RML has stated countless times that this setup supports only Iron sight snipers and nothing with a scope due to reduced aim assist on scopes you dont need a curve at all! If you use infantry variants of said snipers you will be fine. I suggest you make 2 profiles: 1 for sniping with scoped snipers that has no curves and one with Infantry snipers and other class weapons with this setup.

I personally prefer this setup even with scopes now, when it's applied right. If you're taking my curves and just applying them to your current sensitivities then you're not using them as intended. The intention was to allow you to nearly cut your sens in half and yet still be able to overcome AA. By doing that you can retain micro movements for long range shots, yet still have no issues tracking closer targets.

Sorry, but i do not unserstand yet, about auto spot config in ads. You remap the buttons layout for ads? How spot and the commorse do not appear.

Can you explain your config with more detailed.

Sorry about my poor english

Thanks

I wouldn't call it "auto spot." Basically it's just about making it really easy to spam the spot button. I just changed my button layout for the ADS config. I took a button that was easily accessible (right mouse button for me because I'm a NAV user), then use it to spam spot while ADSing. Como rose  does not appear unless you hold the button down. For spotting purposes, you will be quickly pressing and releasing the button.

Hi RML - thanks for the guide & curve - am a newbie at this. finally got this installed & breath ADS set up, not used it yet.

Quick couple of questions;

What guns benefit from the ADS/breath hold - am guessing its only certain weapons?

What does steady aim & boost do, is it worthwhile using? My mouse sensitivity is approx 40/45 - not sure what dpi is, will need to attach to laptop when I get home to check - higher the dpi the better?

Played against a few MnK players in a friendly match the other day - they walked through our squad like we weren't there, reason for coming to forum, only use vanilla settings so looking for tips.

Am an older mature player - need something to help against the young guns with lightening reflexes & aim!

Also any tips on how to control recoil better lol  ???

Holding breath only helps snipers with scopes, and it's a little inconsistent due to the game mechs. not allowing you to hold your breath right after sprinting.

Steady aim adds an algorithm to the ADS translator, kind of a smoothing feature that was created for some members that liked it with COD games. I personally wouldn't recommend using it, but everyone's different.

Boost changes the dead zone. The dead zone affects how mouse movement registers. When you add alot of boost your aim speed will increase dramatically. This isn't always a good thing, it can be like going from 0 - 100 with nothing in between. Boost can sometimes help with Aim Assist by adding some velocity and pushing through. But I wouldn't recommend it for that either, it's just too inconsistent. Boost is best used for unsupported games look mechs or things like driving vehicles or operating turrets. Those mechs. typically have a bigger dead zone then HIP or ADS does, so you can add boost to help.

For more info on boost and many other things I suggest you look at the "Advanced Settings" link in my signature.

As for being the old guy trying to keep up with the young bucks out there, I feel you buddy, I'm right there with ya!

Use Zombie's setup or just play with no curves and Aim Assist off.

I use the Snipe button on the G402 for this purpose and I use Hold behavior. I've renamed this button in LGS as Kpad1.

I've flipped the joysticks so that while holding Kpad1 I can use the left stick to easily navigate the wheel. Once you chose your response or request, release kpad1 and it will register. The one catch is you need to hold still to do this or you'll quickly be looking to the sky lol. I've personally made it a habit to lie down when asking for first aid, ammo and such. Probably a good idea to be in cover for most request anyways.  :)

CHEERS!

So, just to clarify, you're mapping commo rose to joystick and a keypad press, flipping sticks so you can use the stick for navigation?

I think I'm lost too. Aren't you holding down the right mouse button when you ADS?

If you look in RMLs signature, he uses a NAV controller so I'm guessing his ADS is set to L2.

Nailed It! This is correct, I use a Nav, sooo... I use right click to actually jump in hip. While in ADS, which I activate with left trigger, I don't need to jump so I bound spot to right click.

Sry guys.. been out of town.
