Great work MRog! This is going to save a lot of mucking around tweaking intermediate values.

That said, I have no idea what function to enter into C5  :-[   (I can see the function, but algebra was never a strong point). I vaguely recall a link somewhere to a function generator, but might leave this one to the math gurus.

This is 1.0, I don't think sliders are possible in Google sheets but I plan on making tools to more easily create the curves for those that aren't fond of algebra

It's a great 1.0, the curves look silky smooth! That's very difficult to recreate manually point-by-point in Xim Manager.

thats an instant sticky!
MRog40 would it be possible to paste existing apex curve codes into A1 so you can then view/edit them?
(or an optional cell at the bottom to do this)

also im sure xim4 users would love to use this too ;)

Yes! I actually am able to do this using my old spreadsheet method, which isn't very user friendly. This is a work in progress, and I'm still writing functions for supporting that as well as some more user friendly curve creation tools.

It will exist as a separate tab on the worksheet called "View existing curves" or something, and will show the graph as well as all of the decimal values of the curve.

I also plan on eventually building a tool for curve smoothing, aka you can input an existing curve, apply regression on it, and then use that regression to build a new curve that is a smooth mathematical version of the existing. This is pretty far down the line though.

Unfortunately, I no longer have my Xim4 so wouldn't have a way to test the curves out. For now, this will be apex only.

Super cool... can't wait to play around with it.

Thank you!!

thats awesome, i already played around quite a bit with your tool and i really like it!
the new features will make it even better, really looking forward to those! :)

Here is an example of the types of curves that can easily be made and tweaked using this tool. This is a slight acceleration curve I created using the function generator in just minutes of tweaking parameters.

Made this using
Code: [Select]
Power
A      B      C      D      E
1.2    150    0.02   0      0

Code: [Select]

What do the different generator parameters stand for?
D = y axis start point (aka boost)
E = inverted x axis start point
C = change gradient?
B = C?
A = if x^1, x^2 curve and so on?

Odin, here is the equations I have used. I just kinda threw them together randomly, I plan on adding more functionality soon!

Can anyone make a curve for Siege - to have it as close as pc as possible?

This post is not for requesting curves. Come on, there's tons of R6S posts already in the Apex threads. Use the search function.

Great post MRog, thanks for sharing.

Can I ask what this is for? I've seen the feature on the dimensions but what does it do for you in game? What is the result of applying these settings?

U don't think i've looked up every tread already, even tried all kinds of stuff.There is a reason I asked here because I feel that on the main post for R6 settings are way out on the water not even close to PC feel so I was hopeful I could find one with more knowledge here!

hi, sorry for the ignorance but I did not understand how it works ... I downloaded both your sheet and the app you recommended on your phone. I have created a copy that I can modify as you described, I substitute to box A with 1.37 and to box C replace with 7.13 but nothing happens in the text sheet where I'm wrong? really excuse the ignorant question thanks in advance
possible that my phone does not go?

Has anybody come up with a curve to help with the acceleration in Apex Legends such that your turn cap isn't reached so easily with quick mouse movements.

First post here -- Sorry if this is covered anyone else.

What is Ballistic Curve? Hoping you can explain or point me in the right direction.

I'm looking for a CODAW PS4 and Xbox One Ballistic Curve set, the games turn restriction screws me over, especially when ADS on both consoles..

I'm looking for a CODAW PS4 and Xbox One Ballistic Curve set, the games turn restriction screws me over, especially when ADS on both consoles..

Do this before you even think about adding a curve:
Is your in-game sensitivity maxxed? In BO4 it should be 14 - Insane, IIRC.

As far as the slow mouse movement is concerned, you need to find your optimal sensitivity. You'll need to adjust DPI and sync until you find something that works for you. In BO4, I used Sync - off and 3200 DPI at 1000 Hz (mouse) and 500 Hz (Apex Manager).

Go into a private match and place your character with a shoulder against a wall, looking down the length of it. Then adjust your Hip sensitivity until you can flick your character 180 so that you are looking down the wall in the opposite direction. Then reverse the flick as your clockwise and counterclockwise turns will be slightly different. Finally, set your Hip sensitivity as half way between the two values.

Next, ADS and work out the sensitivity that allows you to flick ~75 whilst doing so (this is my preferred arc when aiming down the sights).
Then adjust the delay time so that ADS transitioning feels smooth.

Finally, test your new setting against bots. In BO4, I add four recruit bots, disable Special abilities/equipment and scorestreaks and play with the ICR equipped with Grip I and II (eliminates inaccuracies caused by recoil), until I can get a nuke.

This method works consistently for me, especially with CoD (which is the game I used to play 95% of the time). Make sure you do the bot training session as well, as it's no good working out your perfect sensitivities if you can't snap on target and stay there, especially in BO4 when TTK is so long.
