Ladies and gentlemen, i have new candidate for most annoying component to desolder. Mouse sensors. Id rather desolder DS4 sticks than these. I doubt even abcs super sniffer can help with these.

W11ce doesnít this fit the 1800 Mouse hull? Really necessary to do a special board or is this for testing purposes only?
Diy breakout board. Mainly for testing purposes. Its huge compared to what is needed. I overestimated the amount of components it needs.

things seem to be coming along nicely.
How do you know that ?!? There are only 2 pics.

because it went from a planned idea of another thread into having its own topic with 2 pics of the beginning of the materialization process of that idea, or rather pool of ideas.

that said, your update shine a rather different light though.

Not really. So far looking ok. I was just desoldering the sensor, which is a big pita. Maybe some of that anger was included in that post.

I hope it still works. I heated it quite a lot.

I build from zero. In the end probably easier.

Also wanted to show you those nice little capacitor and transistor i reused from mouse.

how do you want to procede with the project?
get a known mouse with a nice shape and put your stuff in its case?
or print your own custom one with a 3d printer?

Not really sure yet. This project overall is something that has no clear goal. Would be first one where something newish would be created. So far we have focused on some small simple mods to existing devices.

First i will try to get that one sensor working. Then 2 and try if it feels different. About shape im not yet sure. I prefer G700 / G602 shape. Roads wants something like mionix naos 7000.

For some weird reason im feeling optimistic about this. Even though i know there are multiple possible failure points and things that i will be surprised if those even work.

I think easiest would be to make a kit you can put in a cheapo mouse. Later W11ce can make a hull specially for it when he has a printer.

I think the problem will be to calculate two sensors accurately. I mean even the slightest difference in position results in slightly different data. I don't think the Teensy can calculate the difference fast enough? Well thatís my concern.

Wiring is done now for one sensor. I will try if i can get code working tonight.

Tbh the second pcb is overkill, but at least now it is "wireless" as there is no ugly spaghetti mess.
