Well. Tried to communicate with the sensor. Aaaand, nothing...
So, the possibilities are: My code doesnt work, my wiring is wrong or i killed it (i was not gentle with soldering iron >:().

So to limit possibilities to code i will connect teensy directly to the mouse pcb. Good thing i bought 2 of these. Maybe i should have bought 3 or 4.

oh no, sounds a lot like the desoldering killed the sensor, You had that feeling before.

Well at least lets take some pictures of the sensor now that we have a change.

Thats the silicon inside IC and that area on the other pic is the actual image sensor.

And as we can see there is something on the sensor already. So even if it would work it could give false values.

Well, the good news are that my diy board might not be faulty. The bad news are that the code doesnt work with that new thing either. Need to investigate.

I think you need to consult the teensy makers. How is this supposed to work? Teensy clearly says it has mouse capability?

Wow, just coming across this thread. It's so cool there are members in this forum that can do stuff like this. Someone theorizes the perfect XIM mouse, next thing you know it's getting built!

Good luck!

yeah we team up well with W11ce just wish I could take off some work.

W11ce the touch surface can i test that already by backpacking the teensy on the naos? I use claw so don't touch the back of the mouse

what touch sensor did you get roads? awfully curious about that particular aspect. there are a bunch of such mice available but i never used any and i wonder about drawbacks and tricks only hands on time can expose. for me it's harder to imagine it as comfy since i'm a palm 'lazybutt' griper mostly but i can see it being a match made in heaven for claw grip.

i hypothesize that you could add more functionality to the touch than just press on/off with good results. like mimicking the apple laptop touchpad gestures for stuff like scroll, forward and backwards etc in a PC profile and even add contact areas in the button so that if you touch it on the outter area that you normally don't use it holds a different bind or changes profile. just don't add functions to the XIM profile that could "confuse the mouse" mid game where it doesn't recognise a tap and thinks it's a swipe making you reload in the face of your otherwise headshot enemy.
soon..

W can make copper foil, shoots when touched. I cant aim when holding mb. Nice thing is you have button belo the real click for reload for example.
