QcK Gaming Mouse Pad and 12,000 DPI?
« on: 12:16 PM - 12/30/16 »
wasup fellers

I have a g303 set to 12,000 DPI and I was wondering if anyone is using that mouse pad?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000UEZ36W/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483121847&sr=1-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=steelseries&dpPl=1&dpID=315kwa51AFL&ref=plSrch

At 12,000 DPI it feels really touchy... like if someone slams a toilet in my house the vibrations would move the mouse... and is there any way to like set your mouse custom to your mousepad? Possibly that would help.

Thanks

Hi
i did not really understand what is the problem but i assume when you are moving in small movements you mouse is really sensitive right ?

have you tried calibrating your mousepad to your current mouse ? if not i suggest doing that first
if that did not work my suggestion would be lowering your dpi to around 3000-6000 and increasing the sensitivity instead  ( 12k dpi and 1 sensitivity = 3k dpi and 4 sensitivity )

ps : make sure you are using what is recommended wich is usually max but you can check here to be sure : http://xim4.com/settings

I have a g502 at 12k 500hz same mouse pad.  Try lowering xim sens or you can try the new beta drop stv1 post and enable steady aim.

Also enable angle snapping it seems to smooth it out a little.

I have my sensitivity set to 9 hip and 6 ads for cod iw it does seem fast outside of the aim assist bubble but makes for good control when you in it which is the most important part.

I think odin said that when you use soft and cloth mouse pad like this, you should always lower your DPI of your mouse and increase the sens of the xim instead....

Alright, when I get home I'll try 3000DPI/1000 polling with 40 sens and see if it's smoother. And yes; the issue is it feels too sensitive, "jittery"

I had to lower my mouse DPI (G502) to 8000 with that mouse pad. I recently went to a hard Logitech pad and have bumped my DPI back up to 12k with very good results.

I haven't had this issue with my g502 unless it's dirty I use default mouse surface 12k DPI, 500hz polling, angle snapping enabled.

what you experience is the cloth fibers of the cloth mousepad irritating the sensor of the mouse
with 12.000 dpi the resolution of the sensor is so precise that even those fine fibers can cause jitter

either reduce the dpi to 3000 or use a plastic pad
alternatively a clothpad with a finer surface

either way 3000 dpi is absolutly enough to play with, there is hardly any gain from going higher

I recently dropped it to 6000, and I think I might drop it further to 3000 as per your recommendation.

I have a cat and cat hair inevitably gets EVERYWHERE. I can never keep my mousepad clean so I think this is my only option. The jittering and skipping is becoming too much. It works perfectly 49 times out of 50 but that one time it screws up always gets me killed. Plus it makes it obvious to others that I'm using a mouse when they see the skipping.

Also enable angle snapping it seems to smooth it out a little.

I also did this too, and it helps. Good tip.

I've bought myself a Logitech G403 one week ago and was used it with my Roccat Taito King-size 5mm mousepad which was perfect for playing on PC with my old Logitech G400S mouse. Yesterday I switched mousepad to QcK+ Na`Vi edition (just a QcK+, but 4mm thickness), adjusted G403 on it in LGS, lowered polling rate from 1000Hz to 500Hz and now my mouse movements are really smooth. And yes, it's on 12k DPI.
By the way maybe this possible jitter depends on HIP and ADS sensitivity in XIM Manager? I also lowered them to 7.44/3.1.
Logitech G403 @ 12.000DPI 500Hz (HIP ~ 7.5, ADS ~ 3.1)

I found on the QcK pad that 12K DPI on my g502 was way too jittery for how i play, i dropped it to 4K and it is perfect now.

angle snapping is in your LGS software or whatever mouse you haves software. PS I tried it didint like it. Also, I calibrated my mouse pad to my mouse and it's working very well now
