Interesting. Gonna give this a go tonight.
Looking forward to your tweaks. The one that got me scratching my head is how you have your left and right buttons on the mouse for looking L/R and have the snipe button for shooting. I just can't get pass the thought of even trying that. It'll just feel so awkward. LOL.
Interesting...how is this different than the one in the Library?
Dude I kufn love this. Improved my running around corners dramatically !! Thank you RML.
I registered this account to say thank you. Youre setup has gotten me multiple 3-5+ kdrs in iron banner today against premades sometimes.
I dropped my dpi to 8000, polling to 1000 on my g502 and just flat out copied your setup. We myst be using a similar mousepad because it works perfect for me.
I have been lost and so frustrated with destiny and the xim(xim is great but it was terrible out the box with destiny unlike cod) i was about to shelf it until i found this
This really is great
Thanks alot, I'm a ximer for many years now and never took a look to ballistic curves, seemed to be difficult to understand, but now it's more clear. I'm gonna try yours for Destiny and Hardline and see what happens :) I've learned a lot.
Just a question, how do you launch the super with ONE button ? Is it thanks to bind your mouse with macro ?
And I was totally in fog concerning sub-configs, and thanks to you I think I understood how it works and possibilities you get with.
@#$% another monster informative thread by probably the best poster on this site. You guys need to thank your lucky stars this guy is here for these tid bits of gold.
Although if I had to go through that much to play that @#$% game I think I would take two chop sticks to my eye sockets. Ugh...
Thank you RML for your settings! Is there any way to recharge the Nav with a wall charger? And does anyone found a solution for faster strafing in Destiny (moving left and right)?I find strafing to be useless in this game because of the weapons aim assist and hitboxes. I still strafe, don't get me wrong but it just doesn't help out significantly IMO unlike other games. Maybe it's just me or lag but I've had a few times where I'm strafing like a mad man and I end up the one being killed.

I won't be upgrading till IOS is fixed. But I will when I can ;)
Yes, I may not use it till it supports wireless NAV and IOS.
Here you go man, from left to right.
HIP - 0,6.5,13,19.5,26,32.5,39,46,53.5,61,70,79,88.5,100 to the end.
ADS - 0,7.5,15.5,23.5,31.5,39,45.5,50.5,55.5,60.5,65.5,70.5,75.5,80.5,85.5,90.5,95.5,100 to the end.
Have fun with HOW :)
Uggggh. Even with your settings, I hate the slow turning in Destiny. :(
Just a general question though: I see you're using an 8,000 DPI mouse. I'm sitting here using a 5,600 DPI Razer Naga 2012. Does a higher DPI mouse make a big difference? I assume it would just require less movement of the mouse to reach the turn limit in the game, correct?
the autoaim completely changing your sensitivity when near a target is a huge hassle in destiny, i'm trying to overcome that at the moment
thanks for the unique ballistics curve for ADS, i never would have thought to use that
on of these days i'll set up custom running and vehicle curves but i'm too lazy
.....also has anyone else noticed the xim4 acting badly since the house of wolves release? i occasionally lose control and my character will just spin in place, i have to completely reset the xim4 and re-plug my KBM to make it work
^ What XIM4 firmware are you running and what phone are you using?
Ok, I'm sure there are several people with that phone around that could help if needed. If you're using the latest firmware and manager, which I believe to be 5/25/15, then it won't work with any of the posted curves right now in the forum. They changed the code with the latest build in order to add some new features. My curves are setup with the 2/12/15 firmware and manager.
So I am on
Manager Version: 4.00.20141114
Firmware Version: 4.00.20141114
First of all thank you for your helpful post. I'm a new Xim4 user (for mainly for Destiny) and I was lost about how to configure my Xim for this game. I have 1 question. In you initial post you said that we must have a keyboard plugged in the XIM. I want to use the PS NAV controller. So how do I setup my Xim if I have the keyboard in place of the PS NAV controller?
Thank in advance!

Ok, cool, so the curves will work for you. Make sure you click on the "select" box above the code. That should highlight everything that you need to copy/paste.
If you're having other problems, such as how to copy/paste with your particular phone, then let us know and maybe someone here can help further.First of all thank you for your helpful post. First of all, you're welcome. :)
If you're using your NAV wired then you will need a usb hub. Simply plug your NAV and KB into the hub and then plug the hub into slot TWO of the XIM4. I would recommend this method for all NAV users as KB are very useful for changing your game configs (primary's). They are also very useful for setting up multi-key functions like I did with Destiny.
If you're using your NAV Wirelessly. Once the NAV is paired with your XIM4, unplug the XIM4 from your console, then plug the KB into slot TWO and plug the XIM4 back into the console. Done!

i didnt think to just make the curve more aggressive for ADS to combat the aim assist slow-on-target, i'll give that a shot, since i can aim just fine at long ranges right now and i barely move my mouse then anyway
another issue; what do you guys use for switching from xim4 input back to PC input? i use xim4 commander and a belkin transfer cable currently but after some hours of playing it'll stop working and i have to force kill the xim commander because it crashes my windows explorer along with itself, in addition to unplugging and re plugging my xim4 and controller, not good
HOWEVER i tried using a usb switching hub to swap video and usb inputs but sometimes when i switch, the xim4 goes brain dead (solid white light instead of a pulsing red as normal)
I tried out your setup for a few days and my old habits are just to in grained to get used to your setup. Using the bindings for right joystick and holding down for sprint was just very difficult for me to get used.
It did feel more natural and consistent. I might try it again and increase the sensitivity.
Hello,
Thank you so much for putting your time into this. It has definitely helped improve the overall game play. I am still having a few issues that I am not quite sure how to address.
1) I am still having troubles turning around tight corners and around in general. I am finding I have to swipe my mouse pretty far to turn around completely even with your settings. I have turned up the sensitivity a bit from your default settings but it still seems too slow if someone comes behind you and you have to turn instantly. Do you have any methods to make turning feel more like COD or Counter Strike?
2) Can you elaborate on how to get the vehicle config to work properly? I can't seem to get it to stick properly.
Thanks,
And if someone would want to use your Destiny setup but with a 12000 dpi setting, how would that convert ?
WARNING: As of 6/09/15, You must create Settings (Sub Configs) in the following order for this to work properly. This is an issue that hopefully will be resolved soon.Something change on 6/9 or are you just saying you figured this out on 6/9 :)
- Primary, HIP (already created)
- Sub, ADS (already created)
- Sub, Running (you create)
- Sub, Vehicle (you create)
Hey RMl... first off great guide. I ditched my old config just to try yours. I wanted to ask for us diehard keyboard users... Would this setup still be functional if we just use a kb/mouse setup. I personally don't have a sony move navi. If so how would we go about matching yours to ours?
RML last time to told me to hold off on upgrading the firmware till AA is here. Is it safe to say now is a good time to upgrade?
Can anyone help with the difference between boost and sensitivity? I presume boost is more the initial acceleration, I find higher boost for running and vehicles to be better.
How do you find your profile works for sniping? You said that you changed the curve to combat aim assist but a lot of the people out there say you want high aim assist on snipers as it increases effective hit box size.
Thank you for this guide! I just got my Xim4 and used this guide to get my setup running.Congrats bro!! ;D
@#$%, Lambeau that's some very precise shots there. Beast!
I'm a bit confused... I don't seem to have the "turn assist" option? I'm using the Android app.
Any help would be apreciated!
I just got the xim 4 for my ps4 and playing destiny. I need help getting the settings to run smoother. Now I have hip ads and sparrow. I use around 10000 boost for hip. Thanks
Thanks for posting this - looks great. I haven't figured out how to paste in those settings yet but haven't really tried - is there a trick?
I just got my Xim4 yesterday so I'm diving in.. it's not really plug & play haha.
I have a razer nostromo and I thought it would be good but the stick isnt actually analog... do you think it's worth picking up one of those Sony Nav things? Plus a USB hub so I can have a keyboard + mouse + sony nav?
Thank sheaps
My Sony Nav is not working correctly, I move the joy stick and nothing happens. I think I am confused on where it needs to be plugged in. I also am not sure if I need to keep the keyboard and controller plugged in?
Hey, I'd like to see if you can figure something out with ADSing with the Last Word. As you know there's a bug with gun where you ADS you still achieve the bonus hipfire damage (111 headshots). With a controller I can get the bonus damage pretty often, but when I use the XIM I can't ever seem to get it. Does it have to do with the way the XIM reads ADS on a mouse or something?
I can't get turn assist to bind to k3. I use the same mouse as the op. What am I doing wrong?

You need to bind K3 into a key stroke on LGS before you can bind it on the xim manager.
Thanks gents. I missed that little gem.
What do you think this guy is using to turn so quickly and smoothly? Something like your running config button? I know he's using a xim and that he's a pvp beast.

Hey guys, just joined this community after being convinced by RML to buy one of these (XIM4)
Never had one before and have never gamed on PC so new to all this, Just got my XIM4 this morning and going to set up (wish me luck) got myself a PS NAV because im not a fan of the WASD.
Bought this solely for Destiny and plan on using this guide to help me, the only difference i have is the mouse. I went for the Roccat Tyon instead of the G502 as i heard it is a good mouse + i like the analog on the side.
Well thats it just wanted to say thanks in advanced and if there are any pointer you vets have for a noob
Ok after reading your OP several times to understand it, do i map most of the keys to a KB and then map them to my mouse i.e for my super or the different subs
how do i get it so i can keep hold of a particular mouse button then ADS and it will lower the dpi, this would be like a sniping button to help me aim
RML i owe you a drink bro
Oh my God, i cant believe how accurate this thing is. Been messing with it all day and shooting Dregs and.... just wow. What else can i say im able to headshot easily and sniping im getting better and better, Thanks again RML its because of you i picked one of these up.
One thing i cant figure out is how to add BC but ill get there, doing alot of reading so i dont spam the boards.
The other thing is i cant get one of the buttons of my Roccat Tyon to register in the manager probably in the RTS (key binding)
The only downside is i updated to the latest build and lost wireless NAV but its cool im sure someone working on it, having so much fun.
RML i owe you a drink bro
Hey what platform you on? Add me if your on PSN oXo_R3MiX_oXo. Just message xim forum member.
Edit - Just figured out the simple copy n paste BC function, facepalm der
Hey, I am struggling to set a macro on the mouse to use a super, or make a button to hold triangle to switch. I tried following your guide but I am not quite that smart on what your macro setting means lol. Any help on the macros? Thanks.

Welcome to the community! Like you, I was never a PC gamer. I came here because I wanted a new experience with console gaming and XIM definitely delivers that. The biggest thing is understanding that there is a learning curve. It took me at least a few weeks to get used to using a mouse and the Nav controller, it is worth it though! If it get's a little frustrating at some point, just remember this. The potential of the XIM4 is greater then the potential of the Gamepad with FPS's. I was an average player with a controller, never greater then 1-1.5 KD. After using XIM for about a month my performance and KD easily doubled. And, TBH, I could probably become a 3-5 KD player if I didn't play so reckless all the time. I mean watch any of my BF4 or Hardline video's, I literally Run N Gun with a sniper and I still maintain around a 2.0 KD and typically finish matches as the MVP. XIM is amazing, it makes gaming FUN for me, which is why I make threads like this one. I like to try and help support the community and this product.
I don't have a ton of time for gaming. Once I became use to using a mouse and NAV with XIM I found I could take time away from gaming, come back to it and still be a really good player. I could never do that with a controller. So, IMO, you made a wise choice my friend!
Congratulations!! ;D
Do you have such photo illustration of the layout of Nav and Mouse for BFH /BF4?
Regards D

I need to update that thread as I think I accidentally deleted an image or something. I'll see what I can do next week. I'll be working till Monday Though.
Did you change your running curve recently? It doesn't match up from the paste data to the picture. It's close but the paste data has a small hump in the middle.
Thanks yea it feels the same to me :)I don't think comparing to others is fair. The only way would be before xim4 and after xim4 :) mine would be very bad before!
Just curious as to what kind of stats everyone has with destiny and XIM? I feel like I have pretty decent stats but would like to compare to other XIM users so I know if I am terrible or not lol.
Are you trying to set those buttons up for your Sparrow like I did, or for something else? For BF4 to change weapon.
How can I add a function to this buttons K4,K5yes I think it have to be added as a kb button. can it be any kay random or one from list? (http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/25/0ed7ae12805aab06f92b34f76696d51a.jpg)
I don't recall, but i think you may have to go into LGS and assign keyboard strokes in the drop down menu to get left scroll and right scroll to bind to a function.

(Radom pic from google)
Example :I made (prev tab in browser C ) button (q)from KB and when i add from xim (reload commando ) it was reloading but at same time going Left. Are some kb buttons that I need to not bound to g700s ?
A guess i mis something, There are some basic rules that I need to know. I search long on you tube advances tutorial how LGS works but the one that I need to know is not to find. I was experimenting and than fall in sleep :) i had looong day.
How or where do you input the paste code?
So i just got my xim4 on friday and ive been using your set up with my own twiste. The only thing is i dont have an option to turn on turn assistance. Is there something special i need to do to get it? I have the latest firmware.
How do i interpret this "Here's an example of how to match my sensitivity's If you're using a different DPI then I am.
Your DPI 12000 / my DPI 8000 = 1.5
Your HIP sens / 1.5 = My Hip sens
Your ADS sens / 1.5 = My ADS sens" im useing 12000 dpi. Whats 1.5 mean?
RML you should definitely make a YouTube tutorial of all of your knowledge and make us grate warriors ;) to fight together:)
can someone please help? how do I copy and past this code?
This may have been answered, but if the keyboard needs to be connected to the xim4, do I need a usb hub in order to also have my PS nav contoller connected so that I can use the same set up as yours?
cheers
It's possible with G 13 to program it or better KB?
Can I do ballistics manual from app ? If I do it takes different shape than your copy past method.
thanks for the info. I'm messing with it right now. One question though, are you not using turn assist while not in the running config? I feel like I cant turn very well and I'm getting owned. I turned on turn assist in HIP but still feels awkward. Any suggewsstions?
Hi RML thank you this post!!! does this Sony Move controle works with xim4 on xbox one?
As I understand you use different primary reload/enter button than one secondary button for helicopter/car/torret ?
:)As I understand you use different primary reload/enter button than one secondary button for helicopter/car/torret ?
Helicopter? Lol.. this is Destiny man. ;)
I will try to answer your question in the BF thread.
What would you change your settings to to increase aim assist. You should use a negative acceleration curve for ADS. Something that looks kind of like the one on the right here.(http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i417/computergeek13/Misc/duty/cg13bo2curves5700dpi4520-1.jpg)
I want the absolute most cheese, op settings available to dominate :)
Thank you, love your work!
Did I something wrong?
Using the G502 with 2400 DPI your settings working perfetly, not to fast or to slow.
Changing DPI to 8000, its far too fast.
Actually I using HIP at 7.5, ADS 3,3 and Running at 25
Ingame sensitivity is at 10 (maximum)
What is K3?
Hello,
I'm a new XIM4 user and I've been trying to follow along with your advanced setup guidelines. I'm beginning to better conceptualize all of the potential in the XIM4 and in a mouse with onboard memory. So thank you for all of the information you've included.
One area of confusion I have is in regards to the activation of the Running configuration. In your HIP/ADS setup, you have J9 set to Sprint (Hold to start the Run Config), but in your Vehicle configuration you have (B) on the mouse set to go to the Running configuration. Is there a way to assign two activation buttons to a single config? And in doing so, wouldn't that (B) on the mouse then interfere with your melee by pulling up the Running configuration while trying to melee while in HIP/ADS Config?
I'm sure there is something easy that I'm missing (perhaps older images from different/conflicting configurations?), but any clarification would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
RML, many thanks for sharing your config, it was a good starting point.
But I still couldn't figure a couple of things:
1. My firmware is latest, but I can't find aim assist field in my app.
2. I did LGS setup as you recommend and still can't bind DPI buttons. In windows environment it works properly (types 3 and 2) but xim app can't recognize they anyway. Maybe I need to try to assign a buttons 2 and 3 directly from the keyboard and then switch back to nav?
Is there a way to copy the exact shapes on the advanced ads?
I don't even know how to explain this.
When I paste the ballistic curves they don't show the shape as displayed in the pictures by OP.
They stay looking as the same diagonal line.
But still do not know why cannot map some buttons from g502 :( like xim do not recognize them. Any ideas? And what is that misterious filed "turn assist"...
need a little help understanding. I think I have all my settings correct as far as hip, ads, running and vehicle. but I'm on sure on activation. I use the sony nav and g502, I have all my buttons assigned to a key stroke.your xim will blink the moment your activate the button and blink again the moment you release it
how do I know something is activated. like I use the save stick button to sprint, I have that bound to the run map..i think, LOL
also, what is steady aim?
your xim will blink the moment your activate the button and blink again the moment you release it
Cmiiw
yeah that would do also [emoji16]your xim will blink the moment your activate the button and blink again the moment you release it
Cmiiw
Or have Xim Manager open - all keypresses will display on-screen.
what does the curve actually do ?
I don't have the turn assist option on my XIM manager, why is that?
Hi, this looks great. The thing is is, I really need a little bit help to fix this. I actually only need the setting to turn faster around when running and when I drive a vehicle. When I go to the XIM Manager on my mobile, and go to settings of "Destiny" I have two things: "Hip" and "Aim Down Sight". The forum post says the other two "Running" and "Vehicle" I'll have to make myself, so I did. But when making these things it doesn't change anything, so I probably have to do something with those code under 'Old' and 'New' firmware and copy-paste them to "somewhere"... Could anyone explain me what I have to do with those codes to make the settings working? I don't see any place in my XIM app on my phone to enter those codes, or is this only able when I connect the XIM to my computer?

I would also like this clarifying too please.
RML, here's what I need from you:
1. Your PayPal account.
2. Tell me whenever you get a new mouse so I can buy the same one.
3. Please tell me you'll be playing Halo 5.
I'll happily pay you for your ST settings for any game we share!
You probably think I'm kidding. That would be a mistake.
He definitely has put time and effort into everything he does and is very generous with giving his setup to everyone for free. I know where youre coming from though.
Please note: I recently got rid of my Keyboard and just went with a small numeric keypad (because it's all I need and takes up less space). I'm mentioning this because this is reflected in my button codes. If you're going to use my LGS settings, you'll have to chg. the keyboard keys labeled K1 - K9 to their numeric pad twin. For example K6 is now kpad 6.

Well, your call but anytime you want to offer your services just let me know. For me a solid ST makes/breaks my experience with a game. I'm a complete noob with tweaking my XIM and fail miserably at understanding/setting curves, velocity, and the rest of the magic you wield.
I am glad that we both use the G502 but just remember to let me know if you change this in the future! Fingers crossed you'll be playing Halo 5, Star Wars Battlefront and Battleborn!
I'm guessing you're using the thumb buttons on your G502 for some of your commands. I wish I could do this but I've got large hands/fingers and half the time I misfire when trying to use anything except left/right and the scroll wheel. :(
Just curious, what num keypad are you using?
Is there a USB Hub you recommend for this config and I take it that I would put it in the keyboard port and plug the Sony Nav and keyboard into the USB Hub. Do you think a Num Pad can be used instead of a keyboard?
Did you assign KB buttons to those unrecognizable buttons within LGS? You have to do that before Xim Manager will recognize them. Look through the OP again, I added a link there that talked about doing this in the mouse software on your computer.
I will be showing you guys how to do this with the fire button sometime down the road, when OBs fixes sub settings.Did I something wrong?
Using the G502 with 2400 DPI your settings working perfetly, not to fast or to slow.
Changing DPI to 8000, its far too fast.
Actually I using HIP at 7.5, ADS 3,3 and Running at 25
Ingame sensitivity is at 10 (maximum)
Nothing wrong, just sounds like you're a Low Sensitivity player. I would suggest raising your DPI setting and lowering your sens. Try something like 4000 DPI with 5.5 hip, 2.2 ADS. In my experience XIM feels smoother with dpi over 3600.
Maybe the secret is in your LGS mouse settings? For example in your signature D:8000 stands for dpi i quess but what is P:500?. Currently i am using a way higher sens in xim to have my look, aim, movement speed to compensate this "slow motion". I am talking about Destiny.
Now that I think about it, why would you use turn assist anyway. Wouldn't it be annoying if the camera kept turning like that? I get why you would use this for things like tank controls but does it make sense for regular movement?
It's a matter of preference. I really like using it for tight corners. I definitely don't use it all the time and I probably use it more for PvE then PvP. You do get used to it though if you stick to it.
As far as the colors go, this thread has seen many revisions and updates. Don't let the colors throw you off, I just changed my setup at some point and didn't use the same color that's all.
I use steelpad qck+ so the soft one. My sens in game is 10. My mouse DPI is 8000. I think it is all i can configure about sens? I do not know if you use acceleration in LGS?
I do not know also how much you have to drag your mouse over the pad to make your move. Maybe you do a big swipes? I do not know if you post some video showing your phisical mouse movement refering to in game movement. Maybe this would explain a little bit more.
I am trying to copy and paste these ballistics curves but when I try to do so with the first one for HIP all I get is a bunch of vertical squiggly lines. I called my brother and he said he had the same issue until he noticed you had a link to an "older" version of the firmware. Do you still have that posted here? He said once he used the older version then everything worked perfectly.
Here is my setup:
1) XIM4
2) Logitech G13 gaming keyboard
3) Logitech g300s gaming mouse
That is the exact setup my brother is using and he LOVES it. I hope you can help me get this figured out.
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to render,
Aaron
I use a hard surface pad, my experience is that you need a little higher sensitivity with soft pads then with hard pads. I would up your sens by approx. 3-5 if you want to try to match mine.
@RML why don't you copy your Destiny ST and drop the paste code in here? That way people would only have to remap buttons and tweak sensitivitys?
It would take a lot of the "explanation" out of this thread.
But you defiantly get slain around here for being one of "The Last Of The Mohicans"

I'm not sure I completely understood that comment, it did make me chuckle a bit though. That's the Mrs. Fav movie btw.
cheers RML for your time on this config

Here you go man, everything you need to be a Destiny Rockstar with the G502 and Nav! Lol ...
Make sure you create a New Destiny config, click the edit button to open it up. Then click on the 3 small dots to the right of the screen. When it opens up simply paste this code and you'll have my entire setup, just like that. ;)
Just make sure you click on the word "select" above the code to highlight EVERYTHING that you have to copy.
Updated OP as well.
Added 9/16/15, my entire Destiny setup for G502 and Nav all within this one Code! That's right, sensitivities, Ballistic curves, button layout, sub-configs, EVERYTHING!
:P thank you so much m8 just got to edit now am using the razor abyssus 3500dpi 1000hz and a keyboard once again thanks so much for your hard work :P :P :P

New to XIM Here. The white circle is controlled by the left analog stick on the controller which would be what you use to move. If your using a Sony nav then its the analog stick on the Sony nav. If it a keyboard then you control the circle with wasd.
I set up my xim4 yesterday with destiny and everything seems to be working fine, EXCEPT for the menu screen selection icon (white circle) that you can move with the left controller stick to select your character's inventory, login profile etc.
I would very much like to set up this special configuration, but the latest firmware and manager version I can see that can be downloaded is the 20141114. Can someone please explain how to download this on my android phone as well as on my Xim4?
When I currently go to the 3 dots as described, there's no where to paste this information.
Setting up this config would be awesome, but for the moment, how do I get my in-game "white circle" selector to work with my mouse. I am using a Razer Naga Epic Chroma
Thanks!
Could you not set WASD movement to Mouse and set that to a profile bound to the menu button or no?You probably could but you use that circle for everything. Also the speed of movement on that circle is so slow that I think you would have to do long multiple mouse swipes just to get across the screen. Personally I would stick with the analog or wasd set up to save confusion.
Enabling you to you the "white circle" as a cursor with your mouse?

I was able to install the new firmware as well as download the app on my phone from the ADK. Question though: if i use your configuration with my Naga Epic Chroma, what will i need to change?
Also, i see a lot of people like yourself using that proteus logitech mouse, is there a reason?
I personally use the G502 for it's optical sensor and button layout.
ok i was able to download the firmware and get the manager installed on my phone. I also ended up purchasing the g502 mouse. However, when i click the 3 dots in the manager, i dont see an area where i can paste your conifg.

How does it work for the Sprint and Vehicule.. i mean what is the purpose of the turn assist and what it does... if my running setting is set to my shift on my KB, do i have to press anything else to make it work... also i cant bind turn assist anymore dunno why
Hi, guys! Thanks for an awesome setup! Just thought I would try out the LGS with macros. Do I replace the button mapping from your original post, with the ones found in the link? http://imgur.com/a/VfKnj <- that one
I just wanted to say thank you as well for this. I have a Logitech G700 and was able copy your entire setup in via the first selection (thanks for that!). I then edited the buttons the way I wanted and used your macros as well.
The game feels much better now playing. Again, thank you!
**Edit to say I am using a PS4 with Razer Anansi Keyboard as well as above mentioned G700.
RML i need your help bro i have basically same setup just different curves and sensitivity the only issue i have is sprint i have a profile for sprint but sometimes it has a delay when i sprint. I use the sony nav sprint as my activation key for the sprint profile. Can that be the issue? I tried the 200 delay and it still does it not all the time but lets say im sprinting then i jump when i land sometimes i cant sprint for five seconds...
Hi everyone, just got my XIM4 yesterday, great setup RML. The only thing I'd like to ask about is the mouse speed while on the sparrow. It's very slow, meaning turning the screen to look around is slow and makes the sparrow uncontrollable at high speeds. I'm still a noob with XIM configuration so I can't seem to figure out how to increase the mouse speed the proper way. I've tried tweaking the mouse sensitivity under the sparrow section but there's no noticeable changes.
Hi guys, I would love some help please as I would love to use RML's setup with the 20150816 Manager but I have an issue, when I finish installing it and I try to log in with Xim4 Manager all the lights on the Xim4 turn White and stay white and the Xim4 manager program tells me that it is not responding any idea what I may be doing wrong, any idea would be greatly appreciated, cheers and thank you
Hi there i am new Xim4 owner i love your guide one question howe do i set it up if i have a keyboard. can i still use this if i have not a Nav. ?
Hey thanks for the configuration. I have a question which seems to be bothering me when i'm playing with your configs, I don't know if it's because I just need to adjust it or what not.
My Hip sensitivity seems to be crazy low. I have to pretty much pick up my mouse twice just to do a full 180 turn. At best my turns are maybe 45 degrees at best, moving the mouse 3 inchs. Adjusting the sensitivity doesn't do much with this as it just makes my precision bad, and it still doesn't turn that well.
How can I fix this issue? Is it possible to get something close to FPS on a PC? I'm not use to having to pick up my mouse to make turns.
Razer Naga, I think it's 5200 dpi. It's basically a spare mouse. Could the low dpi be the reason?
I dont know where to ask. Kan I add to g13 a "ds4 share" button?
Oh weird, you said for your settings I should set them to 38.2. But when I was playing around with the mouse settings yesterday I set it up all the way to 300. I'm able to turn fully now, slightly sensitive it's not something I couldn't get use too.
Another question I have is, I notice a little bit of shutter on the horizontal mouse movement (looking left to right). This is normal for the xim4? It's not too big of a deal but it doesn't feel as smooth as playing on a PC.
I read this in your OP
Here's an example of how to match my sensitivity's If you're using a different DPI then I am.
Your DPI 12000 / my DPI 8000 = 1.5
Your HIP sens / 1.5 = My Hip sens
Your ADS sens / 1.5 = My ADS sens
I'm pretty terrible with figures, can you clarify the calculations?
I have an 8200 DPI mouse, so 1.025 the sensitivity of yours? So to match your hip sensitivity (listed as 25 if I understand your OP correctly) to my mouse for example would be a hip sensitivity of 25.625 (rounded to 25.6)?
Also, just wanted to say awesome post. Very thorough and informative, nice work.
FIrst off, I just got my Xim4 3 days ago so I'm pretty new at all of this.
I followed your guide and was able to setup hip and ads no problem, everything feels great after some minor sens tweaks for my liking.
The issue im having is setting up the run subclass, I set everything up but it just seems not to be working. I noticed there is no hold tab on my manager. Is this what could be causing this? Seems like the toggle wasnt working either.
Im on latest firmware and manager, has there been a new manager update since this tutorial has been updated? Im confused because there is some things that are different on my manager than your screenshots.
Just got mine. The shame I feel for apparently being the only person on the internet who has not a single clue where to paste these codes. I click the three dots as instructed and I promise there is no where to paste it. If anyone can help (in dip @#$% detail) this chicken McNooblet out I would be much appreciative.
I never could get the running and vehicle setting working. but I use the rest of the settings and work pretty good.
Im using half of your setup i just have problems sniping the aim assist gets too strong sometimes. I dont know of its just me but i always aim for the head that could be my problem. If my centering is on point with the target its good its only when i have to re-adjust the scope or move it from one side to another and thats when aim assist gives me problems
Het, thanks for the guide!
There are a few things unclear for me:
- the lgs imgur link does not work. No idea what lgs even is.
- I can't figure out exactly how the heavy weapon and vehicle stuff works, with the profile swapping.
Image works now, now it all makes sense to me. Thanks!
Nice guide, very fast and agile.
Do have an issue tho. When using a side arm and ADS it seems to lock above the head, missing alot of shots. And almost impossible to adjust while firing.
Any idea what setting i can change for that?
Maybe a stupid question, do you need that Playtation thing or can you do with an ordinary keyboard and still use this setup?
I just added a link to the OP to another thread where I've started collecting info for you guys and also just posted a How To video. Check it out if your interested. There will be more videos on Advanced Settings to come in the future. So keep an eye out if you need some help! I will try to accommodate any special request, so let me know what you're struggling with.

You're killing me loki, just killing me! ;)
Seriously, I get where you're coming from. I may work on something when I have time to think it thru. Basically though, I think the biggest thing as far as buttons go, is making sure you remap your sub config activation keys to match whatever you chg. with the layout.
Also, remember I'm using the Green Thumb button settings in game. If you use Green Thumb and then DONOT change any of the Secondary button assignments, then I think you'll be ok. Like I said though, I'd really have to give it some thought to say "that'll work" 100%.
Alrighty, just want to say that I love this thread RML, even though I haven't been able to get it to work for me yet. lol
It took a while but I finally figured out how to do the copy/paste business, read through copious amounts of posts and pages, but this 21050816 build still eludes me.
I've d/loaded it, but as soon as I open it, it wants to update and brings me to 20141114 build. I can't seem to bypass the update. I've tried disabling mobile data and wifi but still it wants to update. When I follow your video from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tP1aJtPiEvs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tP1aJtPiEvs), the copypastewholesetup, at the 3.30min mark, my manager doesn't have the copy and paste icons like yours does.
What on earth am I doing wrong? Would very much like some help with this please folks.
Any help/advice appreciated. Cheers
Thanks for the reply RML.
So simply uninstall the version I have, THEN install the 21050816 build? Gotcha. Will I need to turn off mobile data or wifi or anything like that also?
When you say "factory restore"....do you mean of the XIM4? And to do this I'll need to d/load and use their Flash Tool, is that correct? Not too worried about this resetting the config, only have a basic one set up atm so losing it isn't that big a deal.
Ummm...can't find a "Flash Tool" anywhere on their d/loads section. Am I missing something? And I think I need a Dummies guide lol cause some of this is just not getting through to me. The "manager" build is for my phone, thats fine, the "firmware" build will be for my Xim4 I presume....but how do I get it "ON" to the Xim4 after d/loading?
Sorry for all the q's, just really want to understand all this.
<edit> Oh and another question :) If...once successfully doing all this, are the separate/individual code blocks for Hip, Ads, Running etc in first post....are they contained within the "all in one" code? So if I'm using a KB and not the Nav thingy, I need to use the individual codes?
<edit2> Aaaand another question...you mention that "you will have to choose 'factory restore' when the option pops up"....in what sequence of events does that happen? When I'm uninstalling the manager or the firmware? Confused I am.
You're killing me loki, just killing me! ;)

Also, remember I'm using the Green Thumb button settings in game. If you use Green Thumb and then DONOT change any of the Secondary button assignments, then I think you'll be ok. Like I said though, I'd really have to give it some thought to say "that'll work" 100%.
In the Destiny thread you said Quote: IMPORTANT!! Some of my setup will not work properly without following my instructions for mouse settings within LGS.
What are all of your mouse settings you have in LGS, I see in your Xim4 settings everything has a KPad 1-8 settings, how do you label your mouse as KPad 1-8? Can anyone help me with setting this up properly, everything isn't working correct for me, it might be easier for me to just go through his steps to get it to work and not use his copy and paste his personal settings config.
How do I get my mouse to say KPad 1, KPad 2, etc.... like it does in your mouse profile? I also was unable to return back to orbit by holding Y (scroll down), I need to hold it. How do I hold a scroll down, I thought I could push the scroll wheel in, it worked about half way and then stopped. Do anyone have the LGS Mouse settings, I thought I set it up correct but if I select a button on the Xim and press a button on my mouse it doesn't say KPad anything, except for the multi buttons I created? Thanks in advance.
Hey RML I dont know if I am blind or something, but I cant find what DPI you use on your mouse.
Thanks
Hello RML
Thanks for your hard work, I recently purchased xim4 and I must say your hard work to make Destiny better on xim is one of the reason I decided to purchase it.
I wanted to ask if I copy paste your includes everything code will it work with ps4? or is there anything specific i have to do in order to get it working properly on the ps4
Thanks!

All my settings in LGS are shown in the Imgur pics. Kpad 1-8 are just the numbers on the right side of the keyboard. I use those because I don't even use a keyboard. I only use a keypad because I don't need that many buttons and it takes up very little space. If you use the numbers on the right side of your laptop or keyboard it will be the same. How do I get my mouse to say KPad 1, KPad 2, etc.... like it does in your mouse profile? For "Go to Orbit" I'm actually using the scroll wheel button (press it in), not scroll wheel down. I assigned the macro as Kpad 7 (secondary select) and Kpad 8 (secondary Y). So just add the delays between 7 and 8 in LGS like I did, then make sure they're setup correctly within Manager under secondary buttons. Again, if you're using my layout, manager is good to go!Hey RML I dont know if I am blind or something, but I cant find what DPI you use on your mouse.

Lol ... It's in my signature, my friend. ;)Hello RML

Everything will work fine with PS4, the only difference is the button designs, i.e. X on PS4 is A on XB1 I believe.
Hope that helps guys!
RML thanks for this guide. I haven't gotten a chance to set it up yet, but considering I've done no customization of my Destiny profile, I'm excited to see how much of a difference this makes, especially with auto-aim (Why Bungie decided this was necessary and not optional, I'll never know).
On a side note, how many people play with the Playstation Nav Controller? I'm going to pick one up tonight to see how I like it with your setup, but it seems that a keyboard or gamepad (I'm using logitech g13) would have more buttons. The only positive I can see is that you have a trigger with the left hand.
Thanks again, can't wait to try this out!
I like the Nav, the grip sucks (it doesn't have any). I bought some Sugru putty and made a hand grip on the Nav, I really love it now.

Thanks for the info Atlas.
Just to make sure I've got it...
1. Unplug all the cables from the Xim,
2. hold down the pair button and plug into the pc (using the micro usb port yeah?),
3. wait for it to glow blue,
4. then release pair button,
5. then open the 20150816 firmware d/load (is this firmware actually the FlashTool I've read about btw?)
6. I should get an option to "restore factory defaults", this will wipe device and install 20150816
7. open up (previously installed) 20150816 manager on phone
8. <hopefully> be able to follow rest of OP :)
Thanks for the explicit instructions, Atlas. It just felt like there were some things/steps I was missing. Gonna try this now, and I think this was what I needed.
Only other question atm still remains, if anyone can answer please, the individual codes from RML in OP (the ones that come after the "all-in-one" code) for Hip, Ads, etc....are they contained "within" the "all-in-one"? So if there were something I didn't want with the all-in-one, I can just use the indi codes?
Thanks again in advance, appreciate the help.

Oh dear god. I guess if it works for you...:)
Was hoping for some help. I can't seem to get my y axis look to be fast enough. I have hunters blink jump over me and by the time I can turn I'm dead.
It doesn't seem like the y axis is -that- slow with a controller. I've tried adjusting the hip sensitivity but haven't had any success, and really, I don't want the x axis to be much faster anyways.
Any thoughts?
Just one question. I would love to use the thumbstick from PS4 on my XBOX one. Is that possible through the Xim 4? I would hate to spend the money and find out it won't work.
Hello all,
I'm new to the community here and was wondering if anyone else is also using a mouse + keyboard setup and doesn't have a mouse / keyboard that internally can store macros.
Has anyone got a recommendation for me on this concern?
I hope this isn't a stupid question but why the 8000 dpi?
You have the Logitech G502 that goes up to 12k dpi, I thought with the Xim you wanted your dpi as high as it can go.
I ended up just using all the curves individually as i use a KB/M.
Though, a strange problem has occurred. In the bindings I select crouch as the C key on the KB but it doesn't work, when I map the C key to the highlight character selection, it then crouches.
Any idea why this may happen?
Cheers.

Here's the other thing that is really annoying... I seem to just get absolutely dominated at close in shotgun play. Screen doesn't scroll fast enough, gun seems to jump.. I don't know. It's great at medium range / pulse rifle play.
RML I've been using your setup with some tweaks for sometime and they are great. Now that I'm getting more into sniping I'm having some issues. In the heat of battle, especially ToO, I swipe to quickly or over accelerate which causes a couple things:
1. Arced reticle path instead of nice straight line
2. "Flashing Lights" or gone beyond max turn speed. (I know of destiny's for design after following mist, you and others post)
Your normal ADS curve is great for me in all things but sniping. So in the last couple of days I've setup another config for sniping starting with your ADS and tweaking:
1. I can adjust the Y/X ratio to get a flatter reticle path but then of course it feels to slow especially when trying to track a Jumping player. So that's not working.
2. Lowering the sensitivity doesn't work b/c I'm to slow to get on target
3. I've taken your ADS and flat lined the curve at about 50 to limit the speed which is the best I've come up with.
So at a loss I'm and hoping you can come up with a curve to help me. This is no fault of anyone's but mine by not limiting my scoped swipe speed. But maybe you can suggest a curve?
Not at home yet but will post curves when home.
Running G502
DPI - 12k @ 1k polling.
ADS Mouse Sense at 5
Snipe Config Sense at 5
After using your sens/dpi/pollrate I've found these settings feel more fluid.
Thanks for any suggestions and I'll append when I'm home.

Ahh yes, LOL ... Sniping! I actually had a sniping setup added to my OP when I first created this. I removed it because it was creating too much confusion. Basically I made another sub config and lowered the sensitivity for long range sniping. I think I even had a video showing the benefits at long range. Yeah, that was fun. ;)
Thanks for sharing your ideas! ;D
I feel like I might be missing something, but when I click the three dots using the 20150816 manager I'm not able to paste anywhere. Any ideas?
Copy is on the left, paste on the right. Do you have this?

So I'm curious I want to snipe, so is there a something I could set up in addition to normal ads to snipe? Or would I have to have a new setup and if so what would the ballistic curve be?
Hey RML.. Great setup and i am trying to use it. At first i couldn't understand why you mapped certain buttons on the mouse.. But after testing i realized that this setup is ideal. I've searched this entire post for your LGS settings, and even found posts that referenced Imgur links, but i cannot find them at all. I apologize if i've overlooked something, but could anyone point me to the LGS Imgur pics? Thank you all so much!
Wow thanks for this RML! I watched your video and I am in the same boat. I'm 35 years old, work 50 hours a week, and when I get game time it's not very much time at all. This is going to save me a ton of time trying to create a config that works so I just want to say thank you very much for taking the time to create and share this with everyone.
My issue is the Destiny turn cap, it's driving me crazy. I don't have the same hardware you are using and I'm wondering if loading these settings will work just the same?
I use a Logitech G5 that has max DPI of 2000 (should I buy a new mouse?)and a G15 keyboard.
I'm assuming that I will have to increase the sensitivity of the Hip and Ads but will I have to make any changes to the curve and boost settings with my hardware or are these two settings unaffected by mouse DPI?
Yes, you can use it with the latest RC and then just copy the settings for the new firmware from august.
any updates on curves? i love your setup and good job taking the time to share settings..ive been trying to find a curve thats good between sniping and primaries. im having a hard time adjusting snipin sometimes im good but if i strafe hard scope i miss sometimes
I agree with you the aim assist is bad i like curves but sometimes it adds too much acceleration and trows me off. Kinda hard keeping it balance betweeb hip and ads the transition between both and the Feel of aim assist using different load outs. Im going to work on a new curve this week ill see if i can come up with something nice to balanced bothany updates on curves? i love your setup and good job taking the time to share settings..ive been trying to find a curve thats good between sniping and primaries. im having a hard time adjusting snipin sometimes im good but if i strafe hard scope i miss sometimes
I just switched to the regular linear curve with higher sensitive and have noticed it is MUCH easier to get those headshots compared the RML's ADS curve, but it's harder to track people and push through that auto aim when using other weapons.... We need a good curve that gives us the best of both worlds ideally but sadly I am a complete simpleton when It comes to these ballistic curves...

Hi,
Awesome article.
Thank you for writing it.
I have one question though.
I am using a Samsung tablet and have always put in my configurations through it.
When I try to cut and paste your configuration and I hit the edit button I don't have the option for cut and paste appear.
Is there something I need to download or do I need to do it on a laptop?
Thank you
I just had to thank you, RML, for taking the time to put this guide together for new people to get their XIM4's set up fresh out the box with utter ease! This guide also taught me a lot more about the XIM4 before I even owned it! I felt I knew where to go and what to do the second my unit arrived.
Always appreciate people going above and beyond on the internet, like this, to make transitions simple for everyone.

I'm a newb but i'm trying to figure out how to set this up for my Destiny profile. I don't even know where you paste that first code posted, also when I paste the code for the HIP ballistics it shows like 88.0 under the ballistics and the wavy line curve is all over the @#$% place and looks nothing like yours.

Hi there!
Just wanted to check if the settings is compatible with the latest firmware XIM4 20151120?
Thanks guys!
Regards,
Jason Khoo
Hi RML, in regards to your tutotial here http://imgur.com/a/VfKnj I see the reasoning behind having to create a one button press macro for sparrow mounting and going to orbit due to having to press a sequence of keys including delays, however I do not see the point of having a macro for heavy weapon. I just hold down the key which has been assigned to bring up heavy weapon. Is there a reason for creating a macro?
I am against aim assist but have been thinking lately (for sniping) it would be better to run an ambush scope rather than a shortgaze as shortgaze adds +30 AA and ambush runs -10 aa.it seems like aa affects ranged accuracy as well :'(
Does anyone else run ambush for this reason?
Cheers
I just got my xim4 and I've been trying to use this guide...
I am using the manager and firmware versions mentioned in OP and followed the instructions.
There is no where to paste the configs, please help.
I figured it out.
I was looking for a text box to paste the code...
1. Copy the code in its entirety.
2. Click the edit button on the top left of manager.
3. Click the " . . . " button on the right.
4. Click the box with an arrow pointing down to "paste" code.
I'm enjoying my XIM4 now, I've changed a few things like sensitivity etc.
Thanks for this write up, would be lost without it!
Hey I copied the setup, tweaked to my liking. All my buttons are set. Only problem is that I'm hitting the turn cap very very fast. I'm using a razer death adder 3500 dpi. Is this mouse considered no good? On cod, and battlefront this mouse feels amazing. destiny, however, it just feels so sticky and sluggish. My Xim flashes RED everytime I'm trying to mouse around. Hip, ads, and sprinting. Sprinting is basically unusable right now. Do you guys think it's my mouse?
NY sensitivity is 56. Ads is 30

It could be in game settings or it could be that your mouse at 3500 doesn't feel as fluid. I have a Deathadder 2013 which was 6400 which was very usable but i wanted to try the G502. When i tried it i was surprised at the difference between the two mice. The nice thing about it was that it felt smoother and it also allowed me to have more button options on the mouse which i have really learned to love now. The first couple of games were difficult but i really love it now. If you aren't in the market for a new mouse just crank up the XIM sensitivity and hopefully that works out for you.
Is your game sensitivity maxed out? I run 8500 dpi and the setup is awesome
I'm really knew to xim and was wondering g if I could get some help with making a few things easier for game play like how to maneuver the sparrow easier using a mouse and keyboard. I apologize if there are tons of threads with this data mixed in.
I attempted that but I think I overwhelmed my self. I'll have to give it another shot.
Also, my mouse is set at a maximum DPI of 16,000. How should I adjust? Just play with the sensitivities and go from there? Thanks!
[DESTINY PLAYERS]
Is it worth to upgrade from 20141114 to 20151120 firmware ?
I only play destiny on my Xim4 (ps4) and have no problems so far. I was just wondering if will it improve my gaming experience, remain the same for destiny or even make it worse.
I saw one member saying that he downgraded because he had some issues for aiming headshots on DESTINY with the new smart translator.
Does anyone else experience some problems or benefits ?
Thanks a lot!

Im not on the current RC but on the previous one and I have not notice any issues.
Where did you read that comment?
No I'm on the previous RC. I haven't done the update yet.
Thanks for all the work in this post, it's really helped me get up to speed on the XIM and all the customization and settings needed to get a 'good' feel for my setup. RML, I'm glad you've taken the initiative to write out all that's necessary to get things working, and for sticking with the thread (even when you're not playing Destiny) to help new users out.
I registered my account to say thanks, and may well contribute more in the future as I learn more about what settings I like and dislike with the XIM.

Nah. I'm using the orbweaver. Is the NAV wireless now? I'm on 20150816.
Hello Leotigano,
Just curious, are you using this setup on 1114 manager, or are you using something else?
I did play a little Destiny with the latest firmware/manager and I didn't really feel a noticeable difference. Maybe just a little more jittery, hard to say TBH. One thing you DON'T want to do is use Steady Aim with Destiny. It makes Aim Assist ridiculously strong! No I'm on the previous RC. I haven't done the update yet.

Hi RML! Thanks for your reply!
I am running this setup on 1114 manager, but I got the codes a couple of months ago, before some new firmware releases.
Then I was looking for some sniping setups for better accuracy and I realised I am not using the latest firmware. Actually minr is very old! Kkk
But as soon as I had no problems, i am not sure if it is worth to update and lose my configs.
I just play Destiny on my XIM4 and for that reason I was asking if someone who also plays a lot Destiny has found some benefits on the latest firmware.
But if its more jittery it doesnt sound a good.idea to update my 1114 manager though.
What do you reccomend?
Thanks !!
Hello Leotigano,I thought exactly the same, a little more jittery. However I bumped my polling from 500 back up to 1000 on my mouse for the 1120 fw and it was so much smoother. I went back to the previous because I thought it was "too smooth" and tried that on 500 and 1000, but have kept 1120 at 1000 mouse polling and, once I got used to it, like it quite a bit. To note I'm using a Razer mouse at 8200dpi @1000. ALSO, I must thank you so much for this setup. I also got xim4 specifically for destiny (initially) and this amazing thread taught me all about curves and proper mouse tweaks and now I tweak all my setups. Thank you kindly for your time and effort, it's made fun more fun.

I don't understand the keystrokes in LGS for the 1 button macros; num 0, num 8 etc....can you explain what i'm pressing to set this up?
if i sprint i cant jump i have to let the sprint button off to be able to jump is that correct?
I'm assuming you have tried assigning a different button for jump that's close to shift that you can use a different finger. Then you wouldn't have to remove the finger you are using for run.
Me personally, I have run mapped to my kb and jump onto my mouse.

Same here, run on KB and jump on mouse. Maybe that's where you're having the issue. Try binding run/sprint to another key/button.
Thanks for sharing RML may i ask what mouse dpi you are using thanks!
Thank you very much for all the effort you have put into making, maintaining and supporting this config RDL, it's really appreciated.
I am new to the XIM4 and have only been using it for a week. I've found Destiny really easy to adapt to because of your config, it's brilliant. Thanks again!
There's only one issue that I am having now and that is with sprinting and jumping. I am using the Corsair K70 (in Bios mode as suggested in the supported peripherals list). Basically, I can't press jump at the same time as I am holding down shift for run, is this an issue anyone else has? It's just a little frustrating how I have to let go of sprint in order to jump.
My Xim4 does not have some of the settings listed that I see you have. example: I do not have steady aim listed on mine. Hoe\w did you get these setting on yours?
RML do you know of any BC converter from XIME to XIM4 (RC 1120 )? Ive looked around and even tried some converters on the site but they seem to not work. I'm looking for a curve for Halo Reach for the X1.

Halo Reach. There was one for it during the XIME days. I wanted to convert that into the latest XIM4 BC coding.I would like to check it out!

Thank you very much R3MiX and flst81. I think this was causing the issue, I'm not entirely sure why having jump on the keyboard did effect this, but oh well! If anyone does find out, please quote this post and let me know! :)
Now I have to consider buying a new mouse, I am currently using a Zowie FK2, the the scroll wheel does not work with the XIM :( have got my original MX 518 from 7 years back, may have to try that out!

Basically, I can't press jump at the same time as I am holding down shift for run, is this an issue anyone else has? It's just a little frustrating how I have to let go of sprint in order to jump.
Thank you very much for all the effort you have put into making, maintaining and supporting this config RDL, it's really appreciated.

It sounds like "Jump" is missing from your sprint secondary config. You just need to add it to the button layout, simple as that.
Glad you figured it out Griff, good times!
Was able to get the manager to finally download and work on my phone but not on my pc:/
Copied and pasted the setup into the Destiny config last night before a Crucible match. Work great but I need to increase sens a bit for my playstyle. Had trouble connecting manager to my xim again when I tried to tweak settings. I will try again tonight when I get home.
Here's my modified setup (I'm not using Green Thumb)
http://imgur.com/rNGBxiA (http://imgur.com/rNGBxiA)
Basically, I'm used to right mouse button being scope, so I swapped the NAV trigger to jump. The other problem I was having while testing the setup was sprinting/crouching (which was happening at all the wrong moments). I've made the NAV bumper button B for crouching now, and the NAV stick button sprint (like I have been doing in Destiny all along). I think now with this setup, I'll actually be able to play as well as I had with the regular xbox controller in the past, and should be able to start making vast improvements in my gameplay once I get used to the new setup. Thanks for all the help RML!
(couldn't figure out how to get a picture to show up in the post, so I made a link)
I just watched your lgs video. Working on getting that to work tonight.
To clarify, your mouse registers how long you have the button held down to switch its onboard settings, when then correlate to manager. For example I switch to heavy in game by holding down weapon change. Mouse registers this hold and release and so go to its onboard settings. You change weapons ago, the macro sees another button press and switches back?
I see your XiM is set up to toggle on weapon swap...so how do you manage that the XiM is in heavy mode?
If I can get this it's totally possible to create different macros for each weapon type. In a limited capacity.
The point: I want to build a swap to have different settings for each weapon class.
1) for your macros, are you plugging a keyboard in momentarily? So the orbit button. Num7-Num-8 etc,. Once in game those don't exist. When and how are you logging keystrokes?
2) the emotes are useless. That gives four extra buttons, plus three on board profiles for g502. Some play room to build curves. I was thinking dpad down on Nav to toggle, let's say fusions. So Jerry rig weapon profiles. Can you give a hint or idea towards a more fluent/elegant solution?
A quick question for u ps4 user that use this. I know RML is xbox one. So I ask u guys. How do u complete a misson that should be by pressing tringle? (weapon shift) Its on the mousewheele and cant be pressed. Or do I have to press on the controller that is plug in as receiver.
I just wanted to give a shout out to RML 8)
I recently switched to the Sony Nav and started using this profile. It has been a game changer for me and I can't thank you enough for all the time and effort you put into making this amazing config.
If you ever end up in Florida, the first round is on me!
I am new to XIM4 and i have no clue how to do any of these changes :( i cannot get my XIM4 to hookup to my computer only can do it wirelessly through iOS on cellphone. my main issue i have with my setup is turning quickly while sprinting and while ADS.
I am still having a tough time making Destiny really feel right.
From a 400 dpi mouse and nasty keyboard, to a g502, NAV and latest manager and firmware. I have a steel series mousepad, I can't justfiy dropping more money on a Razer glass coated mouse pad right now to continue and try to get this to work.
I don't want to quit on it either. Especially in games when it seemed to be clicking. Here's the problems, help is appreciated. Sticking with the same set up, gear, and curves this happens.
ADS, aim in general.
1) inconsistentcy. No two matches. No two ads situations. No two movements ever feel identical. I'm running 8200 dpi, 500 hz, as suggested. I always feel somehow slowed down when raising my reticle past an enemies neck. Fast and smooth, then molasses. In Trials of Osiris this has been match ending. This aggravates me because at 1k plus game time, attempting objectivity in review of my play, I don't feel it's me. I will have a smooth 1.5-2kd win. Glowing. Feel amazing. Then same enemies, same set up, getting spit on - consistent .3-.5 kds.
No two movements are feeling alike.
I encounter the opposite problem, if I'm bringing down a reticle or get past the enemy head, my reticle gains major acceleration in whatever direction I was pushing. Our problem with Destiny is that each gun has a level of aim assist as a base stat, creating all sorts of odd effects. For instance, the sidearm Havoc Pigeon is magic with RML's ADS curve. You fight recoil. Your sight goes where you aim it. Switch it to a sniper Defiance of Yasmin, high AA, you gain ghost acceleration and intereria.
Turn and look speed.
2) movement. Turn and look speed. This is a fixture with Destiny and XiM. I've had 2500 boost, 12000 dpi, with a self made curve that was nigh a straight line 100,100 feel the closest to smooth. Then I'm constantly readjusting the mouspad. Mouse position. Arm position. Looking at the curve. I'm using turn assist like a crutch, and doing so makes things jarring. While a comfortable hunter blinks on you, moving smoothly for a kill.
Okay, this has given me an education by fire in ballistic curves. Some of it can be chalked up to bad play/decisions. But the other 95/100? Not sure.
Not hating on XiM. It's a bad @#$% piece of tech,. Easy to use. Hating on Destiny's obtuse m+kb translation. I was a platinum rumbler before deciding to switch. Knew there would be a transition, learning pains, but this was my answer to scuff and Xbox elite controllers now flooding in. Getting down hearted and frustrated with my gameplay here. Would love help or advice finding that sweet spot.

Thanks for posting your setup bro, it's been very helpful for a first time xim4 user. I am using the playstation nav controller and logitech g502 mouse as per your post. I ran a few crucible matches with the features I was able to setup, but I was unable to pick up special/heavy ammo and revive teammates. I have have my reload button as one of the mouse buttons, which works fine, but when I hold it down nothing happens in game. Do I need to set up some advanced controls features within the logitech software to fix this? Thanks again.
I have a Logitech G700s and it's max DPI is 8200. Your config is built around the G502 and I think it's DPI is 1200. Would this DPI difference affect the way my mouse interacts with your config? I'm wondering if your config would feel overly "slow" with my lower DPI mouse. And therefore I'm wondering if I need to increase the sensitivity settings.
You have the following sensitivity settings...
hip - 25
ADS - 11.25
sprint - 47.5
sparrow - 50
For the g700 I'm wondering if I need to increase all these just a little bit to get the seem overall feel as your g502.
So I actually wasn't using the sprint template at all, just hitting the button to enable sprint and using the regular HIPS setup. I'm still in the process of transitioning from joystick to XIM, where right now I'm about even playskill with either setup. I'm still trying to figure out where my melee and grenades are most comfortable, as I've had a few issues with accidentally hitting the K3 button on the mouse (the one right next to LB). Of course, with the multiple setups, it's important that all the templates and secondary buttons are aligned, so that's still a challenge. It's definitely a game ender when I accidentally hit the sparrow macro in the middle of a PVP match and don't remember how to get back to my main config, so I'm still learning. I think I'd like to try the XIM4 at a desktop for true mouse & keyboard, rather than my current mouse & nav on the couch. I'm currently relegated to the couch based on my home A/V setup. Here's my modified setup (I'm not using Green Thumb)

So your holding down the stick button while sprinting? Or did you make the Run Config toggle instead of hold behavior. I didn't use the stick button because I found that toggle didn't work well with run and holding down that button while running is a pain. Then you have to remember to press the button again everytime you stop running if using toggle. Plus sometimes you don't run when you push the button, but now you've activated your run config. You push it again and start running but then you've also just Deactivated your run config. Like I said in the OP, Toggle and Run are a frustrating endeavor.
EDIT: Just added this video to the OP. I have had a lot of questions about LGS, hope this helps.

I actually set this up at 8000 dpi, not 12,000. I also have the G700 and it's lazer sensor is actually a little more sensitive then the G502.
If you're trying to experience the game like I am, then I would say there's no reason to change any settings as you should be really close already.
The only tid bit I can probably offer is, make sure you're using slower, consistent mouse movement with XIM. Another words, on PC you can whip your mouse all over the mat and not lose any movement. You can't do that on console because of the games built in max turn speed limit.
As a general rule of thumb, try not to move your mouse faster then 4-6 inches per second.
I'm struggling to figure out where to paste the code... Some tips?
Any idea on how to bind "Shade Step" to a button? It's a hunter sub class in destiny and in order to achieve this move you have to double tap B quickly.
Any idea on how I could incorporate this into your config RML? Right now double clicking down on the left thumb pad is clunky and a pain. Any thoughts or info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
I recently updated to this config (the full one). I have the exact same setup (g502, Nav) except that I play Destiny on the PS4.
As expected I had to swap some buttons around but otherwise it works good. Actually, it works really good - if you stick to the hardware/DPI settings RML uses (8k DPI, g502, 500 polling).
If you do, or you do the conversions right for your hardware/sens levels, you'll get one of the smoothest Destiny experiences around. Playing with this config/curves is night and day from anything else I've tried. Some of the alternate switches, particularly mounting the bike, etc. take some getting used to - I might try remapping those keys, not a huge fan of clicking the mousewheel left or right. That's just me though. I really like the sprint config, makes sprinting more natural feeling and turn speed is good.
I suspect people having trouble with it is because they are either mixing/matching different parts of the config or using different mice/different DPI levels. Destiny is touchy; I wonder even if converting the DPI/sens levels with the calc will help. At 8k using RML's settings it's pretty much perfect but that might also be the 502 factoring in.
Anyway, thanks for the config!
Doesn't he use 4k DPI?
Hey natu, can you try to describe what you don't like about the acceleration? Are you talking about Hip or ADS? Are you using a KB or Sony Nav?
I just got home from a party and TBH, I'm dead tired. But I will follow up with your answers in the morning.
One quick suggestion. Some people have had issues with my setup because they're using a KB and assigning ADS to right click. That can be an issue because I assign ADS to the trigger of the NAV.
So, if you're using right click for ADS make sure you chg. ADS activation to right click.
I hope that helps.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm just using a keyboard and mouse (logitech g400s @4k dpi, 500 hz). Hip is fine, to be honest, it's the ADS. I already switched the keys to right click so the ADS would activate (before I complained about the MA).
The hip has the same kind of problem, but for hip it doesn't really matter to me, it's just the ADS that makes it pretty annoying to snipe.
Edit1: I don't know if the sensitivity is the issue as per the above posts, but I can't really test a higher sens right now (servers are down), but the MA is pretty bad. I have a QcK+.
So, imagine a number line up to 10, if I swipe slowly it will go from 1 to 10 (covering a longer distance), if i swipe quickly it will go from 1 to 5 (covering a shorter distance).
Edit2: What is your DPI exactly when you made this Destiny setup? I know your signature says 4K, but in the pictures where you show your key setup for your mouse its set at 8K.
Thing's I've tried, upping my sens to 50 / 22.25 (doubling it, assuming you had 8K dpi) -- makes the acceleration kind of worse but a bit easier to handle the ADS, I suppose, but it's just an insane amount of MA
Also, just to clarify your sensitivity setting in destiny is set to max (10), correct? I'm just trying to figure out if I looked over something,
Edit3: Before, I go to bed, the only thing I can think of is maybe the release candidate firmware (20160104) and manager is a bit different in copying and pasting the code (I use a PC for the manager).
Is it possible to bind a button twice so it will activate as if I double tap?
Also, will the curves in the first post work with the newest firmware/manager?
All right- another update from my continued XIM4 evolution.
I've been continuing to tinker with my button layout, as I understand the concepts of having the different setups for different situations (HIPS, ADS, sprint, sparrow). Ignoring the sparrow setup for now since PVP is my main reason for trying to improve my game, I'm fully on board with HIPS and ADS, but I have a question about the Sprint setup. (which is why I veered away from RML's original setup of dedicated sprint button on the NAV and went with my old school '90s PC FPS concept of ADS with right button).
It seems to me like Sprint in Destiny is activated by pressing the left stick, and then you'll be in sprint mode for brief period of time. Then things like hitting B to slide, or X to reload, will drop you out of sprint mode, requiring you to press the left stick again when you want to start running again. I'm not even certain whether or not you'll drop out of sprint mode if you get 'tired' like in other FPS games. Understanding how Destiny treats Sprint would go a long way in helping me get a good XIM4 setup.
How often do you guys use Sprint Mode? Do you just press and hold it when you want to Sprint or do you need to re-press often to maintain the sprint mode?
The Sony NAV controller doesn't ergonomically feel that great to me, and the G13 button layouts don't feel great either (especially when trying to dedicate a sprint key, which I personally am holding down the majority of the time). I just had my own personal Eureka moment yesterday when I picked up the Xbox gamepad to use in my left hand, while using the mouse in my right. WOW. the only ergonomic issue I see there is the weight of the right side of the controller, but I can just rest in on my armrest. So I feel this was a big breakthrough personally for me, and the 2 or 3 matches I've played with this setup have been my best performances so far with XIM. I still need to tweak some of the layouts of where melee's and grenades are coming from, but I think I'm on the right track, and might start looking at a Sparrow setup to use XIM full time in Destiny instead of just PVP.
Thanks for the continued discussion, and great videos RML, you're doing a great service to the community!

ps.
Has there been any talk of being able to work on XIM profiles in an 'offline' mode? Where you don't need to be connected to the XIM by bluetooth?

I'll look around and see if I still have my old settings somewhere. The real problem though is almost every sniper rifle has different aim assist, which gun are you using?
Pretty much everything you're describing is EXACTLY why I decided to use HOLD behavior instead of toggle for the Sprint config. and why I said otherwise it's very frustrating at times. There are a lot of variables with this game while sprinting. The one's I remember, ADS, Reload, Slide and fire all disable sprint. Keep in mind XIM4 didn't have the toggle deactivation keys when I created this. That feature was added later. So now those deactivation keys could be used to help you toggle sprint so that you don't get stuck in your sprint config while NOT sprinting.
However, there's still one little problem with the games mechanics that still leads me to believe that HOLD behavior is the best option. If you sprint for awhile your character becomes tired. So if you stop sprinting while the character is tired you have to wait a few seconds before you're capable of sprinting again. So if you're using toggle mode and you try to sprint, and your character refuses, you now find yourself still in HIP mode but you've activated the sprint config. Then, when you press sprint again and your character starts sprinting, you've just deactivated sprint and you're now sprinting with the HIP config.
Good Luck! ;)
BTW, if you're enjoying the analog movement of using your controller I would suggest giving the NAV another try and just stick with it for about a week, force it! :P
I didn't like the NAV at first either and I'm still not a huge fan. But IMO analog movement trumps KB movement and you can get used to the NAV. It takes a bit of practice though for sure.
quick question rml i dont use angle snapping for FPS do you think it feels better with Destiny aim assist? i've been using your setup but i switch to HIP transalator for my ADS because it helps sniping i wonder if angle snappin makes it better or worst..

@RML do you have any specific setup for Shadestepping? For me having to reach for LCTRL while hitting WASD is really hard.
I'm not understanding how to setup the sprint config. My turning is super slow when sprinting - looking into how to remedy that. Thanks!
Can someone explain how to setup the multikey function on the mouse in LGS? For K1, heavy weapon, which button press does that correspond to? Like the 1 button sparrow config, I've set up the macro as shown in the video, but confused as I don't think my buttons correspond properly. Am I supposed to plug in the Nav or Keyboard I'm using to my pc and press those buttons that I have mapped?
RML not sure if you have macros on your mouse, but I use a Logitech G600 and I'm able to use on board memory to save my DPI and keybinds, but there's no way to save macros. Do i need a different mouse?
Just pick the button on the mouse you want to assign the macro and then set your macro to whatever Keystroke you want, I used "0" I believe in the video. Add a 1.8ms delay between down and up and your done with LGS.
Now go to Secondary buttons in manager and assign keystroke 0 to Y. Yes you will have to have a KB plugged in to do this in manager. However, after that you can disconnect the KB if you want. It doesn't have to be plugged in all the time for it to work.
Hope that helps.
Ok, I think I understand. Last question. What is the delay for going into orbit? Mainly if you have a fireteam as it is longer than when you are solo.
RML, this is little off topic. But will you create your own settings for Division? Im a big fan of both your cod and destiny settings, and really hope u will jump on the division train also. Cheers on your top notch work here![emoji108]

R3MiX, I have firmware 4.00.20141114, which is the latest firmware. Is there any way to update the code/graphs to work with the latest firmware or should we just eyeball it?
Hey RML, long time user of your Destiny setup (but mapped a little different for personal comfort), so much so i haven't checked back in a while.
Have just been looking through the running and sparrow profiles which i never bothered to implement as i was fine without, going to give them a trial now. In regards to not using run as toggle, would it not be a viable option to having multiple deactivation keys such as ADS, melee, crouch etc. whilst in toggle?
Unfortunately it's a feature I wasn't aware of, so I'm not sure how many keys are available to allocate to deactivation.
Cheers,
Matt
Hello RML,
i´m using ur config on PS4 with a G502. sometimes it feels strange when i snipe.
my question is what DPI u are using and whats about the ADS or HIP translator on ADS? or Steady Aim?
is this important? or is something that must be changed on the config for the PS4?
thanks to u
That is not the current firmware. Go to
XIM4/Downloads/Release Candidates/20160121 Firmware.
Download both Firmware and Manager.

Thanks so much, R3MiX. Sorry for seeming like a noob here. It's because I am lol. I was going off the info here: http://xim4.com/community/index.php?board=81.0
Should be good to go now! :-)
How can I increase vertical sensitivity only?
RML do you still use angle snappin on your mouse settings?
EDIT:
I think this may be your problem:
In the XIM software, do not map the physical mouse button you're using to program your macros in LGS.
You may need to add a keyboard to the XIM and map those buttons as a source for what your LGS macros will be programmed to do, unless you're starting from RML's setup.
My first, probably hard to understand response, follows:
So you need to separate out the button mapping in the XIM4 software from the commands in your LGS. RML has secondary mappings to the joystick buttons, which are the keyboard mappings he uses when programming macros.
For instance, he has MScrollDown mapped on Primary to his Y button (triangle on PS4). So that's what he uses to switch weapons. He as KPad0 mapped on Secondary to his Y button (triangle on PS4). So he uses KPad0 in the LGS software (press KPad0, hold 1.8s, release KPad0), mapped to the K1 button on the mouse. So when he presses K1 (which is not mapped in the XIM software), the XIM will see the macro that is being run from the on board mouse memory, and his Heavy Weapon will be equipped.
Does that make sense? I think you might be mapping your programmed mouse button from LGS to XIM, so XIM will interpret that before the macro ever has a chance to work.
What are the exact commands for Shade step? How do you activate it?Shadestep is B, B on XB1 or circle, circle (same as Twilight Garrison activation for Titans who are in the air, I believe)
I'm almost positive I mapped the macro as I was supposed to. I had the button defined as "ctrl" in XIM (which I want it to be) and CTRL is mapped to it as the macro in my logitech software. I have the ctrl up arrow, delay, and then down arrow mapped as the macro. When I press the button ingame though, I press it once, wait a lil, and press it again and then it functions as a double tap - but it does not do what I want. I want a single press of the putton to be a double tap of ctrl.
Yeah, sorry, that's how I have it. Down then up.
It's this button: http://i.imgur.com/HHCSdKJ.jpg
So for shadestep, the full macro should be:
↓ Ctrl
↑ Ctrl
⌚ 0.1 sec delay
↓ Ctrl
↑ Ctrl
That will press and release CTRL, wait 0.1 seconds, then press and release CTRL. It sounds like your macro presses on CTRL, holds X seconds, and then releases it. I'm not sure if 0.1 seconds is the right amount of time for a doubletap, but you can test it.
Would the .05 go after the first down press or the first up press? The first one ofc, otherwise its like .2 paus in the middle.[emoji6]
Example:
ctrl down
.05
ctrl up
.01
control down
.05
ctrl up
or
ctrl down
ctrl up
.05
.01
.05
ctrl down

Apologies if this has already been asked.I copied my Destiny Config to the clipboard, thinking I would have to paste it back in. I did not even have to do that. I upgraded the firmware and software, and everything worked as smooth as it did before.
I am about to update o the latest firmware but was just wondering if this destiny config will work as smoothly with the new release as it does on the firmware RML created it on.
Anybody already done this and have feedback?
^ You can't unless the G13 has onboard memory.
Hello ... this is Frasier from Germany. I got my XIM just 2 days ago and it was a god sent that I found this thread. My special thanks goes to RML. Without your postings I would still be stuck in my very first setup steps and had no idea how to make this thing work! After just 2 days and a few hours in this thread I have at least an understanding of how things come together ... configure my mouse with LGS and map it in the XIM-manager. But I still have some questions left since I am using a keyboard and mounse setup and have to make some adjustments to your configs. One thing I did not figure out by reading this thread is the following: there are several configs for different scenarios, like "hip", "ads", "sparrow", "running", etc. To activate these configs - as I understand it - you have to asign a button to each config and press it while playing. Since I can not asign a button for the standard config (hip), how I do get back to this after I choose lets say ADS by pressing the asigned button??? I could press still another button to go to "sparrow", but I have no idea how to get back to "hip"? Everything else I figured out and while I still have to find the best key layout for my needs (where to put the "super" or my "melee"-attack, your setup is a great starting point and enabled me to start playing with keyboard and mouse, which I have never done before ;) So I would really appreciate, if you can find the time and answer my question in the near future. Thanks again for your great support. Sending a big HELLO from Germany :) Best, Frasier

Hey Frasier0303, Welcome to the community!
You have tow options when activating sub configs, such as ADS, Sparrow, etc. You have "Hold and Toggle" behaviors. If you're using Hold, then it simply reverts back to hip when you release the button. If you're using toggle then you'll need to press the button once to activate the sub config, then press it again to de-activate the sub config and put you back to hip. There are also the config de-activation keys you can use while using toggle mode. These allow you to de-activate a subconfig for things like Reloading, jumping, firing, etc.
Has anyone done the shadestep script that is working right? I can't seem to get the timing right. If so can you PM the script to me?
Hi RML ... thanks again man! So I guess I am all set for the moment ;) Best, Frasier
This is absoulutley amazing. Just getting back into using my XIM4 again and noticed this setup. Taking me a while to figure some things out but as far as I can tell things are going great at the moment but have a few questions.
I noticed in your Logitech video at the end of your first post that you are set to 4000 DPI instead of the full 12000, any reason for this?
Also would it be best to use this on max in game sensitivity (10)?
When you use your sparrow you use the scroll wheel left to activate and always use scroll wheel right on the G502 to exit the sparrow and go back to HIP profile?
And one last thing, how to secondary profiles work? Like secondary HIP profile with different buttons?
Thanks.
So the first page aint updated for v2? Im gonna try out it with 4000 instead for 8000 that im using now. Also nice that there is a button free now with the deactive keys. U should update this master piece mate.Hi RML ... thanks again man! So I guess I am all set for the moment ;) Best, Frasier

- I use 4000 DPI for BO3, I haven't played Destiny in months Lol ... However, I did it because STv2 feels too jittery to me at 12000 dpi. I haven't tested it with Destiny yet. Although I preferred 8000 to 12000 with destiny on STv1, so ... I'm thinking I would probably go with 4000 on Destiny as well.
- Yes, always use max in game sensitivity because that's how the ST is trained.
- Yes I use scroll left to macro in the sparrow. However, I created this guide before a few new features were added to XIM4. One of those new features is Deactivation keys. So you no longer need a macro for exiting the sparrow, all you need to do is assign the jump button as a deactivation key for the Sparrow sub config. Then, always use jump to get off the sparrow and it will automatically deactivate the sparrow config and put you back into Hip.
- Secondary profiles work by assigning an activation key to them. Then when that button is pushed you activate your sub config. Subs are used for many things, such as: Vehicles, Sprinting, Kill streaks, ADS (yes ADS is a sub config), menu navigation, etc.
Hey so I just got my XIM4 today and I really want the setup for Destiny to be as simple as possible. When I pasted your codes for each sub, the ballistics were all way off compared to what you've shown in the pictures. I feel like I read over everything but I'm sure I definitely missed something. I'd love to get setup and on the right track and nice guide btw!
Sorry to ask.. just got my XIM4 yesterday. Do I copy the code in the XIM4 Manager? If so, how?
Thanks for clarifying. I've actually been running 8200 dpi per another poster's advice in a sniping setup thread. The aiming feels smoother & less jittery to me than it does at 4000 dpi.Are using RMLs sensitivity with 8200dpi?
I haven't updated my xim4 since may 2015 and I just got started sniping again in destiny and I can not land any hits like I was able to. Maybe I suck now or its xim? idk
Okay, so this is awesome for one...but I do have a question..You assign those profiles with that button u use for it. Ads on your mouse/ps nav is the same button that should be assign to the ads profile. The only profile that needs a own button is the sparrow profile. But Rml has done a "one" button macro for that as well.
Do I need to assign an activation button to use each config? Each time I want to use a config I need to hit the activation button first? I am a little confused with this part
Okay, I have to be doing something wrong with my turn assist...when I hit the turn assist button I do a complete 360 and cannot control it at all...why is that? What is going on: when I am running and need to turn a corner or try to shoot someone coming around that corner I cannot lock onto them at all, they kill me every time. When using the turn assist it spins me so fast I cannot stop at all. What can I do? Yeah when they are coming straight at me or standing still I have no issues lol
RML, any chance you can revisit your setup and configs? Possibly update them if needed? There has been changes in the game in terms of scopes and the way it acts, melee hit detection, armor with evade, etc.etc. Also STv2 seem to have change the aiming [ Maybe it's just me ] on your curve(s). Just though I'd throw it out there.^^ This pls! Atleast confirm all is good. Even with STv2 and after the new patch.
My Boy R3MiX asked for an update.....You @#$% well give him one!
;D ;D
Winnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnie
I will say this, I haven't even played "The Taken King" DLC yet.All is just better. Just a little thing as infuse 1:1 instead of having 100 of infuse gear to get your current gear up in light. Its more rewarding for doing stuff outside the raid.(you dont even need do the raid anymore) Your everyday things in destiny is just so much nicer now.
So there's a chance ... 8)
What was the April update?
^^^Haha, even if i like bf4 I think Destiny deserve it more. ;)
Let me rez snipe that thread. ........
Headshot!....BF4 revival down!

All right, so I dusted off Destiny, threw it in the XB1 and downloaded the Taken King. First off, the game has changed ALOT. I haven't played since the first DLC dropped (whenever that was). I'm loving all the changes, yet at the same time I'm feeling a bit lost. I'm going to have to do some research just to find out how to upgrade equipment and what's up with the currency, etc. Hmmm ...WOHOO!! He is back!![emoji322][emoji122][emoji1]
I'm still using the Sniper from the Iron Banner and the Last Word. What those were the go to weapons when last I played, haha.
Anyways, I played for a couple of hrs. today. Mixed it up from bounties on Venus and some PvP. Utilizing the before mentioned weapons, I definitely noticed Aim Assist felt a lot stronger then what I remembered. I really struggled on both accounts trying to get head shots. I'm looking into some modified curves for ADS but it'll be awhile. I still like my HIP curve although I did eliminate the 500 boost and I use Steady Aim while in HIP.
I've also started another thread to discuss this with OBsIV. I would suggest you guys take a look at it and add your thoughts and findings. If you didn't know, the beta firmware utilizes STv2 which seems to be amplifying Aim Assist which is what I believe is causing the issue's a lot of you have been talking about in this thread. Which is why I decided to revisit the game in the first place.
I'm going to be running some test between STv1 and Stv2, with and without Steady Aim to try and figure this out. It will probably take some time though as I may just buy another XIM4 so I can easily bounce between the two. My early conclusion though is that YES, the game does feel different with STv2.
Cheers!

Hey guys, unfortunately my time has run out (for gaming). I'll be back at it probably around the beginning of July.
I'll leave you with this RAW curve for ADS and a suggestion on managing Aim Assist. I also believe OBsIV is going to take a second look at Steady Aim and see if anything can be done to insure it's behaving as STv1 would.
My Suggestion ...
- Try to push yourself to play at the highest sensitivity that you can control and with as high of DPI as you can. My personal preference for DPI and this game is still 8000, beyond that and it gets too Jittery for me. My testing has proven to me that High sens and high DPI do help combat AA. Unfortunately it can change the overall feel of the game and may push you a little out of your comfort zone. But remember the ability to control fast turns isn't only going to help combat AA it is also what really separates us from the controller users and the faster your movement is the greater the advantage you will have against them.
Here's the curve, sry I didn't have more time to spend with this as I was running other test. But this felt better to me then my prior curve. I also tried thepRo's curve and although it wasn't aggressive enough for me, I would suggest that others give it a go. You never know until you try.
Add as much Sens to this as you can control and see how it works for you.

That's not a bad idea or you could use a key that you activate a sniper profile with your pinky and lower the XIM Sens for better long range micro movements. Also possibly add some accel to the end of the curve for when you are zoomed in and you find it necessary to stay zoomed in but you want to snap to another target. The possibilities are endless. Once I get home from this vaca I'll jump on and start getting the creative juices flowing. I'll use your original profile setup as my starting point if you don't mind RML.
Yea making multiple deactivation keys works best. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of for toggle is that things happen in the heat of the moment so if its stuck on the wrong profile that can be very irritating!! Things like toggle for Vehicles is amazing I just find that for me personally I don't like to toggle for weapons. That's not a bad idea or you could use a key that you activate a sniper profile with your pinky and lower the XIM Sens for better long range micro movements. I've done this before just by using the 'change weapon' button as the activation (with toggle) for a seperate sniper only curve and use another mouse button as a deactivation key

I went back to that version but @#$%, having to convert the code to the older curve and doing the buttons all over was a pain.
First post, but been using xim on destiny for a year or longer now. Never thought I'd feel a difference by downgrading firmware to 20141114.
Feels alot more crisp and clean. My sniper shots that felt like they should of hit do now.
I'm new to the keyboard and Mouse world so my appolgies if this is a bad question. Everything I hear is aim assist is bad for mouse and KB play.if that is correct I should use weapons with low aim assist to help counter its affect. By doing this I would have to have a less aggressive curse to battle aim assist.
Or is aim assist overall a good thing and helps me while I try to work against it in some areas?
Is there a way to back up my xim 2016 setups?
Im tempted to roll back to 2014 but id lose my bf4 cod and halo and whatever else i have!
Scary!
Do you think we could get the STv2 retrained for Destiny? Playing with it just feels off compared to STv1. I can't go back because I swapped my Android phone for an iPhone.
I really want to try STv1 to put in my 2cents, but I have like 4-5 active games I play using the XIM and am too lazy to re-set all my configurations....but we'll see...maybe I'll just revert, try some destiny, and decide from there.
It is nice I can back-up my current set-up before doing it.

Unfortunately that curve feels no where near as good as STv1 does with my old curve.
Hi can you please let me know the name of that Sony stick you are using I can't seem to find it anywhere
What is your HIP and ADS sens? Im at 6000dpi , 500 polling. My sens is 15 hip and 10 ads. That's plenty speed for me. Did you max your in game sens?

My HIP is at 70 and my ADS is at 40 with DPI at 8000 and Report Rate at 500. This feels pretty slow for me still though. I also have the settings set to 10 (max) in game with Auto Aim Assist.
My question is, to make my Hip and ADS move faster with out the jitteriness what settings should I change? sensitivity of mouse on IOS XIM4 Manager app? Or should I raise my DPI and or Report Rate for mouse onboard memory?
I appreciate your response by the way. Hope you or anyone might be able to help me out. Would like to try and go FLAWLESS in Trials for my first time. http://xim3.com/community/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif

I just bought a G502 and cannot map G7 or G8. How do I map them? Is it something special or are the buttons broke?
I downloaded the latest firmware and now my Iphone Xim 4 Manager won't work. It says the manager is out of date. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. No go. Any ideas?

I'm actually on xbox one. I also can't configure the 2 extra buttons on my g502 spectrum that are to the left on top of the mouse by the left click. I have the TestFlight firmware and the firmware that ends in 20. (iOS)
I'll have to try that when I get home.
I have another question. With RML's current configure, what sniper scopes only compliment it and which scopes work against it?
Sorry for the million questions. Recently just purchased this amazing product and want to configure it just perfect. I'm having tons of fun playing now with M&ok. Hands no longer cramp on controller.

Have you tried editing the button functions with the Logitech Software? For those buttons I went into the profile editor, changed the button from default to a Multikey, and assigned those buttons to a random key. So for example I assigned one of the buttons to "B" in the Logitech profile editor, and then when I'm creating a XIM profile, it recognizes the mouse button as B.
I'm going to give RML's newest curves and configuration with the beta firmware two thumbs up.
Here's my highlights from Trials this weekend. I hit a lot more crazy shots than I normally would have.

These are the settings I used.
leaked trailer shows gjallarhorn is back in a black chrome color as a preorder bonus.
Can someone explain the G502 command editor to me? Where are those commands coming from? num 1, num 2, etc...
Alright, so i figured out how to change the mouse button into a key stroke, so my new question is, is there a way to manually set the delay for the multi keys?
Sorry if I miss something, but how do you put the code?
I already clicked the three dots to open the drop down. It showed something but not something I can paste code into..
It's a checkbox "Notify Settings Activation" and "Notify Turn Speed Exceeded"
How do I put the codes?
Thankyou

Okay new XIM4 user, I'm deciding on the cosair m65 (old one) max 8200 DPI And the g502... Which would be smoother for destiny? Will 8200 DPI be enough? Cuz I think 11 buttons on the mouse are pretty excessive... But who knows I could just get used to it, but I will be using a keyboard not a joy stick... I'm worried about the sprint/ and slow turning cap speed for destiny.. Also the super use as well since I play night stalker exclusively. ANYTIPS PLEASEEEEE. I've watch numerous videos and ppl like "dr lupo" who is a streamer with xim4.
Man I love my XIM4. I've just recently got back into Destiny (thanks to some of you) and even though I've been away for about 6 months I'm still pulling off MVP's in most of my IB matches. I'm barely at 300 light and I have crap weapons. I mean I'm using an auto rifle in the IB for god sakes.
Anyways, quick question for you guys. Since all of my old weapons are outdated, what should I be looking to upgrade or acquire for PvP.
I like to snipe and use Hand Cannons mostly. I can get The Last Word (upgraded), when I get enough marks but is it still a good weapon? I've heard there's been alot of buffs/Nerfs while I've been away.
A few weapons I've heard thrown around Red Death, 1000 Yard Stare? What's the best Hand Cannon now and how do I get it?
The only decent weapon I have right now is Patience and Time. Is 1000 yard stare better or is it just better in the sense that I can use an Exotic for primary instead?
Appreciate the help.

Does the curve used here for ADS fight against AA?
I would have assumed for Destiny you dont want to negate the AA as it allows you to do some frankly silly drag snipes hence why is use an LDR as although the AA is not as high as Longbow it has larger magazine by default.
I play a lot of PVP RML so add me if you need someone to run with.
Cool, I'm on Xbox though. I'll send you a friend request next time I'm on. I'm really needing peeps to do raids with. I haven't done any with Taken King yet so it's hard to pair up with randoms on the Destiny website. Everyone wants people with experience and higher light levels (I'm 304), can't say I blame them, but that pretty much leaves me out in the cold. Most of my friends have moved on to The Division.
I have noticed there's still ALOT of players though, the Tower is always booming. Probably even more so then the last time I played. It may just be due to the Iron Banner, IDK. I just have to make some new friends. :)
Any tips on how to get a Hawkmoon? Do Exotic bounties even exist anymore? Ugh ...Did you ever get one in year 1? If so you can just buy the year 2 hawk moon, if not, they drop as all exotics do now (3 of coins helps). No more exotic bounties . I just got one last week from oryx

Hi RML, I want to ask you a question: Do you think that your curves could work with other mouse than G502, to combat Destiny's AA?
P.S. Do you suggest also to "combat" Destiny's AA with XIM4, or it's better to have it?
RML,
I am using your setting and I love it.QuoteAny tips on how to get a Hawkmoon? Do Exotic bounties even exist anymore? Ugh ...About Hawkmoon, you can get those easy just do not forget pop 3 coins. COE, Raid even crucible
it is RNG so Good luck
Hi RML,
This entire thread has just been an immensely helpful tool to configuring the XIM4 for Destiny. Thank you so much for all your hard work! I started out a very high sensitivity and would copy and paste your settings and curves without a second thought. The more I play however, the more I find myself using lower and lower sens and reverting back to a linear curve.
For most PC shooters where there is no aim assist, low sensitivity and 1:1 movement are paramount. The lower sensitivity improves aim at the cost of speed. Most pro FPS players will play at a sensitivity where a full 360 requires anywhere from 30-50cm of movement. This means for rapid turning they are moving their entire arm. Wrist movements are reserved for fine movements when locking onto an enemy. For most people, having to move your entire arm across the mousepad to complete a turn is unnatural and exhausting, but ultimately I think it results in better aiming ability if you reserve the fine wrist movements for lining up a headshot. A game with aim assist allows you to use a higher sensitivty than otherwise practical because aim assist will create some stickiness that slows down your reticle as you reach the desired point. So essentially, at a higher sensitivity aim assist can operate to help your aim but doing what its intended to do.
Using a low sensitivty in games with aim assist like Destiny will punish you as you need to make a more dramatic movement to fight against the "stickiness" that aim assist provides. This introduces a variable as your mouse movements are going to be modified by the aim assist effect. The curves allegedly fight against the "stickiness" by increasing velocity at lower speeds, but they also introduce an element of unpredictability, as the velocity will increase not only when aim assist is affecting you, but across the board.
The detriment to a low sensitivty is slower turn speed and is not ideal for weapons like shotguns where lookspeed is more important than aim. This problem is compounded by Destiny's crap turn speed, especially the molasses turn speed while running. But I do believe that learning to make "arm turns" instead of flicking your wrist can compensate for that. Once you get used to using your whole arm and not just wrist for turning, you minimize the disadvantages of a low sens.
Ultimately I've realized that it's much easier for me to deal with a linear curve, because I will have 1:1 movement except when I need to compensate in situations where I know aim assist will kick in, i.e. when I am locking onto a target. I am slowly finding a linear curve to be preferable and more predictable than a ballistic curve where I cannot necessarily predict when the velocity increase will happen as I do not intuitively know the speed I'm moving and or when the curve will change velocities. This is just pure speculation on my part, but I think the reason why thepr0's ADS curve has become very popular here is that it is much more linear than other curves people have previously used.
Anyway, just some food for thought for anyone searching for that "perfect curve." Try out linear curves and learn to compensate on your own for aim assist, without a ballistic curve. You might find that you like it. Thanks to everyone who has put so much work into making our Destiny experience better :)
So I have been playing around with this XIM4 since I got it a few weeks back and trying to get it configured right with Destiny and still having all kinds of issues with mouse movement speed.
It's taking me multiple scrolls across my mouse pad to make a single rotation, anyone have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? I copied and pasted the config from this thread and the figures look the same but obv I'm missing something.
I am using a Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum and G13 for my keyboard, I'm on X1.
any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Hey mate,
I have copied your set up except i have removed the steady aim feature as i have been advised it is not recommended for Destiny.
Do you feel your last word is a little off? I feel i miss shots i normally should not. Not sure if ballistic curves have anything to do with this.
Thanks.

My Mouse sensitivity is set to 300. I have no idea how you would turn faster than a snails pace with 25. I do have in game sensitivity at 100 btw.

Anything over 100 Xim sensitivity loses fidelity due to interpolation.
This isn't PC gaming where you can get away with 800 DPI. Maximise your mouse DPI for Xim to get closest to the raw input from its sensor.
I do notice a big different between 300 and 100. 300 is much better IMO. As for DPI mine is set at 12,000 which is max on the Logitech g502.
I'm open to suggestions but in 6 months of playing with settings frequently this is what I've concluded.
hello and ty for the great work and passion u spent in this thread.
i bought xim for overwatch and destiny and after a long break on this last game, which i was playing with playstation4 pad, i choosed to give it another shot with the new dlc release.but also have loooooots of doubts and im totally noob about xim configuration so i have some questions.
1 in the first page there r lots of configs to copy and paste but i really dont understand which is the one to copy, all ? or what ? there is a final version to copy which works better than the previous ? and if i have to copy more than one like for hip, ads etc etc do i have to switch them by pressing a button or the xim recognize the configuration by itself according to what happens in game ?
im totally honest i didnt read all 49 pages of the thread could u make it easier for the biggest noob of the forum ? what do i have to copy and paste and how does it works in game exactly ?
a big big thank you
I've been away for a little while. I'm going to do a MAJOR makeover of the Original post very soon. I have a completely different (more ANAL then ever) setup now. :)

Does it involve getting DP'd?
Hey man ! it`ll be great if you can make a Keyboard version of your config for Noobs like me :$ . Will highly appreciate the spoon feeding ;D

I don't do KB's sry. There are tons of Key boarders around here that may share their secrets though.
BTW, do you guys think I should just start a new thread? I'm not sure I want to erase everything in the OP. Most of it is out of date though.

What's your DPI and sens settings?

I just bought my first XIM a few days ago, it was great! Plug and play after downloading a standard config for Destiny and Gears of War 4. I decided to see what else I could do and found this thread. This looks amazing and surprisingly not overwhelming for how much information is here! Now my question.
I have a G502 mouse, but I use a Logitech G13 keypad instead of a nav and want to map my keys differently. If I go through and set your curves the way they are with the activation and deactivation keys, create the macros in LGS and bind them to different keys will it work like your set up or does you code need to used?

Sensitivity and bindings can be tweaked to your liking. The code is just a starting point, with the Ballistics Curves being the defining feature.
Question, in game settings in Destiny.. Do i need to change look sensitivity?
Does anybody know what destiny settings I should use? I just got an xim4 and I wanted to practice in destiny pve but the images from this thread are gone
Make a new Destiny config and copy/paste my entire config into it. Then you can either use that or draw from it to add to your setup and delete it when you're done.
BTW, sry bout the pics, they were accidentally deleted. I'm not to happy about it either, lot of work there... >:(
Thanks for staying on top of this for so long. shows lots of dedication
Thank you,RML, for posting these updated settings! I will definitely try them in trials today. That sprint curve looks really interesting.
I enjoy it, it's my first time playing with curves with destiny and it feels better. I have a question for you RML, what was your goal with pve curve? You're using the same sens for both ads, so pve is faster than pvp. Does the pve curve have more anti aim than the pvp one?
Hi this is my first reply but I have been looking at the forums for a while.
Firstly thankyou for this advanced setup and your other setups RML they are really good, quick question how do I switch from pve ads to pvp ads??
I have bought a Xim4 this weekend and I am trying to set up the setting atm. I already managed to getting Xim4 running with my hardware (PS4, Zowie FK1 and Corsair STRAFE). Your settings are looking good and also pretty comprehensibly. I have learned a lot and I want to use them. There is just one thing I am not understanding. You have got Hip and Sparrow setting. Also you have Aim Down Sight (PVE) and Multiplayer Ads (PVP) settings. How does Xim4 know which one to use? I mean for PVE an PVP Ads you have an activation, but it is the same button, right? The same thing with Hip and Sparrow. How does Xim4 know I am riding a sparrow?
No worries, I'll be creating a new thread for Destiny 2. :)Hi!
Hey RML the revive time is 4 seconds that I know of in pvp, just a heads up. Less than 4 seconds if you have quick revive such as alpha lupi or LBN. You might get away with 3.5 seconds, but that you'll have to test. I'm almost sure it's set at 4 seconds min.
so i just bought a g502. play on 4000 dpi and a cloth pad. around 50 sens and i use one of your curves. Biggest question is. How can I turn faster? Such as 180s . Just increase my sens alot?
hey RML are you going to play the destiny 2 beta early access? how long do you think it will take you to come up with a profile for destiny 2 beta? is there any way to use your destiny profile for the destiny 2 beta?
As someone who has been using default since..always (since shortly after release and I got my Xim4)
THANK YOU. Dear god... why did I Not do this before.... Its so much more crisp. It really removed a lot of the "Soupyness" of the aim, which I was just used to and played fine with, but now, oh my. Oh my oh my oh my.
Hey, just got my xim4 this week and tried out your settings. Everytime i aim it's so slow though!! What should i do?
Don't mean to intrude on a Destiny thread but RML, what was the formula to figure out this curve? I want to apply it on The Division but it's different mechanic, but similarly bad (slow turn speeds, aim assist bubble very prominent in CQC which feels like dragging through mud.
What was the trial and error process? At this point I'm tempted to remove the aim assist and just relearn to aim on my own with the mouse as I did 2 patches ago.
As we look forward to Destiny 2, I just wanted to poke in here and say thanks RML.
your efforts really made a difference in my ability to enjoy and excel in Destiny 1, and I truly appreciate all the time you take to share your experiments and knowledge.
If you're ever in the Hudson Valley NY I'd love to buy you a beer my friend.
cheers, and thanks again Guardian.
Based off the beta, I believe it will be possible to use linear with hip. I will still be using a curve for ADS though, purely due to Aim Assist.
You discussed building muscle memory, etc. IMO, this is only important for HIP because HIP doesn't have the massive slow down effects like ADS does for Aim Assist. You can only build muscle memory to something that can be repeated on a consistent basis. I would argue that AA when combined with net code, lag, etc. pretty much destroys linear movement and therefore doesn't apply to ADS aiming. For me, all that matters is how my ADS aim feels and respond's, when engaging AA at different ranges, speeds, etc.
Many have said (including Admin) that curves eliminate linear movement, and I don't disagree, it is true! However AA also eliminates linear movement, or I should say "consistent movement" by drastically slowing your movement when your cross hairs are close to a target. So I ask, when Aiming down the sights. What really feels closer to linear or "consistant movevment" while engaging a target? No curve that slows drastically near target, or a curve that helps maintain velocity when hitting the AA bubble?
Is too much AA a bad experience when using xim?
And what about ingame setting? Max look sensibility all the time?
Hello RML !
What is Kpad3 for you ?
Regards
S
Welcome to the community, both of you! :)
Make sure you're running the latest firmware, that should fix your copy/paste issues.
Issues arises as soon as I try to apply/paste your code/settings. I watched your "Copypastewholesetup"-video from YT.
When I press the Paste-button in the Xim4 Manager I get a red "warning triangle" instead of the green "Check", and obviously no data is being pasted.
I've used both manual Copy as well as "Select"-Copy as you suggest.
Thanks to the NEW "Config Deactivation" keys that OBsIV created for ADS toggle, we can now easily dismount the Sparrow and deactivate the Sparrow config, without help from LGS. All you need to do is assign a deactivation key, then assign the same key to the reload button under secondary button bindings.
Hi RML,
I checked your setup and video but want to ask you regarding:QuoteThanks to the NEW "Config Deactivation" keys that OBsIV created for ADS toggle, we can now easily dismount the Sparrow and deactivate the Sparrow config, without help from LGS. Does this mean that I set Sparrow activation key to (R)-button which is reload for me and deactivation key to (R) also in the Sparrow subconfig?
And then setting (R) button in the HIP Primary / Secondary config?
Sry guys, been really busy last few days haven't had much fun time. In regards to the questions about Sparrow.
I prefer using a macro for Sparrow so that you can Summon, Mount and activate the config with a single button press. But, you don't have to. You can use any button you chose to activate the Sparrow config. However you'll have to Summon, Mount and then activate your Sparrow config while on the Sparrow. Also, make sure you check the Toggle box for your Sparrow config so that you don't have to hold down the activation key while riding it.
As far a dismounting the Sparrow goes, it's really simple guys. Pressing the reload button while on the Sparrow will cause a dismount. So all you have to do is add the reload button to your deactivation keys within the Sparrow config. This will then cause you to dismount and simultaneously deactivate the Sparrow config putting you back in Hip.
You DONOT want to use any other button to dismount the Sparrow unless you also add that button to the deactivation keys. Otherwise you will dismount and still be using the Sparrow config while on foot.
The only buttons that will cause a dismount is Reload and Jump. I prefer to use reload so that I'm not jumping off the Sparrow. So I also change my button layout and remove jump from the Sparrow config so that I can't accidently push it and dismount without deactivating the Sparrow config. I use RC on the mouse to Jump because I'm a NAV user. So for Sparrow instead of assigning A (jump) to RC, I assign Turn Assist to RC which makes riding the Sparrow even easier and more enjoyable IMO.
I've added a Full config Copy/Paste code to the OP. So you can now easily paste my whole setup and modify the button layouts to your liking.
Cheers! :)
Btw... not everyone enjoys using Advanced Settings. You can play without them and just crank up your sensitivities. It's not as enjoyable IMO, but it can be done.

So do i just copy/paste the first code you posted? Do i need to make ads, sparrow profiles?
Thanks for the Sparrow info RML.if you find a nice balance let me know, i've been having similar troubles striking a good balance, so i've taken to just not sprinting in situations ill need to turn heavily
I tried your setup last night and most of the things feel nice except for the Sprint turn speed, I can't seem to find a comfortable setting.
When I hold down Sprint (LShift) the sensitivity increases a lot and the movement feels great at this time but when I return to HIP the sensitivity decreases a lot which makes it difficult to aim properly.
Haven't found any nice balance to make the Sprint > HIP transition smoother :(

Hey guys. I really want to use this config but when i paste it and want to look the config i do not know what keys are in use. What are the keys e.g. j9 (green)? Is that joystick?

Used his setup last night and enjoyed it. Not perfect but way more than enough until an official one comes out, in case that one is better.
You should create a new profile and then add the Hip, ADS and Sprint configurations. Definitely all needed.
Does this happen to anyone? In D2 wgenever i try to dismantle a weapon it keeps cancelling when i hold down the square button to dismantle (i have square binded to r)
Does this happen to anyone? In D2 wgenever i try to dismantle a weapon it keeps cancelling when i hold down the square button to dismantle (i have square binded to r)
i think that has to do with the mouse movement, because the mouse moves and the cursor moves that's why it cancels the dismantle, try to not move your mouse while dismantling. it happened to me a lot until i figured it out.
Interesting I'll give this whirl - I'll make sure to take my hand off the mouse next time I try to dismantle something. Loving D2 so far, but then I really liked D1 so probably no surprises. Looking forward to seeing what magic Mist can weave with the ST.
I don't understand :(
I first loaded in the one that creates the 4 profiles (HIP/ADS and so on).
But then when i try to load each individual profile it doesn't change anything?

Im talking manager.
So I load the "Entire setup code: ", but the values are different from the ones that posted under that (where you posted 4 codes, one for each HIP/ADS...)
EDIT: Thanks for taking the time to answer.
These setups and curves have been amazing, thanks so much for all the info
Hi there RML - I've been a long time user/modifier of your curves and settings. I've come back from a long hiatus, and I swear I noticed you now do the opposite with your y/x ratios. Didn't they used to be set to give more sensitivity to the y axis? What prompted the change? Or am I just mis-remembering? I'd love to understand the benefit you're feeling from it too, as I'm struggling to really FEEL the difference I thought I did in the past when adjusting that setting. Thanks!
Note - I am on most recent firmware and everything.
G502 can go up to 12000 DPI. What are the advantages and disadvantages of running 12000 DPI vs the 4000 used in this ST?

I am referring to the DPI and polling rate of RML's setup so this would be the right thread. I wanted to know if there was a specific advantage to specific DPI and polling #s or if its just personal preference.
I don't believe I have. I'll update my D2 setup thread when I get a chance.
I take it Remix is a clan?
Hi. I was looking to test your config, but I can't see any codes in the first post.
Why there're no config codes?
First time trying an advanced config but felt like I had to give a go with the slow movements of the standard config. Everything feels good until I ADS. I seem to have some uncontrollable movements (even if I don't move the mouse) and continue until I return to hip. Anyone had this? I have changed the bindings as I tried on K&M so wondering if I have missed a mapping or something?

So, why try an advanced setup? Here are some of the benefits you will enjoy with my Destiny setup that you don't have with a basic ST. This isn't any fault of XIM4, Destiny just has a poor look mechanic and a low turn speed cap.
- Faster movement and more responsive controls while Running or operating a Sparrow.

How to use these setups like a champ!
Step One: ADS and overcoming the massive Aim Assist in this game.
- 1st IF USING A KB DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE THE ADS ACTIVATION KEY!!

Step Two: Sprint
- Use a separate config for Sprint.
- Assign an activation key to it.
- Add sensitivity until turning feels comfortable to you. For me this is typically about 2.5x my Hip sensitivity. Also make sure you’re using the Hip Translator (which it should by default).
- I suggest using Hold behavior instead of Toggle for the Sprint config (which it does by default). There’s a couple of reasons I do this. It creates less confusion about what config is active and also the game likes to suddenly stop sprinting sometimes and suddenly you’ll be turning at insane speeds. This also occurs when jumping. So train yourself to hold the button while sprinting and releasing when you stop or jump.
- Use an activation Delay for Sprint. I use 250ms. This is used to avoid jitter when activating your Sprint config.
Step Three: Sparrow
- As with Sprint, you should use a separate config with Sparrow as well.
- Assign it an activation key.
- Set this config to Toggle mode.
- Use Hip Translator (does by default).
- Raise sensitivity until movement speed is sufficient, typically 3x Hip sensitivity.
- I suggest using Turn Assist with the Sparrow. Assign it to an easy to access button. I assign Turn Assist to Right Click.
- Use Reload as a Deactivation key for this config. Then ONLY use Reload to unmount the Sparrow. The reload key will then deactivate the Sparrow config and simultaneously dismount the Sparrow, putting you on foot and in the Hip config.
- If your mouse has macros you can create one that will Summon, mount and activate the Sparrow config with a single button press. When I played ALOT of Destiny that’s what I did. Now I just activate the Sparrow config after mounting it manually, it’s a 3 button press action but rather easy and intuitive once you get used to it.
Cheers
Is this the latest setting ? Been a while since i visited this thread .I copied this settings successfully, however the boost values are not showing up in any configs. Curves are present btw
Thank you , working flawlessly . I added some very minor tweaks to it. What about SAB ?
I am used to kb now , Mind suggesting a value for SAB for keyboard user? At present i am rocking 100 both hip and ads
Anyone have a good setup for the Xim4 or would going off what is posted work just as well with some personal adjustments ?
Hi rml, I've just been reading your updated anti aim assist setup theory over on the other thread where you recommend off sync as the best sync to cut through AA. Is there a reason you use default over off sync for destiny 2?
Thanks
Anyone have a ballistics curve to damp down the machine gun and auto-rifle recoil? Thinking of running 2 D2 configs, this one (or my slightly different one) and one for serious verticle reticule issues like SMG.
So, why try an advanced setup? Here are some of the benefits you will enjoy with my Destiny setups that you don't have with a basic ST’s. This isn't any fault of XIM. Destiny games just has a lower then normal turn speed cap and an insane amount of Aim Assist.
- Faster movement and more responsive controls while Running.
- Faster movement and more responsive controls while riding Sparrow.
- More responsive character movement and better managed Aim Assist.
- Ballistic curves to help with turning and combating AA.

Cheers
Full config code gives you my entire setup, sensitivities, button layout, curves, Hip, ads, Sprint and Sparrow configs.
Final update coming this weekend, I have a brand new set of ADS curves I’ve been trying out that I’m pretty excited about.

Actually I know exactly what you mean and 4 does come very close to that line if not breaks it on Ads.
Which is why I use 3 ;)
But I’m still testing too.
Been using #4 on hip/ads since you posted it in the apex thread, The hip feels amazing once I got the sens right. I get a very small amount of AA but it's definitely noticable. Im using off sync and 500hz too
OK, so it's a hard no from me on using curve 4 for ADS. Exactly what we were talking about earlier.. shots don't land despite the crosshairs being firmly planted between the eyes of another player. Just inconsistent. Switched back to curve 3 and the difference was night and day. I can also say that curve 3 is far better than your previous aim assist curves (which were already great). So for me, it's 4 hip and sprint and 3 ADS. Sterling work RML!
On a side note, I've often wondered if some of the perks on armour can work against the AAA curves on Xim.. for example, Enhanced Hand Cannon Targeting, Target Adjuster mods, even high aim assist weapons...
I wonder if removing as much aim assist from a weapon as possible which actually aid the AAA curves or whether they work in a different way altogether. I might try a few matches with and without target acquisition mods and see if there's a noticeable difference. What do you think? Could they work against one another?
Which curve are you using for ADS?
Curve #4, I am going to give the other 2 a try today see how the compare though
Is this what's Coors does to you ? Those curves seems like they were made while you were drunk. LOL. JK.
Very interesting curves. Was looking at going back to Destiny and saw this thread got bumped so I decided to check it out. Those curves look hella different from the old D2 curves. Did they change the look mechanics or something?
Definitely will test them out once I can get my XIM and PS4 to play nice. As always great job!

I look forward to your feedback. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. This is quite a leap forward, it's by far the best Destiny has ever felt for me personally!
Cheers! ;)

Hello sir,
You on default sync? 500hz? Any boost? Any smoothing? 12kdpi? Sensitivity?
I will test but want to keep my settings close to yours so that i can give you feedback that's relative to what you are experiencing.
X
Oh that's interesting.. I'm sync Default. I wonder what sort of difference that will make switching to Off.... hmmmm.
You also might want to try C1 on ADS with Sync off.. Lol :)
You also might want to try C1 on ADS with Sync off.. Lol :)
Will do that now. I just immediately went back to Default Sync with Curve 4 Hip and Sprint and Curve 3 ADS and that is most definitely the one. It's just beautiful. I can't thank you enough, it's the best this game has ever felt (and I've used Xim since Destiny 1).
My personal take only, but I recommend everyone use Default Sync, Curve 4 with Hip and Sprint and Curve 3 with ADS. My sensitivity settings are: Hip 10 (Boost 500), ADS 6.25 (with Y/X 1.25) and Sprint 21.50. 12k DPI and 1000hz polling. It's magical.

Thanks for sharing chris. Have just finished an evening of comp and can say i prefer sync off to sync default. I orefer less aim assist.
Really enjoyed this from rml
Currently:
12000 dpi
1000hz
Sync Off
HIP - 84 + C4
ADS - 56 + Y/X 1.25 + C3
Sprint - 200 + C4
Sparrow - 200 + C4
I use nav, my tip would be dont forget to strafe left and right to proc aim assist. I find left stick movement as important as mouse and conciously remind myself to adjusy using the left stick.
As for the new curves, they definately cut through AA very well and removing boost provides a more stable and predictable experience.
Thanks
100%, hip currently feels exactly like I'm playing an FPS on PC. It's amazing how much better it feels compared to your original curve, when I already thought that was as good as it gets. Very precise, very 'zippy' and feels like the mouse movements I make are represented on screen 1:1.
What makes you think the ADS is not quite as good in your opinion? Is it the increased aim-assist whilst aiming down sights or do you think it's just the way the game slows the reticle whilst ADS'ing?
(That's not me complaining about the curve whilst ADS by the way, just referencing your post when you talk about how good hip is!)
I have gotten about 8 hours of playtime with these curves today and I have to say HIP has blown me away. I have really liked it. That is coming from someone who plays on default sync with a 3200 dpi mouse (haven't tried off sync because I just cant aim as well with G305 and my numbers weren't possible when multiplied by 8 to change the sync). In my opinion though when playing on the lower DPI boost makes for a much better aim down sight experience. I hit a lot more headshots with it vs without and am also able to snap onto to targets just a little bit easier.

Yeah, for ADS it's meant to limit Aim Assist. The more aggressive the curve looks the less AA you will feel. That's by design so not a surprise. That will come down to user preference as far as how much AA you like. I would suggest trying C1 with ADS it will feel quite a bit stickier then C3. You may also want to lower your sensitivity as well. These curves when applied right will work better then Boost. Boost inflates the DZ which messes with Micro Movements.
Hi rml, i really want to have a go at creating my own curves, ive got an idea id like to try out but trying to execute this using the android app is tedious. How do you make your curves? Do you have access to a tool that makes this process easier?
OOO ok I see what you are saying I will test those out. Also do you feel for shotgunning it would help to make the X/Y axis also 1.25 for when you are trying to track hunters/players jumping through the air on hip? Was curious to see if you had tried anything like that.

Is this setup compatible with 20190719 firmware/manager?
Hey RML, real quick one, but occasionally I get a weird lag on my Sprint config... like it doesn't activate and my turn speed is slow. Is there a way around this? I use L stick pressed in to activate (L3).

Interesting! Definitely with you on your curve setup, they're beaut. The margins of difference I'm talking between Sync Off and Default are tiny, so I can totally see why it comes down to personal preference. It wasn't like Sync Off felt unusable, it just didn't feel like 'home' compared to Default. Just when flicking the crosshairs very quickly to a new target, Off Sync felt a little more unpredictable when it came to slowing the mouse after a flick and positioning for the follow up shot. Default just felt like I would flick to an enemy's head and when I stopped moving my mouse, the crosshair stopped moving instantly and my second shot was already lined up.
There's probably even more refinement I can do, trying out curves 1 and 2 and dialling in sensitivity and boost but it just feels so perfect to me that I'm not too fussed about going even more meta.
Im using the nav also. My ? is how do you use the without clicking on the thunbstick. How can i make it automatic
Hi rml , i have found a weird issue with the set up which i am having at the moment. My in game sens is 9.25 hip and 5.69 ADS , i only use COMMON SYNC. The rest everything is as per as your recommended settings. So this sens gets me a 360 turn using hancanons at around 20 cms for hip and around 48 cms for ads . When i adjust my sens to get close to my 360 degree turn sens with your curves , my aim sways a lot ,its not steady at all while using the curves u recommended for ads. I loved the set up but am not able to use it in my ADS profile because of this issue. I tried curve 4 on hip and curve 3 on ADS profile
16 hours of playtime with these curves and I have to say its literally night and day. Destiny has never felt this good. RML I owe you a beer.
Im using the nav also. My ? is how do you use the without clicking on the thunbstick. How can i make it automatic
Just so I understand, what are you trying to do? Make sprint automatic? So you are constantly sprinting? Or make it so you press the left stick in once to sprint then press it again to cancel sprinting?
so do i read that as ads curve 1 being the weakest AA and 6 being the strongest?
hip 4 makes using boots without traction almost bearable
Just wanna say thank you to RML for this amazing config and the devotion he brings to this forum
When will you add your current setup? And many thanks for the the curves and configs that you have createdso do i read that as ads curve 1 being the weakest AA and 6 being the strongest?

The numbers are reflecting how aggressive the curve is at overcoming AA. 1 being the least aggressive (most AA feel), 6 being the most aggressive (least AA feel).
I can rename them maybe to help with the poll. I won’t have time till this weekend. IMO though. All you need is my current setup, which I’ll add later today.
Are you using the new curve #6 with this game too?
I can't find these curves
In the OP i can see only full config for D2
Can some point me to these curves

I removed them, I'll be updating within the next few days.
I am using your curves from your D2 full config, feels really good. I have been averaging a 2.0 KD in crucible with them, playing mostly comp and a little QP. Thanks for sharing them with us.
I wanna try your latest settings after I kinda hit a wall with the old config but I can't download the latest Firmware and Manager. Feelsbadman
Alright I am using your latest config now.
The biggest problem I have is still turning around. I just cannot turn and get the hell out quick enough in unfavorable engagements (talking about Crucible here).
I am usually playing to the strengths of using a Xim, I snipe and try to create some distance between me and the opponents. I also reached Legend this season and it wasn't even that hard. But in close quarters I feel like a bot. In high-comp there is just an absurd amount of Apes and I can't match their speed.
If I could only turn around just as fast as a 10 sens controller could....
I know the feeling only thing I did was find boots that have traction and It felt so much better for the turns makes things a lot easier.
Any ETA on the new curves? Currently using the ones on your D2 config, but you said your new ones are a big improvement. Can't wait to try them out.
1/2 a day to pound 1 out, you might want to see a doctor about that rml. :o

Man, this one's tough. I hate modifying configs all the time. I'm burning through alot of different games right now. So I really need a 1/2 a day to pound this one out. I'm close to posting my final settings though.

Take it easy RML
Take your time no need to rush
You been a great help to this community and you deserve to have all the time you need
cant wait for new settings. been using old setup with hip 4 and ads 3 and been loving it. if u improve on it it will be amazing
i have a question if someone can help. I have an issue with my apex playing destiny 2. i have a delay coming out of sprinting when i ADS, It doesn't happen a lot but enough to affect PVP play. I don't have any delay active on ADS
With cross save now a thing, i migrated my xbox one account over to pc.I was planning on testing this too Frash, thanks for the confirmation. I don't have a 120Hz screen though, I'll wait until the next gen drops before upgrading to hopefully a 4K 32" 120Hz monitor.
I plugged the xim apex into my pc and it was plug and play with your settings rml.
120hz refresh rate plus 95 field of view makes the game play super smooth. Its such an upgrade and the apex works wonders.
Does this work with beta release 20190719?

I'm pretty sure that's just a weird game mechanic and has nothing to do with XIM.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm glad this has helped so many users, on alot of different levels. Destiny has been a great game to showcase the many opportunities there are with XIM Apex and Advanced Settings to improve the overall gaming experience.
It's been a long road with Destiny for myself and this community, therefore I think it's fitting that I share what I'm about to say here, where it pretty much all began.
Alot of things have changed around here over the years. But one thing that has never changed is the level of support you can always find here. Here you will always find Amazing support for an amazing product! But every dog has it's day and I personally just have other things I need to attend to in my life.
No need to string this out, in the end it's very simple. It's time to take a break! I'm not sure if and when I'll be back. I'm only posting this because I know some of you rely on RML setups with alot of new games. I'm sorry to say, that won't be happening for awhile. I feel pretty good about the curves, guides and setups I've left here in the forums for you guys though. There's plenty here to get you through whatever struggles you're having.
Until next time... XIM ON!
Cheers!
RML
hi , i am using 1000hz instead of 500hz in xim apex. Does this make any difference?
Using 1000hz because i just donot want to unplug and plug xim apex back eveytime i play another game.that's configured to use 1khz.
Thank you.
Hey guys, so I used this config (or its equivalent) at Destiny 2's launch on PC. It worked great, minus the turn speed issue. With the games move to Steam, I'm thinking of picking it up again and had a few questions.
First, has any progress been made to mitigate the turn speed since 2 years ago or is it about the same?
Second, I ran with a XIM 4 back then. Will the XIM Apex make any difference when it comes to D2 on PC?
Thank you for your time!

I know for a fact RML was utilizing 1000hz, Sync Off and some curves prior to taking an extended vacation. Sadly, he never shared his current settings in the forum before leaving. I know it is nowhere near what's in the OP though. :'(
I've been kicking around the idea of making a comeback to D2. I would also love a 1k hz config if there is one. I know you (RML) probably don't want to re-explain an new config but if you got one you can just paste I could figure it out ;D
I Will try to update this over the weekend. The settings I was using a few months ago are not reflected in the OP.

Here you go. I haven’t touched it in months though. I’d also suggest trying these settings with Default Sync as well.Code: [Select]>>> XIM APEX [RML Destiny 2 ] START COPY >>>

I noticed RML runs his mouse at 1000hz polling but has the Apex set at only 500hz. I was wondering the reason for this.
Bro this config is cheating omgg :)) nice job. İ use it with 12 k dpi is it right ??
All this time on my hands these days, I may revisit this.

Please do mate, it would be much appreciated! :)

All that matters is that your mouse polling rate exceeds your Xims polling rate. But never the other way around or you’ll get stutter.Bro this config is cheating omgg :)) nice job. İ use it with 12 k dpi is it right ??

I’ll be adding a brand new setup as soon as I hear back from a member of the forum. He’s created an amaze-ball curve for handling Aim Assist. To give him proper respect and kudos, I’m waiting to hear what he’d like to name his new curve.
All I’ll say for now is this setup is the closest to a Call of Duty feel I believe possible with this game.
Coming soon...
Cheers!
Been waiting for an update for so long! Looking forward to this! RML u are and the member providing the new curve are legends! #madrespect
