I heard that this DPI range is the best for XIM. So should I put it at 4000 DPI for maximum experience or lower?

Try different DPI settings and see which one feels the best to you.
Your mouse mat, 180 distance and preference of AA all affect which DPI will work best. It's always going to be down to your personal preference.

3200 is what I use after running 10k-16k DPI for ages. 3200 is a lot better. 500Hz polling with 3200 seems to be the sweet spot for using the xim.

I use 3200, partly because I found the 3-4k range to be the sweetspot and partly because I like to try different mice, and mice like Zowie and FinalMouse only go up to 3200 dpi. So there's taht.

I've settled on 3200 @ 500Hz and it seems to work well.

You need to figured out by yourself. Is kind of dexterity + sensor performance + mouse pad specific.

For me that depends on what game I play. 12000 for games like PUBG and Rainbow Six. 3200 for games such as Fortnite that have Aim Assist to make it easier to hit headshots.
