I'm sorry that happened. Can you tell us what version of the firmware you were running?

It's the latest one that is not beta.

I don't have a android device so I have to hard plug it in via usb. I hit save config and the back button to go to main menu on xim manager then unplug usb from my laptop and back into ps4 and hope I don't get the white light of frustration.

It doesn't corrupt the config every time it likes to wait till I have made config a for all my games before it erases them.

I'm not the first guy with the problem I've read a few other posters on here have lost their configs too.

Btw sorry for the angry post it.  My config corrupted and I posted immediately without thinking what I was gonna say.

Hello,

I am also getting this corruption often.  Same exact scenario.

Any suggestion or help will be appreciated.  I have fallen into this trap at least three times now.

suggestion from me is to take a picture of all the sensitivities you set for each config/subconfig so when you lose them you aren't totally F'ed

No I don't blame you, I'd be really frustrated too -- that should never happen.

The latest Beta firmware and Manager fixes a number of issues that could cause a crash that would corrupt your Configs. This is version 2014114 and is located under Release Candidates within Downloads. Since you need to re-add your Configs, I highly suggest upgrading to this build if you can.

I'll give it a shot thanks!

Do you ever remember seeing your XIM4 show a solid white light before the corruption happened?

Also, even though it's not full backup/restore, please do check out the copy/paste feature for your Buttons and Mouse settings.

I've gotten the white light of frustration every time it has happened.

I never tried out copy and paste because the first few times it happened I thought it was my fault.  Once it's corrupted I can't go in a copy the config.

From now one I'll try the copy and past function.  It's the one you just drop it into a text document right?

Ok, that's the problem then. That white light is a crash and it's causing a write to your XIM4 to log the crash which is causing the corruption. The cause of that crash has been fixed in the latest Beta. Sorry that happened. The 20141114 is definitely what you want.

Mine has done this a lot too.  Annoying, and now I'm annoyed at myself for not using copy/paste lol.  I'm pretty sure mine was being caused by my iogear kvm. My fix has been to first unplug from the ps4, then press the button on the kvm.  I'm a bit Leary of other kvms now.  I'll update my xim also, I should pay more attention to the downloads section :)

It likely was being caused by your KVM. The latest Beta (v20141114) better supports KVM. When you use it, please be sure to go into Globals and set the "Enable USB device hot-swapping". Without that setting, your KVM won't work.

XIM Cloud would solve this, but i'm sure they will find the real issue quickly as well.

20141114 didn't fix your KVM issues? You are still getting a white light?

That is correct.

This is with the "Enable USB device hot-swapping" enabled, correct?

Yes, I have it enabled. It is intermittent, I got it to happen on the 8th try just now.  It only happens when switching from PC to PS4. This time I didn't get a white light, it just stayed on the color that I have it set to, but without the 'breathe'

How fast are you switching back and forth? If you wait around 10 seconds between switching, does it help?

I use the snipping tool in windows (8.1) to take snapshot of all my configs. Saves a lot of time if you have to reenter them.
