Hey guys, I'm a new user with XIM4 and the PC XIM4 Manager user. I'm hyped about playing HALO MCC on my XIM4, I have seen you will support the release on 11/11/14 does this mean you will release an update for XIM4 so we can connect to it or, does the date mean you will start making the update for XIM4?

They can only start making the ST's when game releases so will be a while after that date.

I have it preloaded now so the plan is to start training on Monday night at midnight. Training takes 12-24 hours per look mechanic and MCC has 4 look mechanics. So the usual estimate of less than a week after release will hold true.

Do you think there will four separate translators that we should to use for this game?  Meaning depending on what playlist we are playing, we may want to switch it?

yes this will most likely be inevitable unless you play a playlist that only runs one game
i recommend to use keyboard hotkeys

eg
F1 = H1
F2 = H2
F3 = H3
and so on

Any ideas of other ST's we can use until they are released? I considered the Xbox 360 versions of the games but I'm not sure about that since there are different buttons on the controllers.

Also, do you think the ST's will be easy to create/train (not sure of the lingo) since all the games are basically ports?

We already support three out of the four games but obviously MCC could have an altered look mechanic because of the new controller. Deadzones between last gen and current gen have always been different up to this point. I suggest using:

Halo 1/A - use the halo anniversary
Halo 2 - Try halo anniversary followed by the rest for the best fit
Halo 3 - Halo 3
Halo 4 - Halo 4

These are just suggestions so you should try what ever you have available if these turn out to not be a good fit.

Would be really cool if one worked, Halo 3 and Halo 4 are straight ports but like you said they could be different still, I'm hoping they could actually work.

Hello, The Halo 4 ST worked for me on H2A (It's my first XIM, i'm new to it) button binds didn't work correctly though even when bind and controller options set to default.

YouTube video's were extremely helpful as i'm a new user on XIM4, Tutorials by OBsIV

It seems like H2A's aim feels different than H2 Classic. Therefore, I think we need 5.

The problem was more about being out of power for hours throughout the day. Luckily the last time it only flickered off and then on again as I was going to bed so I could set up the trainer again and not lose a night of training.

When mist says sleeping or going to bed he means he closed his eyes and shuts down the lights, he isnt really sleeping like humans do, he just arranges his thoughts in a tactical manner do be as efficient as possible once he decides to open his eyes again

At least thats what you will figure when following mist via XBL ;)

One thing to note guys. There will be a 'Halo 2 Classic' and 'Halo 2' ST. 'Halo 2 Classic' should be used for campaign regardless of which engine you are using in campaign and classic maps. The 'Halo 2' ST should only be used for Halo 2 anniversary maps.

I'm testing out the new MCC STs that mist just created and they are excellent. This combined with 1080p/60fps Halo makes it feel like a whole different experience.

There are 5 STs and they are all significantly different.

*Halo: MCC uses five different Smart Translators. You will need to switch between configs depending on the game you are playing. Halo 2 uses a different look mechanic between Classic and Anniversary. The Halo 2 Classic Smart Translator is to be used for Halo 2 Classic multiplayer maps and the Halo 2 campaign. The Halo 2 Anniversary Smart Translator is to be used for Halo 2 Anniversary multiplayer maps only.

You are also required to set the maximum in-game sensitivity in each game and use the universal default button layout.

Good job mist, they feel good.  For halo 3 though the speed turn is crazy fast but still controllable.  But thnx for your hard work.  Now if 343 can finally fix MM >:(

Halo 3 has timed acceleration when you peg the stick. It's not ideal when you seek linear movement but it helps when the turn speed is low.

Same issue as with COD:AW: corrupt download.

Manager is not auto downloading, have to force the download, it then says its corrupted after it downloads.

Running the RC manager and firmware on Win 8.1.

The fix is to reinstall manager.

I think that's happening because Manager can't delete the file that's already there. Do you ever run as admin?

only when you want independent mouse speeds, the mechanic is the same as HIP
so if you are fine with the same speed you dont need a ADS sub config

Very newbish question.

The instructions for downloading the new ST's say to close the XIM Manager and re-open. That doesn't appear to be adding any new ST's. I'm using 20041006 firmware on the Manager and XIM4 itself.

I don't see any other entries for "MCC", "Master Chief", "The ...", etc.

What am I missing?

That's been reported before by two or three other people, do you use Windows 8.1?

I'm having the same problem. If I reinstall where do all my configs go? I don't want to. Re do them all that would suck.

Edit actually mine never says corrupted it just shows the loading bar with no progress.

Reinstalling Manager won't affect your Configs. Configs are stored on your XIM4, and when upgrading firmware on your XIM4, choose "Update" rather than "Restore".

It's a bit confusing... (I know it's me...  ::)) But do I read the last sentence right? I need to use Halo 2 Classic ST for Halo 2 Aniversary campaign?

Has anyone come up with a half decent curve for any of the MCC games yet? The STs with linear 1:1 are amazing but it is extremely sluggish trying to turn around quickly.

Really? I don't feel that at all. It's not CoD, but, I would never describe it as slow. What type of mouse are you using and what DPI?

2 weeks and 343 still has not managed to fix there games.

I simply don't understood how they could screw up so badly and not have fixed it by now.

Trying not to use immature obscenities right now but 343 sure is asking for them.

i played a total of 5 games matchmaking so far, all with a party of overall 2 people
from those 5 games we had to restart the whole game 3 times after each game
we felt like stopping after those games, too much effort to enjoy one game

how much better does it run in solo mode?

Not much better Odin tbh.

I've had just as much luck with a party of 2-3 as I have by myself. The variances of user experiences is interesting though. Real shame, not sure they can sort this in good time.

Hey everyone,

In both in H2A and H2C, my left trigger is mapped to Left Mouse button.  When I dual-wield however, my left mouse zooms instead. Help?

Be sure you're using the first in-game button layout. It should be called universal default (recon).

Left bumper picks up a second weapon for dual wield and once dual wielding the left trigger (throw grenade) will fire the weapon on the left. It's not ideal but this is the game is set it up.
