Faster movements in one direction then the other
« on: 10:15 AM - 07/10/18 »
After reading the fortnite thread about uneven movements and this post :

That's correct, nowhere near hitting max turn speed.

And another thing I noticed, I don't know if is useful but... doing several test this pattern shows up:

Is like everytime I restart the test, at a "new point A" I had a displacement

I thought I'd see if any other games I've played do the same, I have the same issues with black ops 3. As the image by Alan shows moving the mouse back to the same position its always off by a few cm.

I've tried different sync's, DPI and sensitivities but its always the same.
Just wondering if any one else is having the same issue?
In No way what so ever is it ruining the game or accuracy its just not great for muscle memory, just wondering if anyone can test and see if its the same.

I've also tried BF1 and it doesn't have this issue it always end up where I started.

We are really hard core about all of this and I can assure you that this isn't the case for BO3. We knew of this issue with Fortnite when we released the translator but did the best we could to mitigate it through the translator itself since it didn't look like that large of a discrepancy between aiming directions. Our tools we created to build translators have the ability to do the test as shown in alan's picture but with perfect accuracy (movement is generated by machine, not a human). Meaning, we know when a game's aiming system is off and CoD is never off. For the record, Fornite's non-symmetrical aiming system is rare.

I broke out the LEGO, built a block around my mouse put it flat against the ruler.
From the left to right it's 23cm for a 360 and from right back to the start position it's 21cm every time. I know Lego and a ruler can't compete with a machine but its best I can do to try and remove human error.
I've forced a library update in case their was a new ST (on the latest 4.3) I even created a new profile for black ops 3 tested again and its out by 2 cm every time.

What kind of mouse do you have?

A lot of mice have built in acceleration.
sudo apt-get install GoldenPistol

I'd appreciate if anyone else who has BO3 could try this and see if its the same for them.

Is it possible your controller stick is sticking slightly in one direction? It could be less than the game's deadzone so you won't see it, but it could affect your xim translation.

With Xim Link and ahk or with Titan 2 it is really easy to input precise commands, and then to measure the actual affect those outputs have on the game you can either view footage frame by frame or use a python library capable or pixel comparisons.

I don't think its my controller, I've tried with another and its exactly the same and when I do the same test in BF1 the movement is equal in both directions.
Like I said it doesn't stop me playing or enjoying the game, its just bugging me now that its doing it and its not suppose to be.
