Title: The Division 2: Configuration for ARs/SMGs/Rifles/Shotguns (WIP)
Post by: DontWakeDad on 01:08 PM - 03/11/19
PREFACE
Greetings everyone!
This configuration is based off of The Division 1 ST. It needs a little work for snipers, but I was mainly using ARs/SMGs/Rifles and Shotguns during the beta. I wanted to put this up before the release of the game so it's a work-in-progress configuration and I will continue to update it.

PREVIEW

Here is just an example of the snap aiming, I wanted to upload a video to display more of the config but ran into some troubles.

Sensitivity: 17.25
Sync: Default

Explanation:
I wanted to eliminate any of the micro-stuttering that happened when I lowered my dead zone to zero. I know I could just add smoothing but that adds input delay and I don't like that. I wanted to have smooth aiming without the delay, so I went the route of a higher dead zone with a manual curve boost to the initial movement to act as if there is no dead zone. All I did was boost the 0 in the curve to 1.0, this worked out surprisingly well! I am not going to add a picture since you can't even notice the differences.
I changed my X/Y to 1.05 to give a slight recoil adjustment help, but I didn't want to sacrifice too much accuracy.

HIP:
Sensitivity: 40
Sync: Default

Explanation:
The Hip has no curve, a bit higher sensitivity simply for turning faster. This is still much of a work in progress. I didn't have much trouble turning or target acquisition going into ADS so I didn't mess with it too much in the beta.

Auto Sprint: I've added auto sprint by just hitting the movement key. To undo this, unbind "W" for the Sprint Keybind and make it whatever you'd like. If you keep this, make sure you turn toggle sprint OFF

If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to ask and post!

HAVE FUN & ENJOY!

Thanks I will give it a shot tomorrow. I noticed your dpi is very low I had mine in the g502 set to max 12k. I will lower it down and try yours

Not super familiar with manually editing a config. What exactly do I need to do with the code you have listed? Any help or directions on where to find a tutorial for that would be awesome. Plan on hopping on tonight when it releases in my time zone. Thanks!

I would definitely try it at 3250 since this is what it’s created on and will typically work best, but its also the most comfortable dpi for me. If you enjoy 12k then you can always use a converter to try the settings on your dpi with http://www.csgosetup.com/dpi-calculator/

Click the edit button on the top right (pencil), then press the 3 little dots under the configuration’s title to expand the copy/paste section. Press paste in that section and it should work for you. If there’s an error you may need to update the firmware.

Do you rest arm on desk and arm aim with these settings? Or do you only have your hand/wrist on desk.

I tried same sensitivity with a little higher dpi so basically the same thing and yes it's good but turning while running is really slow you gotta move arm a lot.

Just copy the in-game settings then on the xim 4 open the ballistics curve for your ADS and change the first step of 0.00 to 1.00 and you'll have the same settings.

Do you rest arm on desk and arm aim with these settings? Or do you only have your hand/wrist on desk.

I rest arm on desk, use arm for turning / target swapping and wrist for precision/tracking.

Good to see you back man, hope it works for you!

I just use sprint on my "W" and turned off toggle sprint, that way whenever I need to turn to the right or left I release "W" and it turns as if I am walking so it's pretty fast that way.

Did you update both the manager and the firmware to that version?

You stated aim sensitivity and camera at 100..but it's 0-20. Do you mean 10 or 20?

20, maxed out. Thanks for mentioning this, I copied my division 1 config template and forgot to change that part on the post. Updated original with correct values.

I think I got it working about as well as it can. Looking around isn't as fluid as like..black ops 4..but that might be the engine itself. Ie. Lack of super fast fluidity. But the code and build is sound. 💪

Firmware is 100% up to date, just tried to update and couldn't because it's already up to date. I can only imagine people using android are having the problem and iOS isn't, but I don't know what to do about that since you use PlayStore to get the app and it says it's up to date

After playing with my own config I decided to stop by and see who was fine-tuning--appreciate your inputs here. I was really curious how to curb the rather healthy amount of recoil and you're right, a little goes a long way. Small modification allowed most of the kick to get pulled out of the rifle and lmg I'm using, between those sit the smg so I'm sure that'll be strong. I like sniping in this game but the time to zoom drives me bonky so I might just let my controller bound friend deal with those and I'll just stick to more rowdy weapons.

Also, kudos on the W (or me and me with G11 hehe) take over the forward, sprint, and the boost to look. Since you drop speed no matter what when you go ADS and ADS really doesn't make any difference in max speed (at least to me) this all sits pretty well.

Looking forward to continued iterations as time goes on with the specific translator. This one is a good start for those without one and just some refinement to those who have found their own.

You are not supposed to get it from the playstore, it's a beta, you get it from the direct link to apk file:

Thanks for your config DontWakeDad, I've just bought an Xbox to play with friends, apex make it less painful.

Been using your settings since launch. They are awesome, appreciate you sharing them. Look forward to your updates!

P.S. paste works fine if your actually using the right firmware/ manager so stop saying it dosent work. He has it listed, got to “manage” in the top right of the app, then  “about” to check firmware you are currently running.

Agreed. I changed all controls but it works great and definitly am able to dominate in world tier 4 with an AR.

Thanks for sharing the set up, feels fluid and as if it's performance is in it raw state, which I like. Quick question though, are you playing with aim assist on or off? I've found it to be quite helpful actually having it enabled as I can lock and snap up to their heads

Normally I don't post in forums much, just read, gather the info I need and move on.  I haven't been having as much fun in The Division 2 as movements and aiming felt off.  I didn't enjoy sniping or semi-auto rifles as following a target was rough.
This build is game changing.  I had to mess with some of the sensitivities (I have a bit lower DPI on my G502) but this build is great.  I also added in an auxiliary for sprinting that is enabled for LShift (I prefer to hold shift and have increased sensitivity so I can turn faster) and turned the in-game Toggle to Sprint option to No.

Thank you for sharing your config.

I have few questions for you.

Q1.i use logitech g900 wireless mouse with 3250 dpi 1000 polling rate. (Do I have to change my mouse for g502 wired?)

Q2.in game setting zoom scope ( leave 5 or ?)

Q3.in xim apex setting ads x/y ( 1 or 1.05?)

Q4.in game setting ( aim assist on or off?)

I just wanna make sure that I am not doing wrong.

And again thank you for sharing your division 2 config.

You stated aim sensitivity and camera at 100..but it's 0-20. Do you mean 10 or 20?
20, maxed out. Thanks for mentioning this, I copied my division 1 config template and forgot to change that part on the post. Updated original with correct values.

Hi

What happened to Division 1 config for  Xim  Apex  ? You dropped plan to share ?
