Title: PERFECT Apex Legends Settings Using Advanced controls
Post by: Oldmanclutch606 on 03:41 PM - 07/23/19
Hi All,
Since the release of Season 2 I was having major issues with AA and the ADS just simply feeling sticky. I tried Disables and Oculus Mikki's and just couldn't get the feel right.

THIS CONFIG IS THE CLOSEST THING TO NO MOUSE ACCELERATION (PC feel) and it limits the sticky feeling from AA.  Averaging 5-10 kills every match...this feels amazing!! Been two days on this and got 20 wins already with this config.

Xbox Gamertag:  oldmanclutch606 (feel free to message me....always trying to find fellow xim''ers to get them dubs with)

Mouse:  3200 DPI, 1000 Hz

In Game Advanced Settings:
These settings are based on moving the bar all the way to the left and moving the bar to the right the number of times indicated.
Deadzone: click 1 to the right
Outer threashold:  click 1 to the right
Response Curve:  click 10 to the right
Target Compensation:  ON

Yaw Speed:  Maxed to the right
Pitch Speed:  maxed to the right
Turning Extra Yaw:  None - all the way left
Turning Extra Pitch:  None - all the way left
Turning Ramp-up time:  None - all the way left
Turning Ramp-up delay:  None -  all the way left

ADS Yaw Speed:  Maxed to the right
ADS Pitch Speed:  maxed to the right
ADS Turning Extra Yaw:  None - all the way left
ADS Turning Extra Pitch:  None - all the way left
ADS Turning Ramp-up time:  None - all the way left

Should it also run with PS4? What FOV do you use?

FOV:  104

Yes, this config will absolutely work on PS4.  Might have to adjust XIM sensitivity but you should do that regardless as sensitivity is personal preference.

THIS CONFIG IS INCREDIBLE!!

Season 2 has been rough...I haven't been able to find a good config, AA bubble has been killing me.  This config tips through AA.

Great job Clutch - PERFECTION!

First of all, thanks for the config!

Has anyone tried to tweak it for ps4? I tried, but it was not very comfortable.
I still use the old config oculus mikki(he's new config is also for xbox and also work bad for ps4)

Post by: Lucifalic on 04:22 AM - 07/26/19
Yes tried it last night on ps4 and had a hard time with it. Lowered the sens and messed around some but was just off some. There were some good things about it for sure but felt twitchy sometimes. No problem with the aa bubble though. I play at a different fov though and all of the high pdi builds I have tried kinda feel this way

Regardless thanks for the share and if I find anything more out (for me) Iíll share that. Cheers

For those on PS4, you could try increasing the deadzone one or two clicks to the right.
Also, are you experiencing jittery feeling on HIP, ADS, or both?

Hey mate. Do you have advice how to best set up the sensitivity? As I canít ever do it right. I also donít use whole mouse and have to wrist aim due to of not having enough space on my desk. Using Logitech wireless charging Matt with G903. So far I am using common on hip with 4.30 and ads default with 8.50. Still feels a little off as my tracking is off a bit. Thanks

I used this on ps4 w a minor tweak, instead of default sync i used common and bumped sab to 200. Straight lasering people, really like how the tracking feels w this config overall A+ i had similar settings to these before.

Lukino,  I try for a 1:1 feeling with HIP and ADS, meaning my movements are equal between the two.

You could trying the PSA method. See link below. There are a lot of YouTube tutorials on how to do it.

The cool thing about the advanced settings is that you can use the pitch and yaw for hip and ads for a more customizable Aim Assist feel as it directly affects it. If the game was trained using these advanced controls it would be much easier for people to customize their experience. Right now if you were to go anything below in game 7/7 sensitivity it limits your pitch speeds a great deal. With these options it allows better fine tuning of aim assist especially for people that want to play with 500hz and below. I wrote in a previous post about turn sensitivity in advanced having a direct affect on Aim Assist... another thing you can perform ďhalf clicksĒ by using the analog stick and gently sliding the values.

I tweaked config a little bit as well. Adjusted ADS to...
Works great!  Left everything else the same.
ADS:
Sensitivity: 7.5
Synchronize:  Default
Y/x Ratio: 1.0
Steady Aim: 0
Boost:  0
Ballistic Curve:  None
SAB:  200

This actually works incredibly well! Solves a lot of AA problems. I had to tone down the app sensitivity because I was able to do 360s/720s with mouse swipes.

Sorry for confusion but my original setting for DPI was wrong as I play this config at 3200 DPI on this config.

I modified original post to reflect the change. Sorry for any confusion.

Hi,

if i use a G13 (which has a Joystick what i use for movement), do i have to use the SAB100 on ADS or not?

Just an Information: Your Screenshots are not correct:
Deathzone on the Shots is 0 / in the Thread you say 1 click right
Responce-Curve in the Screenshot is 10 / in the Thread you say 11 to the right
Would be cool if you can clearfy which is right, Screenshot or Thread...:-)
Thanks!

Thx!

Simulate Analogue Behaviour was introduced to obfuscate digital movement (Fortnite was kicking non-controller players by crude detection of keyboard movement). It will make analogue movement less accurate.

Ok, sorry, but i am new to Xim Apex - does that mean that i dont have to use SAB when i use the G13 analog stick for movement?

And just for my understanding:
what would be the difference when using this config with 12000dpi (beside that fact that i have to change the sense for HIP and ADS)?

Correct, SAB is of no use if you're using an analogue stick to move.

Your mouse will track its location on the mousepad more often, you'll need to lower your sensitivity drastically and Aim Assist will feel reduced.

Start with screenshot with deadzone. After season two, my crosshair would drift without me moving mouse. I increased my deadzone by one which helped eliminate the drift. Some folks have messaged me about drift - my recommendation is to go into training and increase deadzone until drift goes away.

Response curve should be 10 to the right, I'll correct my original thread.

Thanks!

I use deadzone 0 because my mouse did not move...:-)

I use 1000Hz, 12000dpi and Sense 2 / 3 which is slower than your sense...
I will test tomorrow and give you feedback.
I the first try it feels very good...:-)

Yes. SAB is only available through the beta (https://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=79690.0). You'll need a Testflight account (https://testflight.apple.com/join/1IAp7e3i) before you can use it.

Does this config get rid of AA?  Also, you have Deadzone set to one tick to the right in the description but in the screen shot it's 0.  Which do you use?
Title: Re: PERFECT Apex Legends Settings Using Advanced controls
Post by: unknownuser on 05:28 PM - 08/13/19
I feel that max to the right on the pitch and yaw I get no aim assist, I always go 1 tick below max, or maybe it's just me I don't know. I always though that max is the equivalent of having 8 in game sens. which has no aim assist.

Also, could you explain why you went with the amount of outer threshold that you did? Wouldn't you want to push that as far out as possible so that you don't reach max turn speed as quickly?

How did you pick the top 4 settings before reaching the hip and ads settings (related to in-game settings). Just curious
Title: Re: PERFECT Apex Legends Settings Using Advanced controls
Post by: Oldmanclutch606 on 05:48 PM - 08/22/19
Outer threshold won't affect this config as I don't use pitch or yaw.  Outer threshold setting determines when pitch and yaw take effect.

As far as the first four settings, I read what effect each setting has on joystick. My goal was to do two things; as little acceleration as possible AMD limit AA bubble.

Why does this not feel smooth ads ? Like when I ads left to right it's like a stop and go sorta aiming lol like it's not smooth as just having no advanced look on should of not even tried this 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ messed up my muscle memory lol by having to swipe more

Enjoy!

This says the Deadzone should be 1 to the right. But in the imgur picture provided, the Deadzone is actually maxed to the left. Which one is correct?

I feel that max to the right on the pitch and yaw I get no aim assist, I always go 1 tick below max, or maybe it's just me I don't know. I always though that max is the equivalent of having 8 in game sens. which has no aim assist.

Iím trying 2 ticks below max on pitch and yaw

On PS$ I can reccomend sync being off, youll need to have your sens around 37 (12000 dpi) hip and 25 ads.

There's a video on youtube by occulus mikki, it's great

Deadzone 2 clicks to the right feels better when following targets...

You can test it in the training with the moving targets, it easier to follow them.
I even can play deadzone 0 and nothing is moving, but deadzone 2 feels better then 0 or 1.

Test it, maybe it helps...:-)

For XBox settings, these are as good as you can get.  Iíve been using them over a week with a lower sensitivity to fit my style absolutely shooting lasers.  Definitely check these out on XBox if you want a lower AA profile.

For those asking about deadzone, I recommend playing with your deadzone as far left as possible. Being xbox and ps4 controllers are made so cheaply, oftentimes your cursor will drift if deadzone is at zero. Which is why I play one click to the right.

This config is where it's at, especially on the xbox. I changed my settings to default for both.

This config rips through AA...I recommend to all. My KD has skyrocketed since using this config.

Liking the settings! I have a couple questions.

Why do you use common on HIP and default on ADS?
do you find 100 SAB on ADS helps or is it best to turn both HIP and ADS off?
Title: Re: PERFECT Apex Legends Settings Using Advanced controls
Post by: ItZ_Me_Not_You on 03:37 PM - 09/20/19
In the 1st page you say ADS - default sync but in your config the sync is common? What is the correct for the advanced controls?
Title: Re: PERFECT Apex Legends Settings Using Advanced controls
Post by: Oldmanclutch606 on 05:40 PM - 09/20/19
Turn SAB off on both.

As far as common and default, I've found zero difference between the two. Use whichever you prefer. My last posting with config code is what I'm currently using.

Thanks Clutch for this!

This config is great! Tweaked it to my liking:

12k dpi
1k polling
Common sync
3 hip
2 ads
Same advanced setting posted (I think this is the trick to a snappy feeling config so good job!)

SAB OFF on both

Feels very snappy and pc like.

I believe the key is the use of the advanced settings!
Title: Re: PERFECT Apex Legends Settings Using Advanced controls

Way better config than the others Apex Legends posts. (by faaaaar)

Better Recoil manage / Tracking / No shackin ADS / Better Hip ;
However Scoping (+ x4) is pretty irrelevant, so you need to have a backup config if you want to snipe well. (or a Dpi switch button on mouse for +1/2k dpi instant)

Is it just me or does the turn speed cap seem to increase when using the advanced settings?

Also why do you use 6 smoothing on hip if youíre using common sync?  From my understanding is that you should only need to use smoothing if using off sync.

Not u ; the "normal" 6-7 sense on Hip/ADS (for keepin AA) have a pretty low base turn speed ; by using advanced settings and max this stats u drastically increase this amount.

But, is it good in fact ? Being locked at turn speed on 7sense means already a @#$% high mouse sense.

not sure I follow what your saying..
i mean when using 7/7 normal settings there is a speed cap on how fast you can turn. Then using advanced settings it seems it may get increased a tad so you can turn slightly faster before hitting the cap.

AA bubble virtually doesnt exist with this config.
The advanced settings are key.

You can turn off AA by running 8/8 sensitivity in game, or disabling target compensation if using advanced settings.

If the goal of all these settings is to minimize aim assist then why not use 8/8 sensitivity to get rid of aim assist all together?

Surely aim assist helps to some degree.

higher dpi should be less aim assist people need to know what sensor they have in their mouse if it adds smoothing past a certain dpi ur only making aim assist stronger an playing with input lag

in all honesty to me all the dpi feel the same aside from aim assist difference want less aim assist you more dpi want less aim assist lower it. g502 doesnt add any smoothing at any dpi so your fine on any dpi. my redragon mouse adds 32 frames of smoothing past 2000dpi an i can definitely feel it make aim assist stronger and 32 frames of smoothing is 6.4ms input lag. which as we know input lag adds aim assist strength hint 125hz having the strongest aim assist (8ms input lag)

High DPI helps you break the aim assist bubble easier thats all.
