XIM Link / Re: Difference xim link and T2/CM
« on: 04:47 PM - 06/18/18 »
But can u say that xim link is better than T2 or is is the same?
They're very different, and capable of different things. In terms of pure performance I'm not the guy to say, and I am personally biased towards Link as a user of that (I have been known to dislike T2 - I will neither confirm nor deny)

It really depends on what you want to do. If you want to use tons of abuse scripts that are very complex, and you don't want to code yourself, you will most likely be able to find the scripts for free or for sale on the consoletuner forums. Xim Link can do pretty much anything that T2 can do (I don't know of any limitations in terms of pure scripting) but has a much smaller user base, and a much, much smaller base of script programmers. (pretty much just me and a couple others atm)

If you want to use scripts already available for Link (or are willing to donate for new complex scripts, or be polite for simple scripts/help) and have a PC handy, and want to use your fancy peripheral lighting software, go ahead and buy that $10 transfer cable and give Link a try.

If you know of T2 scripts you want to use, go ahead and buy a T2 for 10 times that.

Thanks for the input, I didn't realize that T2 wasn't event driven, but I guess it makes sense. Would it be possible to stray away from AHK all together and develop an XInput based live polling scripting system for Link?

I know there is lots of other work to be done for Link first, and this would be a lot of work for you, but I know that functionality like that would be great for Link.

Titan 2 has more scripts, Xim Link is cheaper and gives you PC drivers for peripheral lighting scripts etc

@MRog40 did you ever find new settings for this game?

I still use the Overwatch ST with the curves I made for the game. To be honest, I am not playing it very much. I'm waiting for them to patch the look mechanics and getting an official ST.

There isn't much of a reason for me to want to grind anyways considering there is no pursuit of Royalty on the PS4 version.

What are you even asking?

Anyone who played this with a Xim4 can tell me if this alone is worth buying the Xim Apex for?

Is there a noticeable difference?
Your Xim4 is fine. Just wait a couple weeks and the ST should be here.

I played fortnite ot is pretty good just sniping is off. What about r6? Is that pretty good one the apex?
R6 isn't great on the Apex, at least it wasn't 6 months ago when I played. There is quite of big of advanced settings discussions, and ubisoft seems to change how stuff works and break it quite often.

In about 2 weeks H1Z1 will have an ST and should be pretty good, but to be honest there aren't many good shooters on console. Right now Black Ops 3 is free, and is a great call of duty if you haven't played it. I would highly recommend trying that out.

Just turn your settings down

Sniper deadzone is different than regular weapon ADS deadzone. Both can't be right, blame epic for having different deadzones for different weapons.

Have you read the stickies? You need to read the stickies.

It doesn't take long switching. My brain usually just flicks a switch. I find native more accurate even then xim with aim assist and playing at 144hz is a good boast as well.
100%. After playing Xim for a few hours and hopping on CS and easily tapping heads makes me realize (no offense) how bad xim really is. I hate to say that, but compared to native xim is horrible.

I LOVE Xim, would never play console without it, and have learned to adapt and be good with it, but it just can't compete with native MKB on 144Hz in terms of accuracy and precision.

I'm pretty sure Alan McGregor already has a guide for this. Make sure you add deactivation buttons to your build mode config such as your triangle key

Isnt default sync at 125hz The Xim4 experience? ObsIV?
You're confusing sync for the operating frequency of Xim. Sync is labeled as Off/Default/Common/Slow etc and is representative of framerate in game. Sync used to be called by those rates, but now has the word names to make it easier to understand.

I play both PC and Xim. There is a definite difference, and it usually takes me about 30 minutes to get my aim to peak performance after switching. If I've been playing CoD on PS4, I always shoot bots for 30 minutes before queueing a competitive match of CS.
