that the transition for all regular control users will be non existing this way.
Razer hydra ( with all its limitations) is for me by far the best motion controller their has been. Making fast twithes to aim with your dominant hand only instead of using booth hands in conjunction is not only faster, its more intuitive, ergonomic and well, better.
So i guess my pleed is to make a split in 2 pieces version 😊 .
Anyways great job on this and i will buy it anyways ( although i might try to saw it in half )

100% will be purchasing and If its possible pre ordering. This is the ideal solution. I don't know why this, and native mouse and keyboard aren't the industry standard yet for consoles. Especially with cross-play with PC becoming the norm its ridiculous to not offer every player everywhere the opportunity to play how they are most comfortable.

Yes i agree, I realized that shortly after testing Nexus for the first time. If you primarily motion aim with one hand while using the other just as a support your accuracy is much higher than when aiming with both hands at the same time.

I used the SteamC the same way. Their is a learning curve to relax your off hand but it works better then trying to use both. For me though its not close to a one hand solution.

The reason they are not mainstream is simply because there are too many people who use a standard controller, they won't look into other options, and think everything that is different to what they have is cheating.
Then game dev's like Dice produce a game these days that is crossplay between PC and console, and seem to think that they should not give KB/M support to the console.

Any chance of an autorun function, so you dont have to keep the stick pegged to run?

It is very fatiguing for people with disabilities to peg the stick all the time when playing games like destiny, etc.

For those who havent seen it yet, the new XIM has been unveiled
(see here https://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=3819.msg852948#msg852948)

What are your thoughts on it? Any questions on the new device? :)
edit: By the way over the next week I will release a new Nexus video every day on the XIM Central channel to celebrate the unveil!

The back buttons are not placed well. Being in the middle of the back of the controller is one the worst places buttons could be, because they're so far away from where hands rest naturally. A lot of other controllers have this problem, poor back button design or paddles. The Power A Fusion Pro and the Xbox Elite 1 and 2 controllers have proper paddle placement. This is where any back buttons or paddles should be located. So while I like the gyro, the back button placement is still really important. Having the back buttons in the center of the back of the controller isn't a difference of opinion or preference for players, it's objectively bad. I play a lot of tennis and your grip of the tennis racket is very important, and the same is true for controllers. The entire point of having back buttons or paddles is to keep a comfortable grip and don't move your thumbs off the sticks. And back buttons that are hard to reach defeat the entire point of this, because A) it's uncomfortable to reach for them and B) still have to move thumbs in order to reach the back buttons. Highly recommend placing the back buttons on the inner/under part of the grips, precisely where your fingers sit naturally while holding a controller. Much like how your pointer fingers naturally sit on the triggers and bumpers, the same should be true for the middle, ring, or pinkie fingers on the back buttons/paddles.

Post by: OBsIV on 01:49 PM - 10/17/21
Welcome to the community. The placement of the buttons on the back were intentional and one of the strengths of XIM NEXUS. As a motion controller, your grip is important and the buttons were placed such that you can press them quickly with your middle finger and return back to your grip. They aren't intended to be hovered over at all times.

Wrong. The button placement is absolutely perfect on this controller. Its extremely natural to the way your middle finger moves.

I HATE the Elite paddles because I am constantly knocking the stupid things off. They were the reason I bought an Elite, so it was a complete waste of money.

We are working hard to ship before Christmas, but, we don't have solid dates yet. Pricing is harder for us (and everyone else actually) do to the state of the world when it comes to supply chain and semiconductors. We are going to hold on pricing until the last possible moment because of this.

Don't train too hard, you might not need most of it when you experience gyro aim, it's intuitive, natural and just works, it's like hitting people in the head with your mind, you think it the controller does it. :-)

A question, could a trackpad will be a better choice than a thumbstick for aiming on nexus?
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: Od1n on 05:19 AM - 10/18/21
With a trackpad you cannot make continuous inputs, such as turning around. Its great for precision inputs but thats about it.
Gyro aiming is very similar, excellent accuracy but a 180į+ turn can be an issue. So you would stack two similar solutions on top of each other without solving the turning issue.

Sticks on the other hand are great for turning but bad for precision inputs. So they match really well with motion aiming as they cancel out the weakness of each other.

That is how the steam controller does it, but it also has an outer ring ( software setting ) which can be set up so you track across the pad for aim then when you get to the edge it has continuous motion.
Also the steam controller was deigned for for that purpose and puts the track pad in the right place.

On PC It works well with Mouse input games but not so well with controller input games.
The trackpads on Steam controller are used most effectively as either Low sense for fine aim, or High sense for rapid camera movement, then gyro doe the other.

Something I would love to see for Nexus Version 2.
Replace the ABXY buttons with a track pad, but have the track pad which can be used as right stick, also be the buttons by clicking in the appropriate quadrant. It would give track pad to those that want it for gestures of direct mouse control, and it would also work as buttons for those that don't.

Again its something I use all the time on the steam controller,  Left track pad acts as a left stick, but if I press the quadrants it acts like D-Pad, also centre click is assignable, outer edge for sprint, used with a modifier it also becomes a rose selector selections.

Might as well just use a mouse, that'd be two sources of right stick input with lack of easy turning and probably less accuracy than a mouse so it'd be a downgrade. The idea behind the Nexus is to allow the manoeuvrability of a controller with the precision aiming capability to rival a mouse.

As a strong believer in mouse inputs being better than thumbsticks, the TouchPad is one of the least precise devices I used. Steam controller proved to me that its awful for competitive FPS. Especially terrible for tracking moving targets. Thumbstick is a far better when combined with motion.

I'm terrible with a controller for shooters, so I never invested time into improving with one.

Adapting to NEXUS was quick, especially for ADS. HIP takes more getting used to, I recommend an acceleration Ballistics Curve to make HIP easier to manage.

Really looking forward to the NEXUS. The gameplay from the alpha testers has been phenomenal to see what it will look like. Iím an APEX and controller play due to my love of both MnK and Controller and i canít help but look forward to the gyro and stick combination, once used to incorporating both I can only imagine the possibilities of how good you can become. Recently started messing around with cod etc on the phone and I began to really like gyro.

I know steam have a controller with gyro etc but Iím a console lover and so I really canít wait to put the MnK aside while I get a feel for the NEXUS.

You guys are amazing for doing this and I canít help but recommend XIMs products and the company with how interactive and how great everyone is. Roll on the release date once itís ready 😃

So I have a question,

In a sense will you be able to use the function layers like you can with the apex?

The reason I ask is for like shift style keys on PC.

Like one of the buttons on the bottom may be bound to B, but if you press another button (Function key) it now makes that B button into X or combination inputs?

Also if this doesn't make sense I can try to re-word it.

If you mean like hypershift on Logitech devices, then no, it's not supported. But multiple actions &/or functions can be mapped to a single NEXUS button.

That's an interesting question though for potential PC usage where control schemes aren't anywhere near as compact as console controllers.

What about auxiliary profiles using hold activation and non inherited keybinds, would that work?
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?

There are no AUX sub-configs on NEXUS and bindings are global within a config for HIP and ADS.

NEXUS is a controller intended to play console games with the added benefit of motion aim, rather than a controller intended to play PC games that have a huge number of keybinds.

There are enough buttons on NEXUS to use in place of an Xbox or PS controller, with a handful of extra buttons to bind to controller actions. Double-binding, like on APEX, is possible. But AUX configs are not. Analog triggers can be configured to perform different actions at different depths, but digital buttons (everything else) cannot.

PC games will be supported by NEXUS, but only if that game supports a controller. If you want something more complex, maybe reWASD will do the job on PC. Lithe uses NEXUS to play PC m/kb games with reWASD.

Couple of questions:

1. How does the gyro work? Is it enabled at all times, or do you press a button to turn it on/off?

2. Is it possible to control what the console sees the Nexus as? For example let's say I want to play in both the controller and mouse/keyboard playlists on Halo Infinite, is that possible?
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?

There are numerous ways to engage Motion Aim, toggling on/off is one of them.

NEXUS is a controller and can only present as such on console. It is possible on PC to appear as m/kb by routing NEXUS through reWASD.

Lithe uses NEXUS to play PC m/kb games with reWASD.
what does AUX configuration mean?

Auxiliary config.  IE if you press "E" it changes your config to something else  (like if you wanted a different config to control your sparrow in Destiny)

Hey OBsIV, had a quick question about this.

Are the customizable trigger positions similar to the hair trigger locks on the Xbox Elite controllers, or does it mean that you can map up to 4 different actions to one trigger (ex. 50% pull to melee, 100% to throw grenade)?

Post by: OBsIV on 01:49 AM - 12/31/21
Welcome to the community. The trigger positions are not physically locked. Rather, you can assign different actions to different positions. Yes, you could do 50% melee and 100% grande throw.

There are numerous ways to engage Motion Aim, toggling on/off is one of them.

NEXUS is a controller and can only present as such on console. It is possible on PC to appear as m/kb by routing NEXUS through reWASD.
Thanks. Any chance it could be enabled to switch to ďkeyboard/mouse modeĒ via firmware update? I imagine the Nexus would be more responsive and avoid slow turning issues in this mode.

Why would you want that? There should be no turning issues with a controller. If you want that kind of feature, then you might as well get a steam controller instead or play with native keyboard and mouse. Nexus wasnít made for that.

As above, not sure why you'd want to do that when the analog sticks are always going to be best for turning with streaks, vehicles and just generally in the game. Sticks for turns, gyro for aiming.

To play in mouse and keyboard playlists, as I said.

In Halo Infinite, thatís the only way to turn off aim assist.

So yes, question. So as of right now, I use the 3rd party controller hori for xim apex on the ps5. So, with that being said, will I have to use the beloader or can I use the hori as I'm using now to emulate the controller?

2nd, when the nexus goes up, will they be for purchase to ship or preorder to send out on a later date?

And last. Will the nexus have to be held at a certain degree in order for the controller to use the motion feature or can I be calibrated or adjusted within the app? I usually hold my controller at a 45į angle.
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: antithesis on 06:05 AM - 01/04/22
Third-party specialty controllers only work in launch PS5 games. PS5 won't be supported using a Hori controller. Remote Play using something like a Beloader does work, as does the official PS Remote Play app on PC & Mac.

The NEXUS gyros are calibrated with the controller on a flat surface, but you can hold the controller on any angle you like. 45 degrees may give you issues in regards to forwards / backwards range of motion for your wrists, but you'll adjust the what feels right.

If so, will it be possible to lower the sensitivity of the right stick in the XIM Manager?

Yes the same ingame settings are required. Just like with other XIM devices you then dial in your overall sensitivity via the XIM config. In the case of Nexus you can set both your X and Y stick sensitivity via the corresponding Nexus game config.

My thought is, sell me one now. I know you've got test units. I'd buy one for $500.00 USD. :D

If there is no PC option, then, you should use the Xbox version (which is almost always what is used).

NEXUS uses tilt controls that are very easy to adapt to. Here's a demo of me using a NEXUS with a hand cam. Keep in mind I'm almost 50 and a potato with a regular controller in shooters -

The USB cable isn't required as NEXUS is a wireless controller. I used a USB cable to demo that NEXUS works wired too, without adversely affecting the motion controls. I have the USB cable connected to a powered USB hub just for charging, the controller is still connected wirelessly to the NEXUS dongle.

Stick and gyro movement stack and can be performed at the same time. What you'll probably end up doing is large movements in HIP using mostly stick with gyro for filler, then mostly gyro in ADS with sticks to control recoil or to flick between targets.

Does Someone know If U adjust the gyro settings in the Game? Or is maybe via App? Does the Game needs to support Motion Control?
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: antithesis on 09:54 PM - 01/06/22
The gyros are calibrated universally. What you do adjust per-game in XIM NEXUS Manager is Motion Aim Sensitivity and Analog Stick Sensitivity. Ballistics Curves, Smoothing and Bindings (if wanting something other than default controls) are also managed separately for each game.

To use gyro controls, a game requires a XIM Smart Translator. There are generic translators that might work in unsupported games, but like APEX and all XIM generations before it, NEXUS works best with a dedicated translator.

There is a good chance that native mouse & keyboard PC games will have universal support. This is different from controller support for each game because controller look mechanics vary from game to game, but mouse behaviour on PC is universal. Emulating m/kb with a NEXUS means that there is no aim assist, but it does allow pretty much any PC game to be played with a NEXUS.

I have the Steam Controller, Switch Pro Controller and some Binbok Joicons and I quite enjoy motion controls on them when playing my PC. On Xbox I have both the Xim4 and the Xim Apex. I'm looking forward to picking the Nexus up ASSP but I was wondering if the ability to recognize the gyroscope in Joicons or Switch Pro Controller or even the PS4/5 controller could be added to the other Xim products. Thanks!

One of the big reasons we didn't want to base our product on other exiting controllers with IMUs (motion sensors) is because the only way we could build the best solution is to have direct access to the sensor hardware.

Regarding preorders. Given the chip/cargo/custom issues that all manufacturing has been going through has there been any thought to opening preorders with an eta shipping date. Similar to what steam has done with their steam deck. Opened preorders for customers and given them a q1/q2/q3 eta?

I know on the forum we are all eager to ďlock inĒ our order, even if that means getting second or third shipment.

Thanks.

I think a short forum post 2-3 days prior to the launch with an unannounced release would be the best.
Active users who want to be among the first will then know when the time has come to frequently check the store.
The post will just say that Nexus will be out in the week of the post and it maybe even reveals the price. Its not posted in the development blog post to avoid non-active users from getting an email notification. Instead its maybe shared somewhere in the Nexus forum board.

This is of course still not ideal but should give active users a very good chance to secure a XIM Nexus on launch day.
I dont think its possible to priorize very old community members without people exploiting the system or upsetting a large amount of the community. If forum registration date, post count, XIM Apex serial number, XIM Store account or other factors are considered then there will always be people who exploit their whitelisted status. Also Nexus for the most part targets a new audience and all of the aforementioned methods would lock them out. This could cause quite some uproar and negativity.
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: Od1n on 05:46 AM - 01/15/22
What i think is much more important though is to strengthen the XIM Store against scalping bots. You can have the best community solution but if the store isnt fortified against bots then its all kind of meaningless.

It should not be possible to buy more than 2 XIM Nexus controllers within 1 month:
- under the same IP
- under the same account
- under the same credit card or bank account
- to the same address
- idealy email or phone verification code to check out
- email/phone verification is tied to the account, the same phone/email cannot be used under a different account
- captchas or artificial pause times between steps to delay bots (must wait 10 seconds before you can proceed to the next step)
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: Ronso86 on 06:07 AM - 01/15/22
You could also create a preorder page where forum registered users (registered until a specific date) can register to preorder. You can send them a GUID code to their Mailaddress that must be used to buy a Nexus. Every Code is unique and can be used only one time. After the specific time you remove the code verification, so all other people out there can order the Nexus, too.

I feel like this would cause a lot of older users to just generate that code and then either sell it/give it away, or use it to buy a Nexus and then sell it. Basically people who managed to slip into the whitelist without any real intention to use the product themselvs. Given how most older forum accounts are mouse and keyboard users this scenario isnt that unlikely.

To get some traction Nexus must also reach the controller audience. Restricting the launch to old forum users would lock these people out and create unnecessary negativity.

You cannot prevent people from buying the product and sell it afterwards. Me personally I don't think that's the intention of the most members here. I saw a lot of comments that says they want to try, they must have one or they are not interested in. I feel most non controller users here don't follow the topics in the Nexus thread.
Also I don't say that only old Forum users have to get the chance, but the day of pre registering could be the day of deadline of registered users, so no new users like bots or scrapers will get one.
Remember that this would be a short phase to ensure forum members get there Nexus and then the rest of the world. Isn't that the plan or what this all is about?

Please re-read my comment, this is not what i said.
If you restrict the pool of buyers too much then the locked out users will complain. Some shops in my country have attempted similar methods as suggested in this topic to sell new consoles or GPUs. It resulted in a shitshow and they had to apologize through their social media channels. They eventually went for unrestricted purchases and  fortified their anti shopping bot mechanics instead to calm the customers.

Your comment reflects the opposite side of what i mentioned in my previous comment. You rightfuly complain as a very old user to get priority on the launch purchase. But just like your comment there will be plenty of others coming from users who will see their chances being reduced by whatever system is discussed right now. And regardless of the system being used on launch, if the disadvantaged side finds some people to exploit the restrictions then you will have a really hard time to extuingish that fire.

This is what we discuss right now. As Obsiv said on the previous page this hasnt been decided yet. Maybe someone has a good suggestion to avoid a race condition.

Though with how XIM Nexus is still flying under the radar i doubt we will see a similar situation as with GPUs or the new consoles. Assuming enough steps have been done by the XIM Store team to prevent scalping bots from buying a lot of units of course.

The controllers are stuck in customs or they was .If we was even told how many units are available at launch could give us some idea of our chances and are they only sold on the xim store or also from the network of xim distributors ?

We don't know how NEXUS will be distributed and it may not be sold from this website at all. In which case it's up to the regional distributors to manage local sales.

In Australia, as soon as I know how much NEXUS will cost and how many I can order, I'll open up pre-orders and limit sales to one per household. I don't know how much control other XIM distributors have over their online stores, but that seems like a fairly easy thing to implement.

That's a fair way  :D

Personally I would do what Od1n has suggested with strong anti bot measures and limits on unit numbers per household. You could do something with the forum, but due to the open nature I never signed up for years, just browsed the relevant articles  - I signed up recently so I could thank ObsIV. Many other users could be in the same boat.

My first Xim product was an Apex I got shortly after launch, which I had to use for accessibility. I accept I might not get a Nexus from the first batch (not for the lack of trying!), but as long as bots donít instantly grab the next shipments then hopefully most of us will get one soon enough.

Just some food for thought ,  the current unavailability of the Apex product line could have created significant pent up demand for any Xim product, even if it is not like for like? Both products have similar fundamentals of providing accessibility and more precise aim, so once people see how good the gyro aim is (Iím going off xims reputation that it will be fantastic) the orders really might flood in. If that happens, and Nexus gets well known before the second batch then people here could get a little frustrated.

I wish the whole team the best of luck, and hope people will be understanding of any issues that crop up.

I wish the whole team the best of luck, and hope people will be understanding of any issues that crop up.

I agree limiting 1 per household sounds like a good step.  Additionally, I wouldn't mind the ability to still place a pre order for 2nd or 3rd shipment if I cant get in the first.  At least that way ill be guaranteed one eventually and not have to deal with buying one from a scalper on ebay.  Easier to resist if you know an approximate date of when you would get one from official channel.

Hey I've been a Xim user since the Xim4 and have had an Apex since April 2020 and have just created a forum profile to chime in on the Nexus.

Everything I've seen from the dev blog post and discussions on the forum, to XIM Central's youtube channel showcasing the controller, has been amazing.  I've always been a potato aimer on controller and have stuck with KBM  for FPS games, so it is exciting to think that I could have the convenience of playing with native controls and the benefit of added precise aiming in one package.

I hope to get my hands on one as soon as I can :)

I like Od1n's idea of adding some server-side checks to help mitigate against bots:

These are all great points, especially anti-bot captcha-like implementation.

All it takes is one person motivated enough to automate the ordering process to ruin it for a lot of folks if the online release is overlooked.  It's clear that money can be made off this release by scalpers, which in turn robs existing users and members of the community the opportunity to buy it at a fair price.

LinusTechTips wanted to sell some graphics cards to 'actual gamers' and dropped a Youtube video that contained a segment inside where they tell you to go a particular subdirectory on their store  (e.g., `/asus/3090/strixextreme`) in order to answer some gaming-related trivia questions and only the first X number of people to watch the video and complete the quiz had the opportunity to buy a card.

Obviously that is not feasible to expect your dev team to imlement this and QA test it if the planned release is still this month.

My idea that can definitely be improved upon:

- Drop a message to forum members letting them know when the release is
- Store page updates and has a simple puzzle that links to a trivia form.
- The easy trivia is random (and X wrong answers will fail the test, resulting in punishment for bots)
- successful completion of the test will generate a one-time use token associated with the user's account that will allow them to place an order with the Nexus.
- could be something similar to the human verification for forum posts (e.g., How many numbers are in asdf969s) but would have to be revised so it couldn't be scripted.

This way existing users that want to get a Nexus at release will have a chance to complete these tasks before a bot programmer can account for the change in checkout process.  I would also prevent guest checkout for the initial release, in addition to all the points mentioned.

Here's a link to the sold ebay listings of the Apex, sorted by newest:
Code: [Select]
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=xim+apex&_sacat=0&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1
Yes, the Apex is not the same as the Nexus and greatly marked-up prices for used Apex does not mean demand for the Nexus will be the in the same capacity. But I would err on the side of caution if I were XIM Tech, to offer the best chance to existing and loyal customers.

What kind of sensitivity are testers using for the gyro? If you turn the controller 90 degrees to the left how far does your crosshair move?

It will turn as much as you want to. I tend to be on the slower motion sensitivity, my physical turning mostly reflects the angles i turn ingame.

That's me in a nutshell. I am trash with a controller, but competent with a NEXUS.

I still prefer APEX due to decades of m/kb, but it's easier to game from the couch with a NEXUS.

Ok the reason I ask is because I've noticed a lot of NEXUS wireless drops when using with Beloader that's running in wireless mode (i.e. a lot of interference). It makes me wonder if Beloader has emissions certification.

Yeah, I've not tried it with Beloader in WiFi mode.

Question, does the "Gyro" portion of Nexus work on PS5 considering it's not really made for it? or can it just be used as a controller?

Pretty sure you are correct on your assumption. The moment you have a wireless device (2.4ghz in a somewhat proximity of Beloader) you will start to notice delays due to interferences (if not disconnects). The Beloader causes more interferences than a normal 2.4ghz adapter.
Getting emission certificates are quite expensive and i just dont see them going for that. At least my Beloader has no label on the housing that specifies such a certificate (other wireless devices usually do that).

It works really really well in the PS5 games that i commonly play. Though these games might have aim mechanics close to their PS4 games.
But even in a few unusported XIM games that i have tried the Nexus and its motion aiming work really really well.

I tried NEXUS on Genshin Impact on PS5 using the PS4 ST and it was terrible. I downloaded the PS4 version instead and it was great. There was clearly a difference in the look mechanics between the two releases.

Once we get dedicated PS5 STs, NEXUS will feel great in native PS5 games.

On another thread ObSiv mentioned they would be uploading the nexus user manual this week, and said he got the first 2 units from production line on 1/21 and they met the as standards.

So really hoping there will be more info coming soonish. I agree though it would be nice to have a weekly or bimonthly locked official update thread on the nexus, but I realize this is asking a lot, probably asking way too much.

In any event the XIM team should be really proud of all the anticipation and excitement around the nexus.

If Apple is being stubborn, then they may have to use TestFlight to have the Nexus Manager app available for iOS. They did this before with Apex Manager when they were pushing out updates.
Title: Re: Nexus - What are your thoughts or questions?
Post by: OBsIV on 04:12 PM - 01/28/22
Yes, we may have to do a TestFlight. For context, the XIM NEXUS Manager app is similar in structure as both XIM4 and XIM APEX Manager. You start up the app and it tells you that you need to download latest game support. We've been publishing apps that do this for 6 years now on Apple's App store. To my surprsie, XIM NEXUS Manager was just rejected because they said we should be listing the file size of the game database download. Remember, we've been submitting apps that didn't do this for 6 years. Now suddently, they reject us because of that. It's beyond irritating and consistent with how they treat people that develop software on their platform. It's been things like this the entire time. I asked for an exception. We will see.

Usually you use a Generic ST, but if the game is made by the same developers on the same engine, then you can use an existing ST that was made by those developers. It is the same as Apex. The sticks are the same size as Xbox series sticks.

Just saw the new setup vid. Has been my first time seeing the Nexus manager UI. Looks great. Super excited.

Two questions/suggestions if you're taking them:
1).  Can an option be added to sync the x/y stick sensitivity to make setting the same easier?
2).  Can the motion hip/ads be given different x/y sensitivities as well under expert mode? If not can that be added.

Syncing the x/y; it is literally 2 numeric fields. Hardly much of a difference...

On a related note, are there plans to support using the Nexus as a game controller on iOS/Android?

That works right now.

Interesting! Does it work with xCloud or remote Xbox play? Iím wondering if gyro might balance out the input latency issues with online FPS games and make them worth streaming.

There is an update planned to bring uniform sensitivity for all games, if thatís what youíre referring to.

1. Easily done by setting X & Y percentage separately for Thumbstick Sensitivity, for both HIP and ADS.
2. Easily done by setting Y Scale percentage, for both HIP and ADS.

If youíre referring to universal sensitivity across games, as above that will be added soon. I canít recall seeing this option yet.

We are going for a soft launch and will be linking to a unpublished store page here on the forum first next week. Assuming the shipments coming in to our store are on time, the plan in to open Wednesday morning. Stock, is, of course, limited.

What timezone?

On PC - I believe you can set this up with reWASD.

On console - Nexus emulates a controller, so the turn speed limitations would make it impossible. I have asked previously about keyboard/mouse emulation for the Nexus, Iím not sure if thatís possible either.

This is possible with reWASD as well. This is how I prefer to play. If the community shows enough interest it may happen through a proprietary XIM software as well, or maybe even an app so consoles can utilize it. I would imagine the app might be a bit of a stretch, but its what I personally am hoping for.

As far as flick stick, this can't be done unless the mouse emulation happens through XIM. If you do it through rewasd it will recognize the motion layered on the stick as a single input. So reWASD will turn both the stick and motion to flick stick.

Sorry if this has already been asked but I just looked at the user guide and it only mentions connection for a ps4 not ps5. For now i'm just hoping to play ps4 games on my ps5 (i know playing ps5 games will require other methods like a beloder), will I be able to use my ps5 with the nexus for this? Thanks!

Yes, you can still play ps4 games with nexus on ps5, but im pretty sure you need ps4 controller for it to work. It doesnt work with dualsense.

to play ps4 games 2nd gen ps4 controller, the one with the light bar. To play ps5 games you will need to do remote play or use the beloader. You can search these things

Welcome to the community. XIM NEXUS has the same system related to this as XIM APEX. It will work with a "speciality controller" for some games, but, for others you will need to use something like Beloader for a PC based Remote Play client.

There are Hip and ADS sub-configs. And, 2 buttons that are by default bound to switching Configs.

Yes, iOS Manager users will notice that now you'll see the game database download size under the Download button -- because Apple feels it's critically important that it be there (even though every XIM Manager version up to this point for the last 6 years didn't have that). :)

We don't recommend using it wired since it gets in the way (physically) of motion control. But, no, it wouldn't affect the battery.

The battery is custom made for us and integrated into the controller, you can't replace it. It will last the lifetime of the controller. Make sure to charge it at least every 6 months to maintain peak battery health.

Hey I had posted a thread re: using a back button from Nexus as a shift key, like can be done with the elite controller via XB settings app.

How would something similar be done with Nexus manager?

As an example, having RB act normally, until the bottom left button on the back of nexus was pressed (programmed as the shift key), which would change RB to act as Left D Pad for example?

Also I noticed on the download pages that the Mac adapter / controller firmware have a line through them? Is that just a formatting issue, or these should not be used?

Is there a requirement for the launch devices to have both of these firmwares updated, or it will come on latest?

Thanks!

A lightweight USB cable works fine with Motion Control. I've used UGREEN USB-A to USB-C cables since the first day of alpha testing without issue.

Yes I know you can easily just type in the same number twice.   It was just a simple QOL improvement suggestion.  The less typing or clicking the better for everyone.

Almost every other app in existence that has a seperate X-Y adjustment (or length/width like picture resizing) has an option to link them so setting one sets both.  It's literally a checkbox or chainlink icon.   I'm surprised simple stuff like this just isn't automatically considered.

It wasn't, but thanks for the reply.  I'm just referring to a box that links X/Y boxes so dragging/setting one automatically sets the other.  Like when resizing pictures and you want the ratio for length/width to be the same.

First question was regarding the motion aim (hip vs ads) as well as thumbstick sensitivities (X vs Y).  Both values are set separately.  For people who want them to always be the same, it would be cool to lock them together so you only have to set one.  Clarification... I'm not wanting motion and stick sensitivities to be locked/set together.  Referring to the specific values in both areas separately.  Mockups below.

Second question was regarding the motion sensitivity itself.  What if we want separate X/Y values for HIP or ADS, not just a single value?

Note:  I have not seen the actual Nexus manager for myself yet so I don't know what's in the Expert settings.

Yes, good suggestion. That would be easy to add since it really is just a UI thing. I'll add it to the improvements list. Thanks!

Motion has a separate Y-Scale accessible via Expert mode. By default it's set to 50%. Stick wasn't done this way since separate X/Y is what people are generally used to (as all ingame settings are like this). But, doing the lock is a good idea.

Iím really loving the controller. Playing everyday with it. I am a lot better with mouse and move controller but i enjoy this more and now i can fly helicopters in bf2042. I would like to also use motion in the helicopter but that is not working yet.

Is there a way to use motion for the X, y and z axis in the future? That would be so awesome in a helicopter.

Can you tell us what sort of mapping you'd expect?

Maybe i should make a picture for better understanding but i will try this first.

You hold the controller horizontally. Pitch up and down on the controller is the same as right tumbstick up and down.
Roll left and right the controller is the same as the right tumbstick left and right.
Yaw left and right the controller is the same as the left tumbstick left and right.

This would really help me be more accurate in planes and helicopters.

Ok, this is very helpful, thank you. We want to add special versions of Configs that enable vehicles better so having these mappings help. The only concern is yaw as there will be drift which is normally corrected with the aiming stick, but, won't be in this case.

I’d love to try a config similar to that for helis in bf4. However my case is a little more complex:

I fly veteran so when I pull down on my right stick, my heli pitches up (and pushing RS up pitches down.) I’ve had some good fun playing with a config where gyro is inverted so gyro movement is ‘normal’ for pitching up and down. Cancels out the right stick inversion so when I point up, my heli reticule points up.

Personally I’d love if possible to be able to invert the gyro for the right stick but obviously keep yaw as described by Juroz. I could change my right stick settings in game if that is not possible but after 8+ years of piloting I’d have to relearn some serious muscle memory, plus I feel more connected to the game when I pull down RS to pitch up as it is similar to flight stick mechanics.

I’d be very happy to beta test whenever/if this feature becomes available.

Even if you don’t manage this at some point, thanks -  I can’t imagine playing controller without motion now I’ve tried the Nexus.

Silly question... I want to keep my Apex connected for games I want to use KB/M input and simultaneously have the Nexus connected for games I prefer to use that with.

Is there any way to make this happen, either by splitting the controller into both adapters and combining the adapters to the Xbox?  Or better have the Nexus adapter work with both Apex and Nexus?  If not this would be a cool nice to have.  I don't want to have to keep swapping adapters depending on which XIM I want to use.

Silly question... I want to keep my Apex connected for games I want to use KB/M input and simultaneously have the Nexus connected for games I prefer to use that with.

Iím on the PS5 and the nexus work very well with the Apex. My connection is Beloader, extension cable, Xim Apex, Apex Hub with mouse, keyboard and Nexus manager plugged into the hub with a DS4 controller plugged into the Nexus manager.

They are both on simultaneously and functioning properly because they have the same in game settings (Battlefield 2042).

The only issue that I have is some time the Nexus donít connect when I boot up (Nexus light be blinking red). I think this is more of a sequence problem and not a power issue. I think the Nexus try to connect before the Apex. Iím not sure but the fix is simple.

I make sure the controller is off and close the Nexus app. Then I unplug the connection between the Apex and extension cable to disconnect power to both Xim devices.

Then I reconnect, turn on controller, let controller and manager connect, open app, connect controller to app and the hiccup is gone.

I donít know if the Apex and Nexus was meant to work together. I donít know if using them together is damaging either one of them. Maybe someone with more knowledge to the inner working of Xim can explain.

Try the connection I described and see if it work for you. This wasnít discovered by me but by another user here which I think is an Xbox user. He started a post on it about 1 or 2 weeks ago. Anyway, good luck and I hope this help.

Would it be possible In the future to add support for other gyro controllers using the nexus as the driving controller?

IE. you would connect a usb c hub to the nexus adapter, then have your first party controller for authentication and then say a joycon using the XIM software for nexus gyro.

Like how apex letís you use most mice, the nexus would let you use other gyro controllers?

Iíve been wanting to try keyboard left hand and gyro in the right. ( never been great with bottom controller buttons so keyboard would be easier in that respect. )
