Using Xim4 with an Xbox One S.

Firmware 4.00.20170103

Worked well until this week, when it stopped connecting with the wireless keyboard and mouse (same console and peripherals I have used all along). Xbox controller works fine.

Tried reset of Xbox, new cables, different keyboard and mouse, etc.

Cannot connect to PC to do a reset of Xim since the Xim is now not recognized by several PCs, using both USB 2.0 and 3.0., and various data cables. The Xim update software says the Xim cannot be found.

Xim light patterns appear normal. The keyboard, mouse, controller, console icons are all present in the manager. I am able to load and change game profiles via the manager when the Xbox controller is not connected. If I connect it, I can no longer change commands: It stays stuck on “listening.” I’m guessing the (3-dot) USB port for console connection has gone bad.

Unfortunately, I'm about 10 days past my 1-year warranty.

hey,

did you try a different usb cable between your xim and your controller?
also if you can still connect to your xim via the xim manager, what icons can you see in the top icon bar when all devices are connected to your xim?
there should be a mouse, keyboard, controller and console, let us know if any of these are missing or are replaced by a blank square

All icons present. Mouse, keyboard, controller and console. Tried several data cables.

Could you try these flash troubleshooting steps? Each of these steps is known to solve issues related to using the flash tool with XIM4, be sure to try them all.

1) Unplug all peripherals from XIM4, the ports should be empty.
2) Attach XIM4 to USB 2.0 ports on the PC, you may have issues with 3.0 USB ports.
3) Use another cable between XIM4 and PC.
4) Disable antivirus, use safe mode if necessary.
5) Use another PC if available.

All tried/done, including connecting via USB 2.0 on another PC in safe mode. Still getting Xim4 cannot be found...

With your xim4 being unresponsive to both the console and multiple PCs unfortunately it may need to be looked at for repair. Do you recall when and where you purchased it?

Yes, bought new on Amazon on Jan. 30, 2017.
