@ThePro & Lupo - Destiny 2

Hey Jezz was wondering what you and Lupo are currently using settings wise for Destiny 2?  RML is putting his out and I was curious as to what you guys are trying.

It's early still and I'm still low level and not experimented much and have nothing to share yet but am using RML as a starting point.  So far while leveling I'm liking it.

I'll try and keep current's here as I can unless Pro makes a thread or refer to RML's D2 advanced thread.

RML's advanced thread:
http://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=56658.0

For Lupo's current settings go to his Twitch channel at https://www.twitch.tv/drlupo.  Once in the channel type !XIM in the chat for a direct link to his XIM philosophy with regards to XIM and his most current XIM settings for Destiny 2 and others such as Overwatch.  I was going to link his xim code here but he provides images and I  didn't want to take away from his twitch work and personal xim support.

ThePro's posted Test setup as found in this thread as well.  Refer to his post for mouse settings  -

I'm looking forward to what they come up with as well. These guys play Alot more competitive then I do and will have some solid PvP curves I'm sure.

DrLupo has updated his settings.

What are your thoughts RML? I used the same curve for D1 with a lot of success. I like your curves for those beautiful auto rifles but I haven't tried this curve on the new D2 ST.

I think his setup will work well for people that don't struggle much with Aim Assist or with weapons that don't utilize strong AA.

I totally get why he would go with no curve on HIP. This does help with muscle memory slightly by sticking with Linear. My only issue with linear on HIP is tracking targets that are in your face. A curve can help track targets better at various ranges without having to crank up the sensitivity.

The ADS curve is very slight obviously with a little velocity at the beginning and a slight decline at the end. Not sure why he felt the need for the decline from such a slight velocity change. My guess is he was over aiming slightly or just wanted to stick with the full turn speed scale. I'm a little surprised he's running this with such low sensitivity. Would seem to have quite a bit of sticky aim, which isn't always a bad thing for some people.

The sprint curve is my old one from Destiny and works well. :)

RML

I was surprised he used the same ADS curve as well. However, I used it for the majority of my PvP experience with good success. However, I had to make adjustments from 3200 dpi, 46.46 XIM sensitivity and 1.25 X/Y. I loved it and tried it on D2 and it felt like poop. Though, I didn't try it out on the new ST either.

I have no idea how he plays at such a low XIM sensitivity. I tried his exact setup and it felt way too sluggish.

Everyone's different man. I haven't tried his settings yet, but I honestly can tell by looking they wouldn't be right for me. The only way I could use his ADS curve at 3600 dpi is with sens up around 36-40, maybe even higher.

Some people are very accurate with low sens though and they've gotten used to pushing through AA that way. It's just not for me.

Lupo spends an enormous amount of time playing Destiny. Alot can be said for practice, practice, practice. At the end of the day. You can be good with just about any setup if you use it long enough.

If there's any truly bad thing about curves is they can lead to constant tweaking which doesn't allow you time to master the setup.

I'm getting close to what settings I'm going to stick with for Destiny 2. After that, it's just patience and practice.

Have you tried my ADS 1.2 curve yet?

Agreed on all accounts.

I will be trying your ADS curve 1.2 tonight. Should be interesting to see what the differences will be.

Rml,
I recently left the PC world and have been trying your curves. I am very OCD about finding that perfect mouse setting but finding it difficult with XIM.

I first put about 20hours into destiny 2 with no ballistics. Tweaked dpi, polling, and xim sensitivity until I Found my sweet spot which was 6k dpi, 500 polling,14 hip, 14ads.

I tried your original ballistics which felt good. But then tried your newest(1.0 curve anti assist) 1.2 x/y ballistics. I did poor. But then put X/Y to 1.25 and ripped it up.

I also tried 4k dpi to mimic you. I translated my sensitivity but found my sweet spot for that dpi was about 15 ads...not sure why thats possible. But found I play better at 6k for some reason.

Based off this info can i get some of your pro advise. What may work better for me? Why is the 1.25 x/y work better for me? Should I attempt Dr.Lupos ballistics? I know every player is different but was hoping providing my personnel sweet spots u could guide me the right direction. I am pvp focused.

Thank you tons for all the post and advice you have done. As a beginner reading your posts have helped alot!

1.25 Y,X ratio will make vertical movement more pronounced. Doesn't surprise me that this helps with Destiny 2 given the insane amount of recoil some guns experience. I'm sure it's helping because you can control recoil a little easier.

Yes, you should try Lupo's curve. He's pretty good with PvP so I can't knock his settings for some people.

I've personally finally about finished the Campaign so I'll be shifting my focus more towards PvP soon. I did play a few hrs the other day with my 1.2 curve and really liked the way it felt.

I'll be posting a setup very shortly I've been doing a lot of pve lately trying to level up on my free time.  I always recommend making multiple taps of curves and see which one feels best, then stick to it

I'ml liking pro's main ADS curve he posted in his updated/final setup D1 thread.   I also like the hand cannon curve.  Not sure which I prefer yet.  I'm leaning toward the main curve as the acceleration is mostly linear.  Curious to see what settings you've been working on, pro!

try this curve or use RML's he has a pretty solid curve similar to another one I use when I switch back and forth.
