Title: mad catz is back
Post by: fe7felix on 04:06 PM - 12/08/18
hey team.

mad catz came back and launched upgraded versions of their mice!
i always loved that brand and played with r.a.t. mice for years.
i  tempted to buy the r.a.t.8+ , do you think that thing will work for xim4 or apex?

thanx in advance

Donít see why not. PMW 3389 and onboard memory. Should work fine with either XIM.
Bit heavy though.

I loved my R.A.T. 7, back in the day, but I think there are better options now.

Edit: Just had a look at the R.A.T. X3. Now thatís an interesting rodent. It has an analogue scroll wheel for variable strafing speeds and swappable teflon/ceramic skates. If I didnít own the Swiftpoint Z, Iíd be very tempted. No news on pricing or release date yet though.

It's worth keeping in mind that RAT mice have not been compatible with XIM in the past - they seem to rely on PC drivers for full functionality. Hopefully that's changed, but be aware of this.
