Hi, I will be playing and sometimes, but not all the time, my keyboard and mouse will stop working, I look down and I notice the apex is flashing yellow. I do not get a controller disconnected message on my PS4, it just stops working, to fix it I have to unplug and plug the apex back in, and after going through the start up sequence again, it works. This is just extremely inconvenient as it can happen mid match rendering me useless for 15 seconds.
Thanks.

Welcome to the community. I recommend attaching the controller direct with the console to charge for 1 hour. XIM and hub should be disconnected while charging.

Could you please share your setup so we can learn more about the issue?

mouse:
keyboard:
extras: third party hub, switch, extended cables, titan, cronus?

Hi, the controller is always fully charged for at least one hour as i've made sure I do this after suspecting this may be the cause. I have a razer death adder elite mouse, and a steel series apex 300 keyboard, i have turned the lights off of both to prevent excessive power consumption so I don't really know what else to do.
Thanks

You took the battery out of the controller itself?

They may be referring to an Xbox controller, unless they've opened their controller.

Charging the controller and disabling LEDs don't always help with power issues. If you're able to test using a low power mouse and keyboard without lighting this is what I recommend next. Otherwise it may help to add additional power to the hub. APEX supports power adapters using the spec below and can be found on amazon or ebay.

5V 3A power adapter  ([3.5mm x 1.35mm], center-positive)

Oh I see, is that what the small hole is on the front of the apex itself? on the opposite side to the usb ports?

Yes, that's for a power adapter. Some setups can have stability issues like this if they don't receive enough power, this is what I would try next if you don't have access to low power peripherals.

hi, I have ordered a power adaptor and that will arrive on Tuesday, but I have been trying to put up with it until then, but for no reason it has gotten so much worse, it now disconnects at least twice every ten minutes, making it unusable, is there any reason it may have gotten worse? I have ensured the controller is charged for at least an hour before I play? thanks.

It could be power or an attached device, there is no way to know unless you start troubleshooting power or devices.

Hi, the power supply arrived to (the one I was told to buy) and it hasn't fixed the disconnection issue. I've disabled all peripheral lights to reduce power usage, I have tried 3 controllers, 3 cables and one band new cable to connect my controller and it is still disconnecting. I have checked if I have the latest firmware and I do, but it still keeps disconnecting, very annoyed at this and thinking about just returning it this can't be resolved.

Could you send a tracelog after the issue happens? It may tell us more about the issue.

The link below contains instructions on how to capture the log. Be sure to have the log window open while gaming. After the issue occurs please share the last 25-50 lines of the log in your message here. Note the instructions are the same for both XIM4 and XIM Apex.

It looks like there is a timeout then it just stops working. Could you try using XIM in another port on the console? If you're using an extension or usb switch remove these. Have we tried using another controller cable? If not let's try this as well.
