Title: i feel aim stutter when using off sync on apex legend
Post by: former on 04:10 AM - 09/08/19
em using 16k dpi, 1000hz on mouse, 500hz on xim (i tried 1000hz on xim too but my mouse doesnt support 1000hz always lol and have same problems [g pro wireless]) common / default sync is best for me but off sync feels more responsive and fast just imo. but anyone resolved or dont have this problems on off sync?

That's normal at very high DPI values when using Sync Off. Either drop the DPI, or add 3 or so Smoothing.

I just picked up the G Pro myself a few days ago. 16,000 dpi does feel a little crazy with Sync off. I hope to have more time trialing it later in the week. You may want to try around 12,000 dpi though 1st and then work your way up. It may take some getting used to. I will say Aim Assist felt really good at 16,000 dpi in BO4. But man, it's a little jittery for sure.

Once again though, I'm not sure if you're having Jitter issues (like me) or stutter issues? There's a lot of miss communication around jitter and stutter in the forum.

The G Pro wireIess stuttered at 16k and 12k both for me with sync off. I don't experience this with my G502 or G pro wired.

I think it has to do with it being wireIess, or possibIy the hero sensor. Hero sensors have 0 smoothing Iike mercury sensors, whiIe Iogitech 3366 sensors have the 2 frames smoothing across aII DPI ranges. Other sensors have tons of smoothing past specific dpi ranges.

Does it take away from anything if I put hip/aim smoothing to 3? It fixed the issue...

Just remember that smoothing can have effects on the 1:1 and for me personally I've had it break AA as well.

Smoothing on HIP is fine. Smoothing at low values can also slightly increase Aim Assist in some games.

High values of Smoothing arenít recommended but 3 wonít adversely affect aim, if at all.

Iím learning a lot, I appreciate your kindness/help. I do have one question, currently sync is default, but SAB is 0%,  is there a benefit of SAB being completely off vs 0%?

SAB at 0% still has some effect. SAB at Off is disabled.
