XIM Apex 250hz vs 500hz vs 1000hz
« on: 06:35 AM - 05/17/18 »
So far, I have only played with 1000hz on my XIM Apex since the first day. I've recently changed it to 500hz and then to 250hz, and I have to say that there is a huge difference. I am playing on a PS4.

250hz is amazing, it seems to be way better than 1000hz, because the input feels a lot more direct. Also, I couldn't notice any additional delay, everything felt actually a lot more responsive and came way closer to pc gaming!

It may be that your mouse's actual polling rate is lower than advertised, but above 250Hz. Find out by using Zowie's Mouse Rate Checker.

Interesting, but my mouse (Logitech G Pro) has 1000hz according to this website.

I've got 3 G502s and according to the zowie website, and mouserate.exe, none of them are able to hold 1KHz, neither are any of my other mouse devices apparently.

I'm not convinced that they are accurate to be fair, but run them at 500Hz in any case, although never noticed any jitter when using them a 1KHz.

Very interesting. Can't think why your mouse is much smoother then. Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable than me will chip in. I'd be interested in their opinions as well.

its a common problem with mice, if you look up setting sheets of PC pro players they also mostly use 500hz instead of 1000hz as you need a mouse of perfect production quality to achieve constant 1000hz

1000hz with 12k dpi makes the mouse too sensitive even with low sensitivity, making it hard to make micro adjustments. I settled for 500hz and 4000dpi and itís a lot better for pin point accuracy
