Any BF1 players here?
« on: 01:09 AM - 01/06/18 »
Hi guys, Iíve had my Xim4 a couple of years and mostly play Battlefield 1 these days. I found my perfect setup 18 months ago and never play with the settings as it feels as natural as when I used to play competitively in my PC clan days.

All has been great until the latest patch but now the aiming has gone to @#$% for me in the last couple of weeks and I canít fathom out what is going on.

I would be greatful if someone can at least confirm everything is still fine for them.

hi tim,

- the auto rotation is nerfed  ( crosshairs wont snap to an enemy as strong as before.
- im not sure but ive heard the ad ad spam is changed, not sure your feeling this on consoles (xim4)
- there is some acceleration added to some movements, hard to explain but i had to lower my sensetivity.
- look in your settings and make sure to set stick acceleration is zero %

that was movement and aim changes as far as i know, there a ton of other gameplay changes but the wont mess with your controls.

Yes , I have the same issues since turning tides update.

Why doesnt Xim give support?
They should release a new update for Xim settings.

We pay a lot of money for just messing with sensitivities and stiff??

I dont have time to figure out which settings work.
I have paid for this already!

@xim4 : please release a new update ASAP!!!

Thanks guys, good to know it's not just me got hell of a lot worse all of a sudden  :)

I've just taken a look at the EA forums and there are multiple threads of disgruntled players complaining at why they have changed the aiming mechanics on a game that has been out for so long already. Really annoying when you have put the practise into build up muscle memory and they mess around with something that wasn't broken in the first place.

I will try to sort, but if I can't resolve it could be time for a different game.

I think the problem is not the game , its Xim.
They lack support. Maybe there is a good alternative of xim , instead of playing other game.

Ps: whatsup with all these security questions when posting a message?
Such amateur stuff, or they think they r funny.

I have been playing BF1 on PS4 Pro since launch (220 hours in game). I do not see any changes to in game look mechanic after the latest patch. Latest patch notes attest to disabling auto main when aiming trough  the fire. Auto aim always had the mind of it's own. All in all, I don't sense any difference. I kept all of my in game and XIM settings as before.

@noregret

There is certainly a difference.
When using any infantry sniper u can feel it directly.
There is no aim assist/ lock or whatsoever.
The PS joystick , with normal play does have this aim assist/lock.
Also in medic guns, precision is gone.

So I think you are just a bad soldier if you cannot see difference!
Punk. Even with bad controsl iíll beat you..

L2 R2 spamming has been reduced

ADAD spam has been reduced

Get use to not using any aim assist and u won't have these issues, I've not used any aim assist from day one, and my aiming/settings feel the same as before

I have no idea what u mean by those reductions...

Anyway,
then it is a disadvantage to play with xim on ps4, because
ps controller does have aim assist / auto lock etc.
So controller can aim assist and mouse not.

Its better to buy PC then to buy XIM4 in that case. Because no differenece.

Or xim will give support and create a new bf1 download file for settings.

I will beat you all no matter what  8)

XIM4 with mouse and keyboard works fine on BF1, there's been some slight changes in game, but those changes really don't change much for aiming with a mouse.

Honestly over all the changes have made it so that there's less auto rotation which gives me a bit more of an edge vs controller users who generally relied on it too much.

In short: Its likely your mouse/keyboard settings and/or XIM settings need adjustments.

Nope you are incorrect, ps controller has aim assist.
They lock and shoot.

Xim no more.

So controller has more advantage than xim , after bf1 update.

Xim should make new update.
Otherwise people should not buy xim for bf1.

Just sounds like you were so use to abusing the aim assist, that now they've reduced it, you cant aim and relied on the crutch snap on abuse too much

This is amusing to me

The controller doesn't have some magical "lock and shoot" aim assist. You are incorrect.

Aim Assist was nerfed across the board on console, controller or xim, doesn't matter.

The nerf really didn't effect the aiming that much for XIM users to be honest. I can still snipe just fine, I can still out gun people on assault etc...

The ST is near perfect. This game has the best look mechanic of any fps on console.

The ST does not need an update at all.

If you want to tweak the ST settings some, please check out RML's post:

http://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=50289.0

You are literally the first person I've seen complain about the ST itself on BF1 in a long time.

Hundreds of us use it daily with no issues.

@Jister
I think u will get abused soon.
Why should i not aim assist if the controller can also?
Doesnt make sense punk! Anyway, now there is no assist at all.

@
Thanks for the advice.
The problem i have is I cant aim assist anymore.
Only annoying is with snipers, because PS controller snipers do aim assist almost immediately after aiming.
With xim this is not the case anymore. So here xim is disadvantage.
There is no time to adjust aiming when the other one already has you locked and ready to destroy you.

Also with the other guns , there is no assist at all.
The link i already tried, doesnt make any difference at all.

I think xim should create a new BF1 settings file.
Otherwise controller has more advantage , so no need to buy xim.
Better to buy PC with m+k and same level playingfield.

By the way, I will still take you all out in game even without assist 8)

I almost play only Snipers in BF1.
I have no problems. Same huge ammount on kills as before the update.
Works fine for me.
