From my understanding in the UK customs are not due as the item is under 135. Obviously if you order from US expect $30 delivery charge or near abouts.

Yes anywhere in the EU you will pay a lot of extra costs when ordering from the US.
This is to avoid euros being exchanged to dollars.

you can calculate here how much you will be charged with
under 150 its only Value added Tax & Customs clearance fee but thats still a lot.

depends on how your country handles imports and what the threshold for additonal custom fees is
in germany you only pay 19% import tax on top as the overal price of the xim apex + shipping is below the line of when you have to pay a custom fee on top of that

How do they calculate the percentage? I mean, are they going to check the price on internet or maybe is there the receipt with the xim cost inside the package? I am from France and I think I am going to pay xim 150 altogether =(

Is it possible to check/pay this online, or will they bill you to your shipment address? What if something goes wrong and i don't get any bill, or it sends it somewhere els lol?

You would have had to get xim store to mark package as "vat to be paid by recipient only" but then customs hold it and it takes ages.

They bill a week or so after direct to shipping address

From what I have read on internet Fedex will pay fees for you, then they will ask you to pay those money back to them.

If you're from UK you are very lucky since, once you get the invoice number, you can pay directly online here https://dutyandtax.fedex.com/gb/en#/
For, me, in France is different: payements methods are BACS, Credit card via telephone call (sounds weird) and cheque. :(

Here is how it works in my country (part of EU)
1. XIM APEX 99.99$
2. Shipping FedEx international priority 65.11$
3. VAT20% on 99.99+65.11 that is another 33.02
4. FedEx local taxes to present you to the customs, and if you never did this before, believe me you will want they to do it for you as it's nightmare(atleast in my country/part of EU) 22.67$

So the total is something like 220.79$ (USD)

For all this to work, if you don't have it yet, you need to create an EORI number. This number will be needed by fedex even that they are going to do everything for you with the customs.
This EORI number is personally created for you and you need to go personally in the customs to create it.
Best is to contact fedex and ask what info they will need to do everything for you.

Dear Sir,

Indeed, importation from outside EU requires EORI number when the import is made by a company.
In your case it is not needed.
We can inform you that every import from outside EU will by tax by the customs, when the commodity value is higher than 22.
You will receive a VAT invoice in the next days regarding this import.

Thanks for your message,

Sincerely yours,
Customer Service France

This is an email from Fedex France saying that EORI is not needed, as expected, they're just going to charge taxes ;)

Got my Apex today, ordered on Friday to Germany.

Paid exactly: $136.12 / 110

That is cheaper than any other Shop that would have it.

Do you really pay tax for the delivery??
In my country swedens customs homepage they have a tax calculator, and the delivery cost, is no tax on! And no toll on stuff under aprox 150$ (1500sek)

As my username may reveal I'm from Sweden and i paid 142$for total and got my package delivered today at my work and I asked if had to pay any extra fees. Delivery guy said if the package has come this far then probably no fee. However our toll authority homepage says otherwise. No extra toll on stuff over 1500KR (182$) approximately. But we are obliged to pay Vat and FedEx administration fee. So I am expecting a bill in my mail shortly 😐
