Hats no bueno. Maybe the devs will release a change of look mechanics on their game in the near future

I still wouldn't be able to train the game. At best you could have better performance using a substitute config in place of game support.

Thanks for confirming. Your controller can enter wired mode but isn't detected by XIM with a direct connection. I'm assuming you're using the same controller made by Sony? Note that third party controllers aren't supported.

A few steps that could resolve this:

1) Factory reset APEX using the latest firmware. You can find the latest firmware below. Please read the instructions on the download page.


2) Try hard resetting the console. Press and hold the power button on the front of the console for 15 seconds. Once off unplug the power cable to the console for 60 seconds. Reconnect the power cable and power on the console. Attach all peripherals to XIM then connect XIM to the console.
3) Try connecting APEX to other ports on the console.
4) Connect the hub to the console then connect APEX to the hub, connect the controller directly to APEX. If you see the 4x green lights in this configuration there is a contact issue between APEX and console.

Yes the change is listed in that message, it's updated game support. This is due to the game developer changing the game look mechanic. If there are other changes aside from updated support these changes will be listed in the 'latest' thread in game support.

Welcome to the community. No, you would use XIM4 firmware with XIM4 and APEX firmware with APEX.

Yes, configs are stored on XIM, not on the phone that uses Manager. Manager is just an application to change settings on your XIM.

Updates like this will always be updated game support in the form of a new ST unless otherwise mentioned on the "latest" thread or on our twitter @TeamXIM. This is necessary when the game developer has changed the game's look mechanic.

4.4 is already out.

The deadzone feels off for both ADS and Scoped ADS. Is there any way to fix this?

The sniper rifle look mechanic uses the same deadzone as Hip and normal ADS. EPIC has changed how granular movement can be and this is more visible when using scoped weapons. Reduce your in-game scope sensitivity to compensate.

Thanks for confirming. Unfortunately I'm at a loss. I'm not sure why you have a power fault without devices attached to APEX. Your APEX may need to be looked at for repair. If you purchased from xim.tech/shop in the last year please open an RMA using your store account:

I started work on the game yesterday but I'm unable to stay in longer than about eight minutes in the best circumstances. The game has a complex look mechanic, at least more so than pubg. I won't be able to train it the same way or at all now until I stay in the game game uninterrupted for a longer period of time.

Do you see the green lights and console icon in the HUD screen after the first test?

hmm, that's strange. We could check for a contact issue, do you see bent pins or anything out of the ordinary if you look into the USB plug?

We could also place the hub between the console and APEX to test against a contact issue. Does it power fault if you do this?

Really, it will happen when APEX is started without the hub with an empty port? If yes, please try to factory reset using the latest firmware.

Welcome to the community. I would expect these to work but for best performance I recommend using a gaming mouse with a quality sensor and high DPI. The G502 is my go to recommendation.

XIM APEX supports most peripherals that do not require special drivers or software. Devices that are reported not working will be added to our hardware list. If your peripheral is not listed then it may be compatible. Please let us know if you come across a device that is not compatible.

Fallout 3 and NV have bad look mechanics. Fallout 4 has a better look mechanic by comparison and is very much playable. I would still place it just below Halo or Destiny though.
