PS3 navigation controller issues
« on: 07:13 PM - 06/08/18 »
I'm trying to use a PS3 move navigation controller with a XIM Apex and PS4. I'm using it wired to the XIM hub and it works great for maybe 5 minutes then either starts going erratic or stops working altogether. I have tried 2 different nav controllers and different USB cables. Batteries are fully charged. Do these actually work reliably with XIM Apex?

Do you need a Bluetooth USB stick for that to work? Couldn't figure out how to get controller to pair with XIM.

Nav's are prone to stability issues like this. It could be the nav itself, the nav port, a weak battery, or the amount of power your setup is attempting to draw as a whole. If you've tried two navs and multiple cables the next step would be to add a power adapter to APEX. I would recommend using it in wireless mode as well though. Here's how to do that.

NAV off
XIM off
Controller in XIM Port 3
NAV in XIM Port 1
XIM on
Connect manager and make sure NAV shows up
Unplug NAV
Confirm wireless NAV shows up in manager

Configuring it for wireless Bluetooth operation fixed the issue - used it wireless for an hour with no issues. Thanks.

Make sure its connected to the middle usb port to the xim apex usb hub? I use mine like this all the time no issues. Also wirelessly just sync it first, then disconnect.
