Title: [RML'S Curve] PUBG Config (TOP NA & EU TPP/FPP PLAYER)
Post by: GitGud on 10:02 AM - 08/28/18
OUTDATED. I do not play PUBG anymore. Got better games to play that don't have useless developers.

I have been using this config since the release of the official PUBG ST and have only had to do minor changes to it over time.

I have been #1 basically every season on NA and EU in both game modes.
These settings are my personal favourites. I use RML's curve on the PUBG config to combat the timed acceleration and the slow turn speed limits. Just tweaked the sensitivity and key-bindings to my liking.

Not everyone might like this but in my opinion it is the best. It is also a good base for key bindings so you can adjust sensitivity to your liking. The sensitivity is optimised so the XIM doesn't reach the turn speed limit all the time (flashing red)

I run a 3rd config page for Hip Aim so it's important that hip aim is kept as mouse forward button, this button also doubles as hold breath while in ADS but only if you use Plan B. You can change this but make sure you tell the 3rd config the new button you changed it to.

I keep the settings on a Google Document so when I make any changes it will update across all my threads, replies etc
You can paste it easily using the Paste function on XIM Manager app.

The mouse I use is a Rival 600. I use it with 12k DPI and 1000hz polling. I use 0 smoothing but if you experience jitter I suggest turning it up by editing the config in the xim manager app.

Instructions
Copy the whole config on your phone
Go on the XIM Apex Manager app
Make sure Expert Mode is enabled
Create new config
Click on the 3 dots ...
Click on Paste

I know it was mentioned before but is left DZ supposed to be 0 or is that a typo for 10? Thanks again for your efforts.

Yeah it is meant to be 0. Left stick is for movement.

Forgive my ignorance, I'm still learning the nuances of the apex, but can you please explain why there is a 3rd config for Hip Aim? Isn't HIP config the first config you set up? I didn't realize there was a need to configure a separate HIP aim since hip shooting requires no special button presses other than moving your mouse and firing.

Sorry for the confusion. Hip Aim = Targeting/Soft Aim. I better amend that lol

used your settings a long time ago... loved them in a fight... but couldn't get used to looting.... if I don't have mouse wheel left/right what do I use for left and right in the inventory... also just checking if anything changed for you after the 1.0 release??

Sorry if this has been posted before. I look through the stickies but couldn't find anything but I hope it's possible. I bought a xim4 shortly before hte apex was released....( Wish I knew) Still trying to get my usage out of it before I upgrade to the apex. Is there any way to convert ST's like this into settings for the xim4. I used to use the lithe 3.0 back when the game first came out but the latest one has me feeling retarded while I play. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

any shot u could post a version without the hip aim entirely? everytime I touch the button mapped to Y (I use controller preset  B) it brings up the third person aim. do you know a way to fix that? Other than that this works amazing! Thanks man!

Apologies for last post.  I didn't know you could just swipe to the next screen on the expert configuration screen.  I was able to turn off the 3rd screen.  Thanks for the config GitGud!

Hi, thanks for sharing this awesome setup with us.
I really like the setup in terms of aiming.
The only issue I have come across is while using my mouse scroll wheel, I like to map my scroll wheel to up and down on D-Pad.
I think you have mapped it to right joystick. Everytime I scroll in my inventory it's jumps two places.
What I need to change to map the scroll wheel to d pad.

The only problem I have with this is that, for example, I was hip aiming because someone was around a corner I was next to, and all of a sudden they came sprinting from behind the corner and across my screen, even with my hip sensitivy on 10 in-game and 500 on the app, it was still too slow to track and he managed to turn and kill me. Is there anyway of increasing the sensitivity in some of the more advanced settings because if I was using a controller, I would've easily been able to track him while running?

Unfortunately it's a limitation of the game, you got to know when to switch back to normal hip aiming rather than targeting.

Just use this to adjust your sensitivity to your DPI.  Put in his DPI and sent, then your DPI... it'll tell you what to put your sensitivity at.

Thanks for posting and helping first-time XIM and Mouse/Keyboard users.

I have a Logitech G502.

1) What do you use to parachute with this config?

2) Where in the XIM Apex Manager app can I see/edit the config for looting?

3) Looting seems like it will be the biggest learning curve. Any advice for creating an aux config (maybe to use the arrow keys and mouse buttons)?

Appreciate any help.

MrDood,

1) you do not need a separate setting to parachute in PubG. The only game I believe parachuting is an issue was the BlackOut beta because it was a completely different sens. than the in game aiming system.

2)Looting is still kinda slow with the setup I use but its not terrible, In the apex manager under your button assignments you can click on the 3 dots and you will see a Primary/secondary option.
For me I use "Tab" for inventory and on my primary I have the bumpers bound to Alt/CapsLock for Camera and hold breath/3rd person aim. Under secondary I bind the bumpers to Left and right arrow keys and the Up/down on the Dpad to Up/Down arrow keys. This allows me to fully navigate my inventory using the arrow keys. And the quick scroll will be bound to your Mouse buttons.

Another thing alot of people do because the looting system can get bugged and keep autoscrolling to the top of the list is bind your mouse wheel Scroll Up/Down to your right stick. This is done by clicking on the 3 dots under the Movement setting.

3) I havent had a need to create an Aux config for looting, One reason I dont do this is because it would require you to bind some key to trigger that Config, and I seem to find myself always getting shot in the @#$% while Im trying to loot someone. I find it hard enough to close my inventory and find cover the last thing I want is to get stuck in a Aux config because I forgot to toggle off of it back to the Hip Profile.

Hope this Helps

Maybe it's just me but I just realized that by unchecking the Inherit box under your ADS profile and binding your left bumper to shift while removing shift from your sprint key. This allows your to use shift for both sprint and hold breath just like on PC. This is for those that use Type B.

I'm not sure if by doing this any other behavior of the profile is changed but I find this makes it a whole lot easier to hold breath while sniping/ADS.

This may be old news but I figured I would share anyways.

No issues with that. You can't sprint while in ADS so it's not affecting any functions.

Hi,

Thank you for the profile.
I am having a few problems:

Free look is amazing and pc like however when aiming ( hip or ads) the sensitivity goes way down. This makes it really weird because when you are running and all of sudden your mouse slows way down my brain cant compensate, my brain expects the scope to be way over there but it lags behind due to this sensitivity drop.

Is there any way to make aim down sight and hip aim AS fast as when you just run and look around? I had mixed success by upping AA to 10 but there is still delay while it actually reaches top speed.

P.S my response rate in xim settings is default 125 mhz

Many thanks   :D

The higher sensitivity is a step in the right direction. Sadly the acceleration is still there though and makes it unnecessarily difficult to aim. I get pretty good at the game if it's all that I play (I get used to it). It reminds me of playing Gears of War. I feel like I have to retrain my brain every time I take a break from it.

Then I go play Blackout and the controls feel super smooth and it's literally pick up and play, everything is right with the world. It makes it really difficult to go back to PUBG sadly, I still love the game though. It's just a shiny terd unfortunately. Broken by something that would be so simple to fix.. and yet, as with everything else they typically do. Bluehole refuses to work on the real problems.

I mean come on, seriously? There excuse is "it should be hard!" What? There's hard and then there's "Let's give them no Aim Assist and let's not stop there, let's throw in some timed acceleration just to frustrate them a little more!"

The crazy thing is some of these players have gotten really good with their scuff controllers (or probably XIM's). I literally couldn't hit the side of a barn with a controller and this game, it's ridiculous! Every match I typically see someone else who feels the same. Poor guy can't hit me if I'm standing still. I juke a little and he empties his clip, only to reload and miss 90% of his second clip as well. Then I shoot him in the face and M$ makes a little extra money when the poor sap has to buy a new controller.

There you go, it's a conspiracy. They want to sell controllers!  :P

Yeah it would be nice if they actually removed acceleration from hip. When you set AA to Off it removes acceleration from ADS and Targeting but still stays on hip. Don't ask me why they are just lazy I guess. No curves feel really nice on ADS and Targeting but definitely keeping the curve on hip as you can feel the acceleration even more now with higher sens.

I have this problem when I almost near close quarter combat and I go to ADS, I'll be on target locked on until the move and then when I try to make a small adjustment to try to stay on track I over aim like crazy and then when I try to recover from over aiming, I overshoot the recovery. I get so frustrated that It stresses me the hell out. I'm not sure if the AA kicks in when I try to make these small adjustments. The best way I can describe what I'm trying to do when I attempt to recover is flick back on target, but then I over aim when I try to get back on target. I've never had this issue in other games. In Halo and Destiny when this happens I can recover easily to get back on target but this game for some reason just feel different. I'll be flicking left and right to recover that it's so bad. Could probably be that there's no aim assist but I feel with a mouse that shouldn't be a problem. I've tried lowering my sens to compensate for the overshooting but I begin to undershoot and I can't keep up while they're moving and then I get melted. Turned off AA and place it to 1, the same thing. I turn on AA and try 1-5 and same thing. Maybe its just me or my mouse (G502) but tracking is a little difficult. All other aspects of aiming are fine but it's just when I ADS in borderline close quarters is where I struggle a bit. Hopefully, someone can give me some suggestions on how I can improve on this.

R3MiX,

I love GitGud's config and will use it once the new update hits with increased sensitivity, but I too had the same struggle as you do. To get around this I currently switched to RML's simple setup and love it, but on the PTS I used a variance of GitGud's config with no AA and it was perfect.

My current live settings:
4k DPI Rival600
AA=9
Common sync
Hip=17 ADS=18
No curves.
Scopes
10
9
10
8
6
6
10
Maybe just give this a try for the time being see what you think until the new update hits. For me ever since the new ST hit, I have had issues with using curves to find a good balance of speed and control that allows me to quickly aim on to a target when using a Red Dot but also pin point my sniper when someone is head peaking me.

I will upload the PTS config today. I can't see them making anymore changes before it goes to Live. The config might need slight alteration once we get a ST retrain but I doubt it. I kinda stopped playing PUBG for the last week. Got addicted to Warface and reckon I will be staying on that. So this might be my last update to the config, but knowing me I will be back to PUBG once we get performance mode on the X.

If I remember right its something like 20 for all apart from 2x 18  4x 12  6x 10  8x 10
This config might not perform like I want it to because the ST was updated and I haven't touched the game since.

Not that I know of. It wouldn't perform the same either way as I use the sync off setting and the xim4 uses only the default sync setting.

Hello GitGud,  I've been using the same mouse as you for a while now and was wondering if you are still using the same curve on this update?  And what your apex sensitivities are for hip and ADS.  Thanks for you help on the forum.  You are a big help to everyone.

GitGud!!!

Have you updated your config??? I loved your config prior to this newest ST update for PUBG. I am finding your config feels weird now, I don't know why... I played around training mode for a while but couldn't sort out what was wrong. I then just decided to use the old ST for pubg even though is not "optimized" for the new look mechanic.

Are you looking at your config again after this new update with increased sensitivity? Let us know!

GitGud!!!

Have you updated your config??? I loved your config prior to this newest ST update for PUBG. I am finding your config feels weird now, I don't know why... Yes Gitgut, your configs have always been the best. We need you one more time!

I will put something together this weekend as got some upcoming tournaments. I believe the ST behaves a bit different after the retrain so I will probably need to change the version I did on PTS.

I love this set up and have been using the curve for a while now. My only question is about the sync type. On this it is Synchronized to ďoffĒ I was playing using common before I saw your update and it seemed to be smoother. Any reason I should be using any particular synch over another?

Iím running all high end gear so my set up is capable, just wasnít sure if having synch set to off was recommended.

Thanks !

Yeah with the new update and config V4 things are a bit wonky and I am trying to iron them out. Would love if you could share your updated in-game @gitgud!

I think he went from 800dpi to 12k so adjust sensitivity via DPI calculator.

Would be anyone able to move his config to beta last firmware? It would be sweet to recover his last version, using 3.2 now but want to test 4.0
Can't downgrade my apex do not know why...
Thanks in advance !

I am getting an error each time a paste from the Google Doc, i guess this may be due to running the beta firmware?  Did you ever manage to get it beta firmware compliant?
