Xim4 wired to console USB problem
« on: 10:02 AM - 02/14/18 »
I have started to get issues with the cable which connects from the Xim to the PS Pro, it's a little loose and now lose's power.  It takes quite a few attempts to get it powered up and if it is moved slightly it loses power.

Is this a problem with the device or the cable.  I tried an Anker Powerline Micro USB to try and diagnose the problem, but it would not even power up at all?

I am hoping it will hold out, until i can get an Apex.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. When you wiggle the connection of the cable between the cable and your device's C port does it cut in and out?

wedge something between the port in to the xim4 and the controller wire hooked into the back for a stable connection. Or change the cable. Make sure to buy a cable that its not a charging wire but also a data wire.

Unfortunately if this is the case it may need to be repaired do you recall when and where you purchased it?

I forgot to add this in the post. Your Anker Powerline Micro USB is a charging cable is not a data transfer micro usb. Just a charging cable and the xim4 will not support it. Try to use a phones cable that comes with a samsung or lg. One that comes with a tablet. But when looking for a cable make sure it says that it can transfer data not just charge!

"PowerLine Micro USB

The incredibly fast and durable charging cable.

Try the cable that you plug you controller into the xim with. If that works your xim is not the problem.

The powerline cable does transfer data according to the amazon product page and customer reviews. Strange that this isn't mentioned on Anker's site.

Faster Charging: Thick gauge wiring and reduced cable resistance enable PowerLine to provide the speed possible charge via any USB charger, plus data transfer.
