what does the inherit option do on the ads page of the manager?

It inherits the Movement, Actions and Analog settings of the HIP page. Untick the box to see what it does.

Inherit means that ADS will use the same Actions, Movement and Analog settings as HIP. Deselecting Inherit allows you to set them separately, e.g instead of WASD on ADS, you could set movement to IJKL.

The reason to do this is for things like binding Sprint to W on HIP. That may break ADS, so you can use a different setup of keybinds to remove Sprint from ADS.

Or you could enable SAB only on ADS for the AA stickiness while shooting, but not on HIP so SAB doesn't break Sprint.

There are lots of similar use cases for not using Inherit. For example, I swap the sticks for wheel menu navigation in AUX configs.

In short, it basically copies all your button binds and everything over to your ADS config.
