XIM4 to XIM APEX Ballistics Converter
« on: 04:38 AM - 03/09/18 »
https://ximconvert.000webhostapp.com/curve.php

Example usage:

Example result (XIM4 input on left, converted Apex curve on right):

Keep in mind that it's not possible to perfectly convert curves as XIM Apex uses incompatible intervals on the X axis (steps of 2% vs steps of 5%). That means that many values are interpolated and can be slightly off compared where they would be on XIM4. But I think it will work well for most curves or at the very least give a starting point for recreating curves.

Also keep in mind that I'm using free webhosting, so it may go down outside of my control and that it's not that well tested so if it doesn't work when it should, let me know and I will try to fix it.

There was an awesome curve for BC2 made by LLIMIT that I thought I would lose. Going to try and convert it.

Im using also curves to simulate PC kind of behavior, first slower but little acceleration the end.

Could be wice to test others curves too.

But why just not draw (set) it to the apex as it eas earlier if you want the same?

Its not that complicated, and maybe its not so dangerous if its not symmetrical ( like that one in first post).

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say, but if you don't find my tool useful then just don't use it.

Your tool is very nice if you want to copy exactly :)

Curves what i have used are not that fine-adjusted so i usually just set ”something like before” thats why faster to create.

How to copy what? You copy and paste the XIM4 curve you'd like into the tool. Then you submit, then you copy the thing it spits out below into the Ballistics Editor on the Apex which is located in the aim section of the hip/ads pages..

Thank you for this.  I spent a good portion of my day today fudging around in excel using the slope formula, and then the fill series to come up with the missing numbers that I needed for the Apex.  After getting through 2 of my games, I gave up as it was tedious. This is a much better option!

The link is a simple HTML form. I cleaned up the HTML just now but I can't imagine any web browser having major issues with it as it was before. I also added a simple error message if it fails to parse the input curve. But it's not doing any particular validation besides looking for the telltale  X4MB: :X4MB bookends in the original curve.
