Welcome to the community. How often does it happen for you and is it the stick or buttons that you are experiencing lag?

It happens could be very soon after connection.  Sometimes it felt lag (like 2 seconds) or sometimes there is no response at all. The mouse works fine (G502)

Ok thanks, I wish there was a wired mode on these so that we could try that to better isolate the problem. Do you have any issues with Manager when communicating wirelessly with your XIM APEX?

Do you happen to have a Titan or Cronus device? I have a script that fixes this 100%

Iíve been using my script since XA came out and never get this anymore.
Setup: XIM Apex, Titan Two, Switch Joy-Con, Logitech G502, Razer mouse bungee, SteelSeries 4HD mousepad, DXRacer armrest, LucidSound LS30 headphones, Netduma router, Ubiquiti UniFi AP LR wireless access point

My setup (incl. Joy-Con mount): https://bit.ly/2jic7bG

Here you go! Set the sprint_threshold value to about 75. You'll also need to change the mappings to whatever Cronus uses, as this was written for Titan Two.

Code: [Select]
#define sprint_threshold -75.00

main {

// Inner deadzone
if(abs(get_val(STICK_2_Y)) > 5.00 && abs(get_val(STICK_2_Y)) < 15.00) {
set_val(STICK_2_Y, 0.0);
}
if(abs(get_val(STICK_2_X)) > 5.00 && abs(get_val(STICK_2_X)) < 15.00) {
set_val(STICK_2_X, 0.0);
}

// Outer deadzone
if(get_val(STICK_2_Y) <= sprint_threshold) {
set_val(STICK_2_Y, -100);
}
if(get_val(STICK_2_Y) >= sprint_threshold * -1.00) {
set_val(STICK_2_Y, 100);
}
if(get_val(STICK_2_X) <= sprint_threshold) {
set_val(STICK_2_X, -100);
}
if(get_val(STICK_2_X) >= sprint_threshold * -1.00) {
set_val(STICK_2_X, 100);
}
}

Thanks !  I hope I can translate to Cronus.

Having said that I still prefer Joy-Con can work with Xim Apex perfectly, this is why I bought Apex even I have a Xim4.

Yes I was pretty bumbed out at first because I got so excited about the Joy-Cons. But once I got it working with that script I've never had any issues. Hopefully it can be permanently fixed without a script.

It seems the problem is not uncommon. Does Xim offer any solution ?

piiwii, what does the script do? (i.e. what are you fixing?)

The first part of the script has nothing to do with this issue - it fixes the terrible deadzones that the Joy-Cons have. The deadzone setting in XIM Manager has never worked for me, but that's a separate issue.

The second part fixes the problem where the outer zone disappears completely. Where after a while, everything from about 75-100 just disappears. So I've coded it to make any value greater than 75 = max.

This is the issue we're having - over time the outer 25% of movement disappears and gives players the impression that there's some sort of lag (I've written about this quite extensively on the beta board, let me know if you'd like a link for more info).

This solution doesn't just "mostly" fix it - it has completely fixed it. I have literally not experienced this problem since, whereas before I was getting it 5-10 times a day.

Note that there's another issue with interference - when there's something between the Joy-Con and the XIM it still acts up, but simply removing the obstruction fixes it immediately. So this has nothing to do with XIM.

I tried to copy the script to cronusmax plus. The first compile is not successful.  I will check again

Thanks piiwii, the issues you are describing is because we aren't able to access the built-in unique calibration present in every Joycon. So, we have to infer it at runtime. Your script gets around that. Can you tell me if each person that uses it have to adjust numbers to make it work best with their joycon?
